There's something about the G36C that I really, really like but I can't put my finger on it. It claims to have worse stats than the ACR, but for some reason I seem to do better with it.

Not sure if this is true, but the reload animation seems to be very quick. It also seems to have a perfect balance of stopping power and lack of recoil that make it very accurate.

Is there any chance they added a tiny bit of health with the newest update? I swear it's taking an extra bullet or two to take someone down tonight.

I hope this is true.

This game would be awesome with:

- slight health buff (or reduced bullet damage)
- better spawns (especially on Village and Mission)
- new maps that aren't cluttered with random shit, with better lines of sight and positions that can actually be held and defended (eg more like COD4 and MW2 maps)

Probably because it has the least horizontal recoil of any gun other than MP7.

It's my preferred AR, even over the ACR. It has a very good time-to-kill rating due to the high fire rate plus fairly high damage, it has predictable recoil (straight up), and the fastest center speed of any AR by far.

The corner? Sure, you're limiting yourself to only covering two paths most of the time but that could be said of most FPS ever. It's quite preferable if the only good camping spots are at the corner instead of randomly in the middle of maps.

Actually there are ton of good camping spots in the game that aren't corner camping.

Mainly due to the fact the maps are so small & spawns are so bad, you can easily rack up a ton of kills in one exact spot before you are taken down.

does anybody find that the hit detection is crap in this game? I am shooting the heck out of them they turn around and one shot me all the time it makes no since!

Also I am not lagging most of the time when this happens...

Just tried out the Specialist package for the first time. It's actually quite a bit of fun, and the XP bonuses are nice. I managed to get my best streak yet using it! I feel like I can't really live without Quickdraw, so I use Hardline as my first perk reward which then gets me my next one at three, so I think it's the same result in the end.

Getting to 7/8 kills is additionally awesome because you get most of the proficiencies for your weapon — you can definitely feel the difference.

The bullet damage in MW3 is too fucking high, I'm tired of getting dropped in 2 bullets. In MW2 you had a chance to get away as long as your opponent didn't catch you completely off guard but in MW3 whoever spots the other player first and has quickdraw wins. I can't count the number of times I've seen an enemy, run behind cover, and then gotten killed because they got 2 shots off.

Between that, the HORRIBLE lag and shitty spawns I am almost ready to throw in the towel. The only thing that keeps me coming back is the fact that I spent $60 on it. Infinity Ward can kiss my ass if they think they can get away with this shit and then charge $15 for map packs. Don't even get me started on Elite...

HOLY SHIT AWESOME!

Dam the range on those FMG9's with Steady aim is amazing! 1 Kill to Assassin Pro, 3 to SoH, 5 to Blast shield! This is some Anti-Camper run and gun awesomesauce.

I love how absolutely not a single person uses the M16 lol, because the type 95 is clearly better.

I actually use it for that exact reason. I feel too hypocritical using the Type 95 because I think it's too overpowered with rapid fire.

But then again I only use the M16 in certain situations.

I've been struggling with MW3, and since I switched to specialist package, and somehow, it's giving positive effect to my game. I'm still far from my games with MW2 or even Blops. However, this 1-3-5-7 chain with Hardline Pro helps me focus on gun games achieving more kills without relying on air supports or calling UAVs and stuffs.

Only negative is that once I reach the max, somehow, I get very excited and make stupid moves losing all the focus. :(

Eh, the way around "overpowered" guns is to play HC modes. Removes the margins.

Either way, I don't think the Type 95 is any worse than the M16 was in MW. A high powered burst gun, far more deadly than the other ARs. Sure as hell is nothing like that damned shotgun in MW2.

That solution also ups the camping and heartbeat-whoring frequency by 800%. Fuck that.

How does an unbalanced gun in another game make a gun in this game balanced?

You really call that a solution? By adding tons of new issues? I've played Hardcore since it was retroactively implemented in Call of Duty 4 but now with the release of MW3 I've been forced back into Softcore. The pacing, the map layout and everything makes it a downright frustrating and anger inducing experience.

They need to tone the fucking weapons down, not scare people off into now broken modes.

It's as balanced as the M16 was. You get burst, which means that it's not for players who need to spray about to hit the target. The rapid fire makes it a bit different, but then that takes up a proficiency slot.

And I haven't experienced much camping at all in this game, regardless of game mode, and the maps are too tight and fast for the heartbeat stuff to work like it did in MW. Maybe it's a platform difference.

Been playing HC Kill Confirmed to balance the camping out a bit. There's definitely a decided pacing difference that's closer to regular, and I'm liking the extra opps at additional XP (still only 40-something) - as well as just something slightly different to do that isn't a more objective-based game type.

What's with all these asshats jumping when they come around corners now?

I've seen that happen on any COD game I've ever played. HALO JUMP HALO HUMP!!!! haha

I've admittedly started doing so as well now, occasionally. Ya gotta do something to try and fight the lag. So sick of coming around a corner cautiously and there someone comes whipping around another corner shooting me as if they know I'm there (they do, they saw me a second before I saw them due to lag) and bam, I'm dead.

I'm not sure if its any worse than other games or I'm just getting sick of it. I mean, my K/D is about the same as any other COD game I've ever played and I've played them all probably too much.

Concerning maps: I feel about the same as any other COD. I love some, I like some, I hate some, some are just there. Same for guns being "overpowered" and any of these other complaints really. Its the same shit as any other COD. You think so and so gun or perk is overpowered? Then use it! If you use it and are still getting your ass kicked, maybe youre just not as good at the game as you think you are or should be.

As far as K/D goes, it's just too arbitrary of a number to really determine anything worthwhile. I've seen plenty of people with high KDs and most of them usually resort to using cheap tactics that arent really in the spirit of the game. If it makes them feel better to do such things, good for them.

Call of Duty's support section on their web site says everyone that is doing the clan tag exploit to put the button prompts in it will be getting a 72-hour MW3 matchmaking suspension AND their ranks will be reverted to what they were when they originally put them in the clan tag. They encourage everyone to report anyone doing this via the in-game reporting menu and selecting "Exploiting".

Going to be some bitter tears soon...

These patches are fucking annoying. If you are going to put it out on a rolling basis at least make everyone in your party get it.

It happened twice tonight where a player was booted from our party mid game so that the patch could download and install. After that finished they could no longer play with us because the rest of us still didn't get the patch pushed to us. Retarded...

Oh god please let it be true. Me and my swag-boys have been pressing that Exploiting-option for everyone with those clan tags since they started to appear. :)

Amen to that brother. The terrible respawn system, the plethora of objects for people to camp behind and snag against as you try getting out of the way, the low kick perk for pinpoint accuracy from far distances with little skill in handling the gun, and high bullet damage makes the gun play stale and static. I have moved onto Kill Confirmed. There seems to be less campers in it from all the games I've played, though there can be rough games in it like TDM. It seems most people in TDM like to play defensively more than any other CoD game in the series, and at least in the other CoD games you could sneak up to those campers for the most part and kill them. Over here you're constantly worrying whether or not someone's going to respawn behind you before you get to them.

Kick is overrated. It does very little to improve your gun, as the recoil reduction is minimal. There are better proficiencies to use than that for most weapons. If anything, the issue is with the game itself having low recoil overall.

Kick isn't really for visual recoil, it's for bullet spread, and it makes a notable difference for certain weapon types (SMGs being one of them).

But agreed that it doesn't really make long-range encounters super easy like the post you responded to claims.

Bullet spread, as in firing from the hip? If so, there are some videos floating around showing that assault rifles do get a benefit in that regard from the kick proficiency, but SMGs not so much.

I guess it's good that they got the patch out before Thanksgiving like they wanted to. Fourzerotwo said on Twitter that they'd release changelog info after Thanksgiving (I don't know why they're waiting), but he was saying that this patch would fix some of the connection issues. I guess we'll see.

By the way, do you have a link to that?

I'm mainly looking for the forum with the better updates about these people with glitched tags.

The Activision site seems a bit rubbish and the CoD one takes you to the Activision one.
