So these people are surprised that being successful in the entertainment industry has a lot to do with connections I guess.
It's just strange that there is a focus on this specific actress about it, while a ton of similar cases don't get that attention.
Clearly you havent seen many chinese actresses, or you just have different ideals from an asian.
This kind of thing happens here in the West ALL THE TIME. I'm not sure why this is a story at all.
I heard the same thing about a young actress who came from nowhere, supposedly with all this heat, and then it turned out she's none other than Bono's daughter!
There have been numerous stories over the years of actors and actresses getting their big brake because they were escorts working in Hollywood and were "spotted" that way.

She isn't the best looking Asian Actresses I have seen, for sure and I believe you that she has connection, but she is attractive enough to be casted in big blockbusters

Seemed like Claudia Kim was getting that breakthrough with a role in Age of Ultron immediately followed by being one of the best parts of Marco Polo.
however Marco Polo was cancelled and only thing coming up seems like a small part in The Dark Tower.

She has connection bigger than most actors have is what the rumor suggests. And I certainly don't think she is single out since there is no lack of stories about actors and their "connections" on the net.

Indeed, nowadays I posit you don't get to the "who you know" milestone without splashing the cash first. Literally knowing people (unless they're actually family) isn't enough, there needs to be incentive and/or favors owed to you in some way. Just a pet-peeve with the term.
I like the term "secret sugar daughter" though lol.

I think she's hot. I find the majority of mainland Chinese actresses to not be attractive. Zhang Zi Yi is another actress I find really attractive.
My whole office, myself included are Chinese and everyone thinks she's one of the more attractive mainland actresses.

Armie Hammer is a trust fund baby with connections. He can really do whatever he wants.
To be fair it's a little different when a foreigner breaks into hollywood. If some Taylor Kitsch 2.0 gets a big break in China's movie scene it might also raise some eyebrows.
The conspiracy stuff sounds like nonsense though. She probably just knows the right people

I've actually wondered about this a while back without treading Chinese message boards or hearing their gossip stuff. A full blown article is a bit much though. I just concluded that she had a really good agent.
I think what bothers a lot of Chinese viewers/gossip/netizens that people don't get in the thread is that Jing Tian is getting as many roles in Hollywood blockbusters as Fan Bingbing and Li Bingbing, but domestically she is FAR below them in the totem pole. For comparison Angelababy is the same age, also pretty, and is significantly more popular in China (and HK) than Jing Tian, but she had only been in one Hollywood blockbuster. (I will note I don't think either are particularly good actors lol)
I've watched some of Glory and one of Jing Tian's other works. It's not much, but I think Jing Tian is probably good at acting only a certain kind of role/personality. She has time to improve. I don't particularly think these small Hollywood parts will help with that though. In that respect, I think China is overweighing how well known Jing Tian has become internationally.
