Will QA for food.
Does anyone know where to get 3DS XL screen protectors? Checked bestbuy, futureshop and amazon and they are all out.

Amazon should have some Hori brand ones in, EBgames / Gamestop will have some in although I don't know about the brands they carry. If you're in Toronto, Game Centre (Yonge and Charles) always has some Hori in.

Vancouver GAF, can I get some opinions on the best cell phone carrier to go with in Vancouver?

I'm moving in a couple days, need a new phone, and this decision is driving me nuts

Anyone know of any shops selling PS2's in GTA? New preferred.

Hmm, I'm not sure who has any; none of the online stores seem to carry them anymore. I lucked out while looking for a PS2 Slim at my local EB Games (used). If you really want a new one, I'd see if any Toys R Us stores have them (Yonge & Eglinton, or Dufferin Mall?); I've often found they have stuff like that when no one else does.

Otherwise, if you can deal with a used system, I'd try Game Centre (they have three locations now; if you're on Facebook, search for them there; they have all their info there) or A&C Games (acgamesonline.com).

Thanks for the info. I tried the big box stores but no luck. Amazon.ca doesn't have any either but .com does. I'd like new so used isn't an option. Thanks.

I was just about to come in and post RE6/NHL 13 deals! (They expire on Jan 3rd for the curious)

I'd just like to mention that I updated my usual round-up post for GameDealsCanada.

Personal highlight: Forza Horizon: Limited Edition for $29.99 ($50 off) @ Amazon.ca. It ships in 2 - 4 weeks though, so hopefully patience is rewarded.

A bit of wind here today but clear skies. Also, saw this on my facebook couldn't resist to share:
They have all kinds of problems with our bendy-busses in Ottawa when there's a snow storm too... couldn't help but notice the distinct lack of them on the streets on Thursday and Friday (my bus to work is usually a bendy-bus but they replaced it with a double-decker)... These things just aren't made for Canadian winters.

RE6 is only $20? lol! I might have to bite. Series has made me happy enough in the past. Is its version of Mercs at least the best it's been?

Also, fellow Canucks; where's the best deal to be had on SMGalaxy 2? New/used

I missed the $100 sale for PS3 3D Display that Futureshop and Best Buy had until 27th. I mean, I didn't miss it, but it was sold out on 26th when I was looking for it.

Now, both their sites list this as $130, but it doesn't seem like they got a new shipment. I wonder if this is going to be a permanent price or if it will go back to $200 on Monday? I can't believe how cheap this was, I was going to use it as a PC monitor as well as secondary PS3 display :(

Does Best Buy price adjust on items that went on sale on boxing day? A friend of mine bought a Logitech racing wheel for her brother and was wondering if they adjust. I don't think they do but thought I'd ask here since no one is picking up the phone at her local Best Buy

Ah wow, I bought NHL13 for PS3 about 2 weeks ago for 49.99 from BestBuy :( And now I'm on the other side of the island and won't get to go back until the 4th. I'm assuming there is no way for me to get anything back is there?

buy it again now, then return it later with your previous receipt. 2 weeks ago to the 4th is still within the 30 day refund window

RE6 and NHL 13 are both $19.99 @ BB/FS

Welp, that's what I was waiting for. Either PC version or bomba price.

I've got so many console games in my immediate future that I'm gonna go grab a TV in the next few days. My monitor just exposes their ugliness so badly, Halo 4 was almost unbearable. I got Lollipop Chainsaw on sale, RE6 is in the mail now too, plus Anarchy Reigns and Metal Gear Rising preordered. Hopefully I can still find a decent cheap 32" for my room, I hadn't quite decided to go for it until today but Boxing Day is nonexistent in Sudbury anyways.

Remember, the Lowest Price Guarantee does not apply to Boxing Day sale prices (Dec 26 & 27) or Boxing Week Limited Quantity Flyer Prices.

Mobilicity and Wind aren't bad coverage-wise though you may lose reception in certain buildings. Basically you get what you pay for.

Walmart had a decent Samsung for $300 this past week. I think it's still on sale.

Bell or telus by far.

Reasons? I don't recall seeing great plans from either of them

I'd definitely go with them without a second thought if not for the reception thing. It would not be good if one of those certain buildings just happened to be where I live lol

That's not a very good deal for a 720p TV. You could get 1080p 32" TVs for less than that not long ago. A 1080p TV is much more suited for PC usage as well, so if you plan on using it for PC gaming, try to find one.

I'm quite happy with my PC monitor, this is just something to play console games on in my bedroom. I haven't bought a TV since 1996 so I'm not exactly an expert here. I did find it odd that nobody seemed to have 32" 1080p TVs, although it's not like you need that for most (current gen) console games.

1080p 32" TVs were around for quite a while, but they started phasing them out over the past year or two. You can still find them in the occasional place. I've seen some at Costco.

If you want to up your budget a bit you can probably pick up a 42" 1080p TV for about $400.

I picked up a 40" LED TV Toshiba from Best Buy and my god are the blurs awful. I thought the gaming mode would fix that up but it made little to no difference. Probably should have done more research

Guys, I am finding sickening deals at Best Buy. There are a ton of deals of games. Rage, Max Payne 3, Dishonoured, all 19.99. Paper Mario 3DS and DKCR were 29.99, and I was disgusted and shocked to find NSMBWii for 59.99.

Sounds like you already know the reason why. Plans are what they are, no company has an amazing be all end all plans telus and bell have better coverage, call quality and data speeds than any other provider. Subsequently, their subsidiaries have good unlimited plans if you are so inclined.

Here is Wind's return/exchange policy:

We understand things don’t always go the way you expected. If you find you and your new WIND product(s) aren’t a perfect match within 14 days after you purchase the device, head back to the WIND location you purchased it from for a refund or exchange. So long as you’ve used less than 30 minutes of airtime, and the products are in “like new” condition, we’ll work it out.

There are a few items we aren't able to accept for refunds, unfortunately, such as SIM cards.

For items that are eligible for return, just make sure you have all your original packaging and your purchase receipt (if you ordered online, you’ll need your shipping confirmation email), and keep in mind that we will allow you to do this only once for each of your WIND phone numbers. If you want to check out the legalese version of our return policy, see it here.

So you could just get the cheapest pay your way phone they have and test it and return it, then port over and get the phone you want if the reception is acceptable.

This.

Wind has unlimited local talk/text/data for $29 a month (offer expires Dec 31, so you might have to hurry if you want in on that one). You can get a Galaxy Nexus for $200 upfront + $180 debt on the Windtab (which slowly pays itself down, and resets to zero after three years, and basically acts like a 3-year contract).

Just carry the phone around and look at the signal strength meter. If the signal strength is satisfactory to you, then you have a really nice phone and plan at an unbeatable price.

If the signal strength is not good enough, dump Wind and go with Bell or Telus. You can get a Galaxy S3 or an iPhone for free (with a contract) and pay a lot more per-month to have the best quality.

Oh yeah and, I heard the other day that Wind isn't good if you like to talk while you drive, because anytime you pass through a weak spot in their coverage, your phone call can drop. Of course, I never talk while I drive (not even with a headset), so I never realized this until someone told me.

My dad wanted a 32 for the kitchen, no wonder why I didnt see many deals on them.

Kinda OT, with the steam sale I've gone over my bandwidth cap from cogeco and I'm looking at switching to teksavvy. Can I just buy a modem from Canada Computers to set it up myself with them by calling in or do they have to send someone out to the house?

They still need to send someone to your house no matter what. You can get out of buying a modem from them assuming the modem you already have/plan on buying is on the approved modems list on their site for the speed tier you want.
