i waited so long for this film... hopefully it will be good.
Another underwhelming Nolan film. He was all over the prestige. This only solidifies my theory. More Caine is more quality. He better star in this one.And he was in Inception for all of 5 minutes.
I think either he or Nolan have said he'll be in all of Nolan's films from here on out. Like Ithil said, it's a kind of good luck charm/tradition now, like John Ratzenberger being in all of Pixar's films.
Set in the future, the movie details the toll climate change has taken on agriculture, with corn the last crop to be cultivated.
The scientists embark on a journey through a worm hole into other dimensions in search of somewhere other crops can be grown.
Some new plot info:
That is quite a stupidbplot if true. We'll invent ways to grow crops in Antarctica before we can generate a wormhole. What is Nolan thinking?

Looking at the cast, I really think some of them are playing the same characters at different ages.
Well, that new plot point is certainly anti-climatic. But hey, no crops=dead, so I guess it cuts it.
How long 'til there's a Pixar-like theory where all of Nolan's movies take place within the same universe?
That'd be awesome.
No. Probably closer to Contact but that's even a stretch.Sci Fi flick about space travel and wormholes, eh? Fooled me once with Event Horizon. Not gonna happen again, bub.
I'm sure it will include space marines, demon gods and soul stealing emperors.is this a prequel to warhammer 40k?
Hype dwindling a bit. Some new plot info:

Remember that time on GAF when the inception plot was leaked?

so is this a political thriller in space or is this more like fast and the furious in space
Don't worry. Chris re-wrote the script so you have absolute zero questions about what is happening in each scene, let alone what the film is.

I suggest you don't worry about these things and just enjoy yourself.

I do have faith in Nolan for Interstellar. I'm sincerely hoping it's a return to form.
his return to form was inception which was after the overhyped movie which was the dark knight
What are you talking about? Inception was the start of Nolan's decline. Hoping it doesn't become a hatrick of disappointment.
yeah, Inception and TDKR were real career killers.
Because that is what I said and mediocre movies always underperform?
Will the spaceship be called the 'USS Tangerine'?
like Prestige?
It's only the man's best film. The Prestige sucked.
It's only the man's best film.
His films are awfully boring then. Besides , Memento is better.
Inception was Nolan's peak up to now.
Nolan's Avatar. That plot stuff sounds silly as fuck. I just hope this isn't overly expository Nolan.
I really enjoyed The Prestige, but just like with Inception or Memento there are ALWAYS some parts of a Nolan film which the analytical part of mind kinda tries to overanalyze and i always end up finding things that don't make sense to me which sort of destroys the illusion/magic of the film a little for me
Still cautiously pumped for this one though!
Nolan's Avatar.
Speaking of Cameron, he recently hired Steven Gould to write FOUR Avatar novels that flesh out events during and after Cameron's forthcoming three sequels.
http://www.deadline.com/2013/08/fox...-writers-to-spearhead-trio-of-avatar-sequels/wait, there's gonna be THREE sequels to Avatar or did i read that wrong? As in movies?
