Call of Duty console players unlikely to be cheating, they just have an intel advantage say Activision

You think the kernel is unable to detect unauthorised hardware on a locked down kernel system vs one where the kernel level anticheat is installed but freely modifiable by the user? I'm going to need that drawing bud.
No I don`t think it can't detect when Sony, MS or Nintendo wants but can't detect when Activision wants as they can't have kenel level anti cheat on consoles, and like that Activision can't detect some cheats on consoles.

Those adaptors don't need kernel changes anyway they are acting as just an input device. You think kernel level anticheat detects and blocks unknown third party controllers on a PC?
They can do. EA anti cheat is blocking DS4 Windows here for some of their recent games. Yet it don't block X360ce. 🤷‍♂️

Way above my knowledge of this stuff but like I have said many times before Ybarra always said those at Xbox could see when people used these devices

But I also know they had access to a lot of info that likely was overstepping at times.
The devices they can see, afaik. But that is something on Sony/MS only doing something to detect them on kernel level. But the devices can receive updates to be "hidden" again.

As I said that's not even what kernel level is stopping. It cannot block an adaptor acting as a simple input device from doing what it does. And Activision can do what it wants on console but it doesn't need to monitor software running on the system on a console because you can't run them anyway.

It's gunplay is also trash in comparison to Blops 6.
Yea nah. 1000 hours, over 4000 matches later. Balance issues aside the game is far and above anything else out there right now. People are just too attached to the same garbage they've been fed for the last 15 years.

Bit rich coming from someone stating he spent 1000 hours playing garbage.🤷🏾‍♂️

Explain the amount cheats on X360/PS3/PS4 games then.
Those are vulnerabilities in the software that allow you to modify running code on the host system, ie COD can patch that. It's not a kernel issue. They don't because those old CoDs are not supported anymore.

So cheaters can run cheats on console. Good to be sure. And I never said those are kernel issue/level.

PC has been a nest for cheaters for decades, it's far more common on that platform and ruins nearly every multiplayer game.

This is why I stopped playing Rust. The best shooter survival game I've ever played, but after weeks building a base with friends and co-workers, someone came in and wall glitched and deleted our base. It's one thing to just be raided and defeated, but to watch it happen and be simply unable to do anything about it... Can't justify putting more time into that.

Is this what you're going with now? Who said cheats can't run on a PS3/360 or hacked PS4 or whatever? You were talking about kernel access being the advantage. Now you're not?

Need a draw to understand your own posts???

Well we are obviously talking about current consoles. This would be like me mentioning vulnerabilities in Windows 7 or something. Why are you playing obtuse?
We are obviously talking about any console and any PC, plus "unlikely to be cheating" means that cheating on PS5/XS is probably happening and not even Activision is aware.

Yes because black ops 6 is running on a PS3/360. Man you're being silly. Besides you can have signed firmware/kernels which prevent even those going online anyway if they weren't defunct. Yet you think they are more aware on PC. They're not. This was why you stupidly brought up kernel access by Activision. Now you're not even sure what you're arguing.

Where I said someone being more aware on something on PC???
Then what are you arguing here then?

Yes please, do the drawing. Should be good for a laugh how you're going to try and explain that a closed system helps in remaining undetected with an adapter vs one where you have complete access to the system.

Because on console you can't have a kernel level anticheat like you can on PC. Correct me I am wrong.

Do you suffer from dementia? And still no drawing.

I will draw to you then. EA is easily detecting DS4Windows on some of their games (newest "FIFA", F1 24) and banning it. And it's not even kernel level detection. So yes. On PC devs are right now more aware of cheating those devices/programs than they or MS/Sony are on consoles. Plus the anti cheats banning cheaters in tons means that cheaters are much better detected and banned on PC. Prove me wrong.

What do I need to prove when that's a) software not an adaptor running externally and b) most controllers are blocked on a console too and something like DS4Windows would be completely out of the question on console anyway. You know especially as they want to protect profits by preventing unlicensed third party/DS4 use in PS5 games and all too. The burden of proof is on you to show that they are somehow less aware on a closed system. Waiting for that drawing still.

"Over 60% of received cheater reporting in Warzone have been against console players from PC players Cheating and still losing, but Activision can confirm Console Players are just better even if the KillCams may have made it seem like the player was cheating."
Basically..

Not all PC players are cheaters, but all cheaters are PC players also its not a great experience to play against people who have a 360hz display
with mouse and keyboard and his face is glued to the screen playing like his life depends on it ..

What I took from this:

-Most cheaters are PC players (this was already known)

-Consoles do, in fact, have cheaters (counter to the myth cheaters are only on PC)

-Some players are terrible and don't understand that competent play does not equate to cheating. Those players are simply that much better. This misunderstanding seems to be far more prevalent for console players

So a follow up to this after hanging out with some friends that 100% know

Activision 100% can see these Cronus devices in use

I wont repeat any specifics but a scary % of console player accounts (especially Warzone likely since its FTP) have been flagged at some point for "external non approved hardware"

Activision wanted to take a hard stance on it during MW2 era but decisions were made to not push banning accounts and wont go into why that decision was made

So they are ok with all that cheating. 🤷‍♂️

No recoil + rapid fire + aim assist. Those players are in "heaven".

Highly controversial statement here but I can't wait for cloud gaming to have their own lobbies! Yes there are ways to cheat (sorta) with newer technology but 95% of the current cheaters would be gone. Unless they have server side access which they won't. Also cloud based games can artificially adjust ping etc to ensure level playing field.

Excited for this to happen!

And the other 5% will be able to be dealt with quicker!

Jailbreak.
If we are talking about executable cheats then the consoles you brought up were all jailbroken and people could execute their code.

With the exception of input adapters, there isn't much you can do to cheat with a console that is running official firmware. I think most people do not understand that and believe that one can easily load scripts or whatever kind of code on their consoles and start aimhacking.

Maybe

Can't go into specifics but I bet if Warzone numbers were as high as they used to be they would have cracked down much more on those devices

Plus it seems since CoDs built in aim assist is so strong especially if you know how to abuse rotational AA there was some debate how much "cheating" those devices actually are

Not to mention CoD having a setting in game that turns single shot rifles into semi auto guns by just holding the trigger

Also it sounds like some felt the recoil can be controlled by players anyhow

I have always felt those devices were cheating aids but it seems SOME devs do not feel that way

yeah, I truly feel that CoD is not a game where they have any real impact.
I have seen mouse and keyboard players switching to controller for fun, and instantly being shocked how extreme the aim assist is. and recoil control when 3-4 bullets of nearly any gun kill? and the guns even have a range at which they are fully hitscan, so you don't even have to take bullet travel or drop into account?

there are ARs in Warzone 2 that have an average time to kill (there are tracker sites that track this data) of 800ms in ultra long range (100m) shootouts. it's insane.

for comparison, the fastest TTK with body shots in close range in Apex Legends, after this season's update lowered the TTK across the board, is about 900ms. and that's an SMG that you can't hit anything with the moment your enemy is like 50m away from you due to the recoil and bullet travel, while that AR I mentioned in Warzone has a hitscan range of ~70m.

the skill from shooting in CoD comes down to how fast you can get the enemy into your reticle, and from there it's just hold fire and slightly move the stick down for 800ms.
and that's in Warzone where the time to kill is actually significantly higher than in the normal multiplayer lol.
so aim bots and wall hacks, those are the real game changer in CoD. as those give you an advantage where it actually matters, the time to notice someone and aim at them.

"Console cheating is possible, but our data has consistently shown it represents an extremely low population of detected cheaters when compared to PC"

Straight from the horses mouth. The next time somebody pretends there are fewer cheaters on PC because "they can't get updates out as quick on console" or whatever other bullocks they think up they can come and read this instead.
Anyone trying to make this argument is just a fanboy and should be ignored. It's insane how bad cheating is on PC.

Honestly those devices don't both me as much as the shit I've seen on PC. Seeing through walls and shooting through walls that you're not supposed to be able to shoot through.
