The other thing is, with the same hardware and graphics settings, in game everyone experiences the same level of performance and visual clarity. On PC, you can reduce graphics settings to such an extent that you significantly decrease the density and quality of grass, smoke and other particle effects, that makes spotting other players much easier. Additionally, you can edit config files to get even lower graphics than the UI allows you to, all without risking a ban for doing so. There's also stuff like ReShade and Nvidia filters, which technically isn't cheating but in my opinion should be banned from competitive games:

issue is would the head of the division even be consulted if the axe was going to fall? surely our bald eagle would make the decision (probably in consultation with other none Xbox higher ups). anyone involved in Xbox is probably thinking full steam ahead.

Fun fact: Tekken 8 PC is home to just about all of the cheaters, including people like Fariborz who have auto low parry, 1 button electrics, auto low block, etc.
Xbox nosedived in the last 12 months, when ABK merger was decided the situation was diffeeenr.

Yeah, the other guy is just a gamer; he prefers Xbox but has a PS5 and doesn't care about Microsoft at all. That's the difference between them.
I play on both, and actually the majority of time I use pc is for sim racing in VR. Again, I think you're assuming I was making some point that I really wasn't making. There's space for high end and low end gaming on pc, that's absolutely fine.
We can't apply UK splits to the rest of the world. PC is far stronger than Xbox in continental Europe and Asia

He was just trolling as stated above, but yeah. Some of the limitations are CPU related, it doesn't matter if it's on console or PC. A 5 year old rig is on the same Zen 2 (or worse) architecture that the current consoles are. So pretty much just as limited as the current consoles in a vast amount of games. Plus if we're going to compare console 4k to old pc 1080p, at least you have to compare the game in performance mode, not quality mode. So yeah, I suspect his rig is playing about on par with current consoles at best.

Good hardware ala the RROD prone 360, the Kinect, the Xbox One, and the Xbox Series S. Good hardware indeed.
