This Chantelle person on cbc seems angry.

Also that Rex guy seems crazy.
Chantal Hebert is always like that. She's just serious because she's Quebecois. lol

That's over-dramatic, I think.

If things going really bad for them in Quebec, then maybe we can start wondering if they're in trouble. But people were writing off the Liberals right around this time in 2011.
Maybe I'm being overly emotional, but Layton was basically my Obama. 2011 was a high point for me and I thought Canada would change. 4 years later, I realize I would have been better off hoping I could ride a unicorn into Rivendale.

The results for the Liberal incumbents in Atlantic Canada are fucking insane. Like 15-20,000 votes against opponents with 3-5000.

Took me an hour but I was finally able to vote. No one in line but I had a complicated residency but it all got sorted in the end. Really disappointing seeing the NDP taking a beating now. After the BC ndp dropping the ball and now this, I am feeling pretty dejected. If Harper is out I wouldnt be as mad but I am still kind of pissed.
I know the feeling. These are sad times but at least Harper's on his way out. :)
I'm going to watch Harper's concession speech. Waiting to see that smug sucker's grin wiped off his face :)
When is this?
He's barely containing his excitement about the red wave.

Again, not complaining, but it is very obvious. And I have no idea how anyone can construe the CBC as ever having a conservative bias.
I didn't really appreciate them keeping the niqab issue alive by constantly talking about it for several weeks. I just figured they were trying to be "balanced" even though it was clearly an incredibly stupid issue.

Did he actually say that? Wtf

Andrew Thomson (NDP candidate in Eglinton-Lawrence) said this morning the NDP would work with any party, including the Conservatives, to make Parliament work.

He later clarified that he meant the NDP would accept the Conservatives' support in an NDP-led minority, but I don't think anyone bought it.

As someone who got high on Obama I know the feels man.

That's really unfortunate because there were a lot of preventable stuff.
I still want the left to merge. It's the only way the NDP can salvage anything from this fucking disaster.

I don't care if the NDP name has to die for it to happen, because I think I'm done. :(

Yeah the split vote in first past the post system is terrible.

They wouldn't. Marijuana would bring in revenue for the government. See Colorado and Washington State

Perhaps but inefficiency of our government will ensure that it'll take decades to recoup the initial spending. No way it'll be a cheap endeavor.

Shit. Why couldn't the other half be NDP?

Well, I think the other half is mostly Liberal with 2? NDP seats. My riding could be NDP but with the Liberal's rising popularity, I'm expecting a vote split to lead to the only CPC riding in the city. My dad's riding is a solid NDP with that dick MP Pat Martin. NDP doesn't have much to look forward to in Manitoba. :(

Is it time for me to come back to the coverage from the Jays game?

Half an hour!

She will be vary happy. She's always loved the Liberals. Is she still part of the Trudeau foundation?

What? She's always been pretty impartial. I couldn't stand listening to her a few years ago when she was talking doom and gloom about the Dion Liberals, so I know for a fact she doesn't support one party or another.

Same here. Even though I've traditionally been conservative, I want to see Harper gone. On the other hand, I don't want my government wasting a single cent on anything related to marijuana. Ever.

That's good. Liberal government won't waste money on it, they will make money!

has this kinda uniformity ever happened in Atlantic Canada before?
No. The Liberals won 31 of 32 in 1993 (Elsie Wayne in Saint John for the PCs being the only exception), but that was because of vote-splitting between the PCs and Reform Party. Here the Liberals are just winning outright.
