The OSU student who had the "Baylor's Defense Has More Holes to Fill than Lisa Ann" went to the AVN Awards with... Lisa Ann.

Fuck Boone Pickens, this man needs a statue on campus ASAP.

About FSU's Coker:

It's Happening.gif

Though, I'd still rather Cornwell or Bateman win the job. Younger talent, chose to come to Alabama originally rather than through a loophole. Maybe Coker will light it up and be a 1 and done player, giving those other 2 (or Ricky Town if he does sign up) a chance for 2-3 year starting roles.

Also, not a Southern School. Whew.

It's a good opportunity for Coker. He played pretty well in those second halves where Winston wasn't necessary, until he got injured. I think if he wasn't the favorite to be the starter at Alabama, there would be no point in going. He can ride the bench in Tallahassee just as easily.

New best idea for PAT:

You kickoff from where you make the PAT, PAT from the 5, kickoff from the 5. PAT from 50 kickoff from the 50.

- Art Kaufman will be the new defensive coordinator at Cal
Former Cincinnati defensive coordinator Art Kaufman will be the defensive coordinator at Cal, sources told FootballScoop on Wednesday.

A longtime Tommy Tuberville lieutenant, Kaufman served as his defensive coordinator at Ole Miss from 1995-98 (and then stayed on in 1999 and 2000 under David Cutcliffe) and then again at Texas Tech in 2012 and at Cincinnati in 2013.
Should I be happy about this?

South Alabama (and former Bama staffer?) Kevin Sherrer is joining UGA in some capacity. Guessing as a defensive position coach, still catching up on my feed. Will update. So that's 3 Stallings era guys on Richt's staff now. Some are thinking they've been waiting to see what FSU was going to do to see if they cut Sunseri and co loose and then they'd pick them up.

ACC football schedule revealed

Clemson has two of their first 3 @ Georgia and @ Florida State. Rough. Of course, Florida State has two of their first 3 vs. Oklahoma State in Dallas and then home with Clemson. In theory, Duke is taking it easy for a few weeks.

Weird that pseudo-member Notre Dame isn't included under its own category.

I like the job he did at Tech in 2012 and wouldn't have minded at all if we had retained him through the coaching change.
Thanks for the response. Sounds like he's bounced around a bit, but he has a reputation for fixing things quickly which is what Cal needs.

ND plays 3 teams on the Atlantic side, one on the Coastal. SHENANIGANS!

Scandal!

They're supposed to play 5 games per year, but it appears the first two seasons are 4 and 6.

The University of Notre Dame today announced its football schedules for 2014, 2015 and 2016 - the first three years of its new football relationship with the Atlantic Coast Conference.

Those three seasons are the initial ones in which the Irish play five games per year against ACC opponents, with Notre Dame also in 2014 beginning its affiliation in the ACC postseason bowl alignment.

A slight variation in the first two seasons will have Notre Dame playing four ACC foes in 2014, then six in 2015.

I guess they couldn't clear their Michigan non-rivalry fast enough (they play in 2014).

Coker's released from his Scholarship, meaning he's free to take recruiting visits.

Set to Graduate in May, giving him 2 full years to play, and allowing for immediate transfer. The 2 years is a necessity, because the SEC closed the 1 year to play loophole after Ole Miss and Masoli. They never closed the "more than 1 year" part. Yet.

While I'd rather have a 3-4 year QB, the good news is that regardless of who ends up getting the job we should be pretty well set at QB.

How many commits is Vandy down to ?

Really seems like they've lost at least half of what they had the weekend before JF left. Currently unranked (meaning outside the top 50) in recruiting classes for this year, after being inside the top 25 for the 1st time ever.

Sounds right. He gave a shoutout to Vandy before committing.

That's four 4* QBs that will be on the roster next season, unless one transfers after spring ball (likely).

You talk a good game but I know you're jealous of Tech only having one scholarship QB this spring.

You might get one of ours, who knows :p

Only if one of those 4 stars has graduated and can play immediately. ; )

We already know of 3 new walkon QBs for the upcoming season (2 of which were Spring enrollees), so at least we'll have enough arms out there to run skeleton drills and the scout team without needing the coaches to come into the drills and throw passes, but nobody knows if the coaches are looking to add a QB for the 2014 recruiting class or not. I'm sure they're looking but pickings are slim at this point and they're not going to give a guy a full ride that they're not convinced can play at some point.

I personally don't think they'll look too hard at transfers since getting a guy that has to sit out a season doesn't help us at all with the problem of only having one scholarship QB that's been on campus for more than 3 months heading into fall camp. Plus, our incumbent starter is a true sophomore so somebody transferring for playing time may find our general depth chart/competition enticing but won't like that the main guy has 3 seasons left.

Right now I would probably lean towards us going the risky route and leaning on the walkons without signing anybody new. Last season showed that the staff is clearly not afraid of playing and/or starting anybody they think can play, walkon or not, so especially with two of the new guys going through Spring and they may be willing to roll the dice and maybe save signing two QBs for the 2015 class.

@Miami looks like the only real big stumbling block for Duke, maybe VT. I have no idea what they're returning or how good they should be next season, but I'd love to see Duke go 12-0.

I got grudge sucked!
UNC @ Duke for Thursday night? Rad....unless we suck next season and the Wade is full of UNC fans. Its actually quite possible that it could decide the Coastal division

EDIT: Also the spring game is slated for March 1st for reasons I have no clue. Before, when Duke was really shitty, they would schedule it early because nobody would show up. This year could be a decent turn out, but not when its like 47 degrees and raining.

Just clarifying. Absolutely serious re: Browns meeting w Schiano today

http://espn.go.com/college-football...defensive-coordinator-florida-state-seminoles

Florida State has promoted linebackers coach Charles Kelly to defensive coordinator, replacing Jeremy Pruitt, who was hired last week by Georgia for the same position, a source said Wednesday.

Defensive line coach Sal Sunseri has been promoted to associate head coach, the source confirmed.

Kelly, a former assistant at Georgia Tech, joined coach Jimbo Fisher's staff one year ago to coach the linebackers and serve as special teams coordinator after seven seasons with the Yellow Jackets. He previously served as a DC for Nicholls State, Henderson State and Jacksonville State in his 24-year career.

Man, that Georgia Tech schedule is pathetic. If Paul Johnson doesn't go at least 9-3 in that, even 10-2, then I don't even know.

I saw that, guess we'll be going in a different direction for our remaining defensive coaching spots. Anybody else from Hoover High available? :jnc
