Call of Duty console players unlikely to be cheating, they just have an intel advantage say Activision

"Over 60% of received cheater reporting in Warzone have been against console players, for example," Activision explained. "Console cheating is possible, but our data has consistently shown it represents an extremely low population of detected cheaters when compared to PC, which means that this large volume of cheater reports are inaccurate even if the KillCams may have made it seem like the player was cheating."

Current and new recap details in the KillCam widget include:

• List of attackers who dealt damage with their username, weapon, damage, and hits

• Affected by Live Ping: If the enemy had you pinged via line-of-sight

• Affected by UAV: If the enemy had you pinged on the minimap via UAV, UAV Tower, or Advanced UAV

• Affected by Unsuppressed Weapon: When firing your weapon revealed your location on the minimap to nearby enemies

During the upcoming Season, this widget will get more updates to callout even more gameplay elements like equipment, killstreaks, field upgrades, contracts, perks, and more to help players report with greater accuracy and confidence, Activision said.

Stop playing Call of Duty. The Finals now has 5 on 5 team death match, doesn't have skill based match making, and it's a lot of fun right now. It's also free.

did they fix their retarded controller aiming?

I have only played it close to launch, but they uniroincally had aim snapping in there as if you took a time machine back to the early Fortnite days...

I'm not sure exactly what you mean, but the aiming didn't feel like it was snapping onto to targets. I'll also say that in my experience console players only see PC players if they're playing with a friend who is on PC, which is always nice.

No shit.

90% of cheaters are on PC with their mods.

Pretty much all cheating on consoles tend to be glitches, which ultimately is a flaw in the game itself.
Anything else is done by such an insignifcant portion of the console playerbase, it might as well be non-existent.

Straight from the horses mouth. The next time somebody pretends there are fewer cheaters on PC because "they can't get updates out as quick on console" or whatever other bullocks they think up they can come and read this instead.

Why would anyone have to stop playing CoD to play the finals?
Well, I mean, I guess you could play one with your feet and one with your hands, but I'd recommend playing them one at a time.

Serious answer, though: I hate the idea of being put into matches that I'm supposed to lose, all because of an algorithm has determined the best ratio of losses to wins to give me, in order to statistically keep me playing for as long as possible. Thanks to retention based match making, I haven't bought a COD title in years.

The majority of COD sales come from consoles anyway, but yeah there are more cheaters on PC.

Yeah because Activision press releases are the infallible word of God, akin to Moses descending from Mount Sinai with the stone tablets.

But in all seriousness who claims that there's fewer cheaters on PC?

all I know is when I played it at launch your aim automatically snapped onto enemies if you pressed L2/LT, similar to how Fortnite worked 5 years ago or so, and how CoD works in the campaign.

I am playing on controller btw. but I instantly uninstalled the game after I saw that... like, wtf.

Have been playing since release over 12 months ago and never seen anything like this. You have to aim it doesn't snap to the enemy.

yeah, see, this is why I have massive trust issues whenever anyone makes a claim online about any part of any game... because zoom snapping was, and apparently still is verifiably in the game.

after doing a quick google search I found that with patch 1.4.1 they nerfed the zoom snapping a bit and adjusted it on a per weapon basis, with it being removed from snipers and shotguns it seems.

and apparently the zoom snapping was so extreme before that patch, that some players said their characters automatically did a 90° turn sometimes lol which they actually hated as it could disorient you with how extreme it was.

that patch is a year old tho, it's the only mention of zoom snapping that I can find by googling it, which makes me think they haven't touched it since

One of the main reason's why 95% of cheaters are on pc is because it's free to play online.

If they get banned, they can just create a new account for free.

Someone said there are fewer cheaters on PC? Where? As far as I'm aware, the argument is that there are tons of cheaters on consoles too, not that they have more than on PC.

COD cheating on PC is multiple times worse then console. You'd have to be crazy to put cross play on.

No lies told. Pc is cheaters paradise. Another reason why console gaming has it perks.

Well a zen would be popular on consoles but I could always compete without a Zen.

Somebody was pushing the idea by refuting somebody's claim that PC cheaters outnumber any other with the idea that they push out updates and ban PC cheaters faster or something.

Follow this conversation here from a past thread I was in:
Yes there are still cheaters on consoles but it isn't even close to what I've seen on PC.

Yes you can as it much easier and faster to update the anti cheat then update console "detections".

Why? So you think red tape is some issue now? You said you can't detect them. Things may move faster on PC but it moves just as fast for the cheat software creators there too. How long did it take for the PC COD beta cheaters to get wall hacks and headshot aimbots up and running:

I think you're grasping at straws trying to push the idea that it's not worse there.

Also making it seem somewhat similar is a lie too. "Extremely low when compared to PC" suggested it is far more rampant on PC.

Look at my previous post. yes, Activision is the best authority for giving you meaninful data about a game they monitor and run. Who else is?

isn't this because they don't consider things like the chronus zen a "cheat"
100% this and anyone who thinks those devices are not a problem on consoles just have their heads in the sand

Even when Ybarra was still at Xbox they knew at Xbox when people were using these devices yet wanted the devs of each game decide how to handle it

Look at my previous post. yes,

Brother I have to assume English is not a language you have mastered. The cherry-picked quotes from your previous post prove you wrong. They, and you, are talking about how cheating is more rampant on PC.

Your initial post was about how imaginary people claim that there are fewer cheaters on PC.

Ranked modes became playable again when they added console only crossplay. That says it all. Every game was wallhacks and aimbot until then. There's even menus to boot people from the servers even if you do beat them. First MS CoD game and it's the worst for hacking. They should be ashamed.

I'm from the place English was invented so nice try. I take it English isn't your first language if you can't see rodrigolf refuting somebody who said it's more rampant on PC by suggestion that they push anticheat patches out fast on PC.

You are missing the point - which is that most of the time someone thinks someone is cheating they probably aren't.

we all know most cheaters coming from PC. Even the PC gamers knows it, they just denying it.

Pc cheating has gotten so bad in all competitive titles that I will only play those titles on console with crossplay off. My PC has become my solo gaming experience outside MMO's.

Yes probably close to 100% of cheaters are on PC. But if 60% of reports are for console players then that means over half of all reports are wrong. But even if mobile players never get reported that leaves 40% of reports being PC. But half of those will also be wrong. So you are left with a maximum of 20% of reported cheaters being actual cheats. It is likely much lower than that.
So basically if you think someone is cheating you are probably just wrong and they are just better than you at the game.

No, the rodrigolf post you quoted was him disagreeing with your nonsense about detecting XIM devices on PC, (which almost no one would ever use) and is saying that patching a game is easier on PC (which is true)

Um, I don't get it. They gave data that indicated there is more cheating on console. Then they said that have data that suggests it's actually higher on PC "despite kill cams", but they don't share that data.

Maybe their data is accurate, or maybe it's easier to detect PC cheating than a XIM on Playstation. Because the XIM isn't "in the data". Or maybe there is 10x more cheating on PC, but console players are more likely to complain.

Someone said there are fewer cheaters on PC? Where? As far as I'm aware, the argument is that there are tons of cheaters on consoles too, not that they have more than on PC.
Tons is a strong word. I was fed up with no option to turn off crossplay on Xbox, and switched to PS5(also abandoned a sinking ship in xbox)and the difference has been night and day, no comparison.

Its not even the same universe in the amount of cheaters I've encountered. I report players I suspect of cheating often, and would jump on the next day to see 5-10 successful reports.

Every. Damn. Day.

On the PS5, I still report suspected cheaters, but the rate in which I'm doing it, is insanely lower. 90% lower, easily. Don't get me wrong, I've had a bunch of successful reports on PS5, but the amount is drastically lower.

The reason Microsoft won't add a tab to turn off crossplay on Xbox is obvious, as they have invested in the "play anywhere cheat anywhere" philosophy.(they did for competitive but I don't really play that mode)

If all consoles had crossplay off with PC as a default, the PC version would be an unplayable cesspool, and would damage sales on the PC.

Forcing console players to play with PC players is horseshit.

Except this data doesn't bear out your anecdotal evidence. Most people who are perceived as cheaters are on console. The console only experience would 'appear' to players to be more of a cesspool.

da daq? the consoles are using AMD.. bro.

but something weird happened. YT started to recommend call of duty videos. all, ALL of those videos are from content creators shitting all over the games; the current one and warzone.

Is the state of CoD that dire?
