lol saw this on Twitter
So in a nutshell this CPC candidate is trying to get re-elected by saying that they will protect you from the very issues the CPC is trying to do
LMAO
I refuse to believe that's real. Too stupid. Gotta be fake.
"Palecek told CBC News he was "dumbstruck" to see the ad ahead of an all-candidates meeting on cuts to the postal service, a town hall he said Gallant did not attend.
He said the union has tried to reach Gallant, but her office has not returned their calls.
The union is also considering taking legal action to stop "the deceptive" use of its logo."
Okay apparently that infographic with the families is from WSJ, in 2013, and not CPC in 2015...

Well to be fair, they are Sun News

Vancouver Sun isn't part of the Sun Media chain.
Though it's still Postmedia, so it's only slightly less Conservative.
As others have pointed out, this was a Republican ad. The Conservatives may be delusional, but they're not that delusional.
Liberals getting just shy of a majority and propping themselves up with a coalition with the 3-5 Green seats would blow everyone's mind.

Caroline Battista, senior tax analyst at H&R Block Canada Inc., said someone earning $300,000 would pay $3,330 more in taxes; at $500,000, the extra tax would amount to $11,330.

If you're going to buy out the entire front page of a newspaper, at least make use of the space. From their site:
so I'm an American, are the liberals going to hold the lead and win?
What does this mean for policy for Canada for the next (four years?)

It looks like the Liberals are going to win a minority at this point (which would be much more stable than the last Liberal minority, since the NDP is going to have enough seats to serve as a sole negotiating partner on matters of confidence, which it couldn't in 2004-2006).so I'm an American, are the liberals going to hold the lead and win?

As far as policy goes, the biggest shift is going to be on social policy, much moreso than economics, I suspect. Marijuana legalization is going to be happening very quickly, which you'll probably be hearing a lot about in the USA.
Unless the seat totals of the two parties are really close, not a formal coalition. More like the Liberals are in government and negotiate policy agreements with the NDP on important legislation.Oh, so it's like other parliament elections around the world where other parties team up to consolidate seats to form a "majority" over a single other group?

Yes. But the second you bring up the word coalition, the cons turn into the biggest crybabies on the planet despite the fact a good majority of Canadians would prefer their vote to have meant something.

A return to facts, science, common sense, and sanity.

the NDP attacking the Libs was a terrible idea
these two parties need to be friends as much as Gutter would protest to it
And pot
nonsense, while the Bloc is left of center on socio-economic issues, the Bloc wants more money to the Province babldibla.because the CPC is a outlier in a House of Commons filled with left parties
the Bloc is extreme left so even they hate the cons
nonsense, while the Bloc is left of center on socio-economic issues, the Bloc wants more money to the Province babldibla.
but the Bloc is Far Right on identity issues and ubber nationalism. The Bloc has veered further to the Right on identity since 2013
+ the Bloc changes it's positions to accommodate the flavor of the month in the PQ provincial party
The nature of FPTP means that it's never going to be in the interests of one of the two parties to admit to being willing to form a coalition during the election, because that just weakens their case for why voters should vote for them specifically.Muclair claims he proposed coalition to Trudeau five times, so it's not like he didn't try
We should befriend the Nordic countries and get closer to their education system
I see
donèt overly care for the bloc so I was mistaken
Fucking wow Vancouver Sun.
They're usually scummy with the real estate and sponsored articles but this crosses yet another pathetic line.
and this guy right

Leader of the PQ pulling the strings on the current Bloc campaign is a Union-busting Right Winger and an ubber identity nut job
+
before entering politics, he had dinner with Harper several times trying to lax CRTC regulations
what , what is that yous say? PKP's company has former Prime Ministers Brian Mulroney has head of the board of his media empire?
Seperatists in colusion with Conservatives??? lolololol you guys. The Conservatives have been in cohoots with Seperatits since Diefendbaker

that would be awesome
The same as is on front page of 24 in Toronto (Toronto Suns free paper)
All Post newspapers (Regina Leader-Post, Saskatoon Star Phoenix, etc) have the same Conservative add on the front, and all have endorsed the Conservatives as well.
Big oil. Big media. And now, a big endorsement.
Needlessly, Harper is now likely to follow the route of greater statesmen who didnt know when to leave: Winston Churchill, Konrad Adenauer, Charles de Gaulle, Margaret Thatcher, Helmut Kohl. He was a good prime minister, but it is time to see him off. Trudeau, with a minority, will grow or go. I believe the former, but he has earned his chance. We really cannot have another four years of government by a sadistic Victorian schoolmaster.
the worst part of those ads is that they are borrowing Election Canada's black on yellow colours on their signs about VOTE
