Did anyone notice when Mansbridge was talking to that lady and said "There will be no MPs from the opposition in Atlantic Canada" all dramatically. The woman replied and said "The senators" and started snickering. "Mike Duffy" *more snickers*

LMAO

Yep. That moment was amazing :)

Excited/anxious to see Ontario. The polls were saying 45% were planning on voting Liberal, and if they outperform that, then... oh god.
Yeah, I feel like the Liberals are going to make some gains. Especially if some last minute voters decide to go Liberal based on these results.

I really really really hope the NDP can take half the seats in Quebec and the CPC hold something in Ontario. Really don't want a Liberal majority.

If, by some miracle, the Cons manage to win at the end of the night, Stevie will severely punish the Atlantic by slashing EI by 50%.

That's all you could come up with when presented with facts?

That Atlantic Canada has faced its share of hardship was never in dispute. What was in dispute was whether or not we can translate that into shit-talking hard-working Atlantic Canadians by calling them a dressed up version of welfare bums. Harper did. So did you. It's especially hilarious considering that a few short years later Newfoundland became a net contributor to equalization around the same time Ontario became a net recipient. I didn't feel the need to hash this out because I think the burden of proof is on the asshole to justify them throwing people under the bus.

I believe we're all in this together, and shitting on Atlantic Canada is dehumanizing and a total misunderstanding of the challenges the region faces. It's naked "pull yourself up by your bootstraps". It's the very worst of Reform-Alliance-Republican thinking, it's massively incompatible with a sense of shared Canadianness, and it was recognized at the time as both wrong and disgusting by everyone else.

For the record, I won't be tax resident for long so the tax increase will not affect me one bit.

Cool. Hope you find happiness in life.

I'm going to call a Liberal majority.

I think pollsters are really under-estimating support for non-Conservative parties. The Conservative's usual base of voters isn't going to be very motivated tomorrow, Trudeau has a lot of momentum and will sway undecided voters + get a lot of new people to vote Liberal for change. It's going to be a few points higher than their averages, into the high end of their margin of error or higher.

I might be wrong but I wanted to write this down so I can quote myself tomorrow evening.

My prediction is looking pretty good so far. :)

That con region is so close that it rounds to the same percentage at the moment. So anyone who thinks their one vote doesn't count....

Now the lead is up by 28 - but it's still not 100% - libs could still take it back, 15 minutes ago they were down 150 votes in that riding. Still, it could go either way it's SUPER close

Kind of sad to see my NDP rep Robert Chisholm get voted out in my riding because he was a genuine person and was very active in social media.

But at the end of the day, it's not Conservative.

After QB and ON we can get a picture
Dude, come on. LIBs were not expected to take 31 or even 32 out of 32 in Atlantic Canada. They have a stronghold in Quebec and while the PCs may see some seats in Ontario, I am calling this thing, the question is really if it will be a majority or a minority which will be decided in Ontario.
