Switching the game's language from French to English caused it to crash on startup, with an error message: "failed to load sound bank (...) you have a build problem".

I've switched back to French and am currently downloading the update. I hope it'll let me play. Activision had better fix that shit.

Heh.. got to use an MSMC again and partner it up Silencer + Ghost + Tac Ins. and scorestreaks: UAV>CUAV>VSAT

Got to call the VSAT like 3 times lol. Enemies didn't know what hit them. Thank god the guns that I've been getting have silencer on.

I don't see the appeal in levelling up, to be honest. I'd rather have everything unlocked from the start and everyone fight with equal options/equipment, as in Counter-Strike. The game should be rewarding and fun in itself.

leveling up is fun and rewarding and it is part of the game. It is not seperated from the game, it is part of it.

The glass breaking hindering view on the Riot Shield is absolutely frustrating. You have one chance to get a kill with the shield and if you somehow manage to get that kill you are absolutely useless until you die and respawn. And don't get me started on how the shield doesn't even cover your body if you strafe even slightly left or right.

Edit: Was just killed by a Throwing Axe that hit me dead in the middle of the shield. There's no logic in that.

But you don't have everything unlocked. That's why you have to prestige.

I really wanna like this game but i just can't. It's so bad. Spawning is hilarious, the time i get shot in the back.. Map design is horrible, worst in cod history!
There is no reason to use anything other then SMG's/870.. hipfire fro dayz from fucking across the map.

It fucking blows my mind that there are +600k people playing this right now on ps3. Just goes to show the sad state of FPS on consoles.
There need to be some other 60fps shooters. pronto.

What is the best CoD, in your opinion? I haven't played BO2 for long but it still doesn't click with me (which is a bad sign) so I might try some of the previous ones again.

When you have clean lobbies (no hacking/OMA tubers/Commando knifers) MW2 by far.
The netcode was fucking heavenly. Maps and spawns are great!

Black ops 1 was also pretty good. Very good maps/spawns but netcode was not that great imo it all started with black ops 1 and the theatre mode they implemented.

It's called 'Nuked Out'.
You need to get the Nuclear Medal in FFA. (30 kills without dying with gun only)

I managed to get it on Yemen somehow.

Damn. Thats gonna be hard for me. I think i only managed to do 25 in domination. Cant even get thame Nuclear callsign.

The remington with the laser is absolutely ridiculous. I was dying a lot in close quarter battles with my SMG but now I'm dominating with the remington.
Edit: Also got the long barrel on it

Are you sure you're not confusing it with the 'Nuclear Killer' title? That title is the 30 kills without dying but can be unlocked in any game mode.

The 'Nuked Out' is a different title, that when unlocked appears under the Free-For-All challenges:

Free-For-All: Nuked Out
Earned a Nuclear Medal in FFA without using any Scorestreaks.

Ah, my mistake. FFA it is then! It's going to be tough since the spawns can be ridiculous some times - it feels as if everyone wants to go after you and spawn right next to you as soon as you're on a hot streak.

Getting the gold camos for the S12 and M12 shotguns is such a pain -___-

Hardcore Kill Confirmed makes it bearable, at least.

Also, the next double XP weekend is probably when the first piece of DLC hits.

Play sharpshooter and learn all the FFA spawns. It helps a lot

Agree x 100. I love the core gameplay, but the unlock system is obnoxious, anti-competitive, and restricts experimentation.

Uggghhh I hate the fact that people of your own team can destroy your turrets or kill you and steal your care package, happened quite a lot today...

Got gold camo on my MSMC, 150 kills w/o attachments was peanuts, but without perks was horrible. I still went pretty decent but I can't play without lightweight and dexterity.

Right now I'm using:
MSMC, quickdraw, FMJ
Lightweight, Cold Blooded (perk 1 with greed perk 1)
Dexterity, Engineer (perk 3 with greed perk 3)
(1x) semtex

Pretty badass class, I just run around crazy in hardcore Kill Confirmed, I can reroll the care package so I can get good (better) loot. I managed some quite good k/d's with this.

e: killstreaks are UAV, care package and sentry. Depending on the map/enemies I might switch and use guardian or airstrike.

I'm level 55 with enough game time to have prestiged a couple times. But the problem with this game is that I've used all my unlock tokens. So if I want to try different guns, then I'm going to have to prestige. It's just terrible.

The first Black Ops game had such a better unlock system. I was able to buy with CoD points everything in that game (attachments included!) without ever having to prestige. I could even try a gun for the first time WITH attachments.

Instead, I now just stick to a few guns since I used all my tokens and don't feel like restarting everything else.

I've only gotten gold on one gun so far. The perk/attachment challenges were too annoying so I've stopped on cherry or whatever for every other gun lol

Yeah, I find Prestiging a waste of time and I haven't done it since CoD4, but I absolutely hate the idea of unlock tokens so I decided to go for Master Prestige in this just so I can have everything unlocked.

Limiting unlocks in a CoD sucks because you never know what they're going to nerf and make useless or what good loadout combos people will find later on in the game's lifespan. So you still have to leave a few unused for the future and it really hurts experimentation, which is one of the better things in the franchise.

And now that I'm just slogging though Prestige levels to get to the end, it's really sucking a lot of enjoyment out of the game for me. I feel like I'm not even playing to win matches anymore, I'm just playing to unlock the next set of whatever, which I'll be trading in for a ugly new icon in a few days again anyway.

I've been able to unlock all the guns for the last couple of prestiges. You end up with a lot of tokens if you don't use a lot of scorestreaks

I like changing up my scorestreaks. That's such a huge waste of tokens.

Luckily, I'll never touch a sniper rifle or a LMG so I save up a bit there.

Edit: I'm pretty sure I've already whined about this though. I'm on a crying loop :(

MK48 w/out attachments is the most unusable thing ever. No sights to replace the POS irons. No quickdraw to improve the ADS time. No stock to make strafe aiming easier. And no Laser-sight to improve the horrendous hipfire.

LSAT is a monster though, especially with stock.

True. I just said fuck it and gold those 2. Im still not sure if I can do it again on the remaining lmg.

Unfortunately, correct.

They decided that people weren't going Prestige enough. So rather than make it a compelling option, they decided to withhold content and cattle prod you into doing Prestige. Isn't that great game design?

I just unlocked the SCAR-H, and damn I love this thing. It has intense recoil, but in the same way that the AKs of CoDs gone by had intense recoil. Very predictable, very easy to deal with. I think I'll stick with this for a while.
