I agree with the comments about a standalone Switch preorder thread, but as mentioned, it seems like we're past the point where that's helpful now.

For those who are planning to get one this weekend, if anyone's Shoppers does have Switch inventory on Saturday, clearly that's the best place to buy if you're spending real money on the system, thanks to the Optimum offer.

$400 console=~80,000 points, which is worth about $136. That covers a game or extra JoyCons, with a little left over. Pretty sweet deal. Of course, it's also kind of a prayer.

(Also, since I posted, an edit for shipping age. Doesn't look like my Nintendo case will arrive until next week, according to Amazon. WTG, AMAZON! Then again, it does say it's being shipped today, so maaaaybe.)

I cancelled my Amazon preorder a few days ago because whatever I don't really care, but I wonder if best buy will have reserve in store turned on for switches, I mean if I can get one on my walk home I might grab it (thank God for 3 pay cheque months).

When you order from various retailers to ensure you get a system. Then decide to cancel all orders. But apparently forgot you had ever ordered from a certain retailer. This...this happens.

I'm relatively new to Canada Shipping GAF as I've typically just bought everything in store to get around all these annoyances, but I do have a Switch pre-ordered with Best Buy. If one's credit card isn't charged today does that typically mean it's not going to arrive the day after?

My shipping info says "Delivered as early as March 03."

People who have gotten shipping notifications from Best Buy: which SKU did you get? So far I've only seen people with the grey console getting shipment notifications.

If you don't get charge today, you won't likely get your order tomorrow. In my case, it's usually get a charge the day before and I will get an email before 12 midnight that the product was shipped.

To be honest, it will most likely end up in the sealed guide/artbook pile that I'll never bother opening but I still want it day 1 with the rest...

They're advertising the Switch in their flyer so they may have stock this weekend.

Isnt 80k points worth a lot more than $136? I know 95k points gets you $170.

My copy of nier automata just shipped yesterday and showed up today. And I never get 1 day shipping from amazon prime. I actually wouldn't have minded if it was slower because I barely put any time into Horizon.

When preorders went live was there any sort of general experience that the neon SKUs went way faster? That'd be an indication of less stock I guess? But I can't imagine they'd short pre-orders. I picked up at neon SKU yesterday on a cancelled pre-order so it seems like the number of consoles in the "available pool" is pretty set in stone.
