Usually takes only one to three days to get to me once they've shipped it out. About the same as FS/BB.

It'll only be different for you if you live out west, I think, as FS/BB have warehouses in the GVA and GTA, but EB I believe is only in the GTA.

You have no idea how hostile it is over there. People were ripping on people and mods were no where to be seen.

So many people wanted to exploit this to flip the game in, its disgusting.

I've left a thread under site comments/suggestions over there complaining about hostility. Its the second time its been brought up, first by 1dvdswapper of CAG, I'm bringing it up again since the admin claimed he would have some sort of modding but I never saw any progress. If it keeps up, I'm out.


Only reason I still post there as its still the most popular place to get Canadian deals on games.

Yeah, there's a big thread on RFD about this. Makes for a hilarious read. Someone apparently emailed all the major chains (Walmart, TRU, BB, etc.) and told them that people were planning to price match the price error. As you can imagine, everyone has been cussing the guy out and sending death threats to him for tipping off retailers haha.

I'll admit, I would have been tempted to price match for one but this is hilarious and I don't blame the person for doing it at all. RFD would have abused the shit out of this deal with people grabbing multiple copies.

I really wonder how much longer Future Shop will have their trade-in deals. I know games are considered loss leaders, but I highly doubt anyone taking advantage of the deals is actually buying anything else.

Why are games considered loss leaders, though? They should be making $30 on every new game sold. Instead, we get fantastic trade-in deals and promotions like $20 for Halo 4 where they are clearly losing money.

Don't get me wrong - I love it! I just don't see the financial motivation behind doing so.

The Halo thing was a genuine price error though. I wonder of the tsilon people got in trouble for that.

But the other stuff is just weird. The margin on used games is better, but I don't see how the math works out for these things sometimes. Even if you forget the fact that people are buying 20 dollar games from them, taking off the shrink wrap and then using that exact same game to get a 40 dollar game, it still doesn't make any sense. lol

Maybe they're trying to get the EB model, where people keep trading in newer games to keep a backlog going, but I don't see that happening to any real extent yet. It probably doesn't help that their used games are - for the most part - awfully priced.

Yep, living in west Toronto is great for shipping times too. And ever since I sent a stern e-mail to Amazon and UPS about their terrible delivery guy in the area (rarely attempting a delivery, giving me attitude especially if I go to meet him in the lobby since I know he won't come up) I can even stomach ordering from Amazon again.

I remember around when MW2 came out, Major Nelson said that they could detect if you were playing a pirated version of the game. Turns out that is bullshit.

Just in case anyone wanted to know. Bell released the galaxy note 2 on the 30th just like everyone else did although stock seems to be limited in certain places.

Bell will also carry the Sony xperia t (aka the James bond phone) , retail price is 550 so day one it will cost maximum 100 would be my guess. The 13 megapixels look dope though. Probably still gonna go for the note 2 if I can get it for cheap, but I got some decisions to make.
