I remember hearing 5 seasons was the magic number for syndication. With a 5th season, the show would be up to 80 episodes, possibly 90+ if we get additional orders.

Either way, Chuck seems to be one of the few consistent anchors on NBC
I have heard three different criteria for syndication:
5 Seasons
100 Episodes
76 episodes (cant remember where I read that years ago. It was something like 76 or 84 episodes)

With the way the entire lineup on NBC is going, Chuck might be safe again. The entire network is way down. And with House slipping this year, it is not as strong a competitor anymore. I just worry when football is in full swing.

The episode was alright, it was an episode that felt like old Chuck, it was about Chuck and Sarah, not really doing the mother search storyline here, and the return of the Buy Mor-ons.

Still say last week's was better for laffs

Different laughs, but this week was funnier I think. I havent laughed that hard at a show in a while. Both episodes have been great though. I just thought this one was more fun.

Missed the episode on Monday, watching it now.

I'm so glad the writers found a way to work with the the relationship, rather than dancing around it.

Question: Olivia Munn was awesome on Chuck last week. Any chance she’s going to be a series regular? —Jeni

Ausiello: I hear they wanted her to stick around, but she has a full plate, what with The Daily Show and NBC’s Perfect Couples. But maybe this will cheer you up: An upcoming Chuck—or an upChuck, if you will—will be set in Thailand. Not the REAL Thailand, though. A sliver of the Warner Bros. backlot made to look like Thailand.

Glad she didn't stick around honestly. Very overrated.

She looked great, but really did nothing beyond that in the premiere. Old Spice guy was much more amusing.
She looked great on Chuck. Better than she does in many other things. It is when she speaks or does her normal fanboy pandering that I want to vomit in my mouth.

Mustafa needs to come back. He was too awesome, which was not a surprise.

Yeah, I am sort of surprised anyone would actually want Munn on as a regular. As Cornballer said, Old Spice Guy was much more amusing.

Mustafa wasnt a CIA guy, he was Old Spice man working at the Buy More
Sure, but he was perfect for the "CIA is too efficient" plotline. How many more of the GRETA's are confirmed? Off the top of my head I can think of
Keibler
and
Summer Glau
, but I'm probably forgetting one or two.

Mustafa was great, but if he were made a regular, his role would become largely redundant with Captain Awesome. Both characters are based on the "handsome-and-great-at-just-about-everything" stereotype and although it was funny for one episode, I think it would get boring. For that reason alone, given a choice between him and Munn, I'd go for Munn even though she was the worse of the two.

I'm wondering how the Buymorians (who I am very happy to have back) will fit in with the agents who are now also working at the Buy More. Will they all be too dense to realize something is up?

Also, since Morgan is now the store manager... where does Big Mike fit in? Will Morgan be overwhelmed in his role and bring Big Mike back to hand the title back to?

I don't think either of them would have worked long term, so the idea of a new GRETA every week has some merits. I guess my only concern right now is that they're perhaps relying a little too much on stunt casting right now and we get situations like Balki delivering half a line in French and that's it. It's a minor concern, and nothing that bothers me too much.

I didn't mean my last post to imply that I actually wanted the Old Spice Guy to be a regular, just that I liked him better then Munn. I actually like what they are doing by cycling through a different actor every episode that Greta shows up in.

so I should want for Undercovers to die a horrible death in order for Chuck to survive? :D

You should hope that everything that is an hour long on NBC besides Chuck burns in a horrible fire. Except maybe The Event.

Is anyone here interested in covers for Chuck vs. the Music Season 1-4? A friend of mine made me some for my iTunes.

Was this from some sort of NBC conference call or is Stacy Keibler somehow important enough to just have spontaneous conference calls with reporters?

If I was a reporter I'd use any excuse I could to call her. I love that woman.

There really is no point to UnderCovers at all.

Chuck is not only an excellent action dramedy, but it already has the best TV couple (spies, to boot!) on the show. Win-win. :D

I adore Chuck, but they're not the best TV couple.

Last episode was awesome again. I think it was a very complete episode in terms of both the story and the cast (though Big Mike was missing).

Model sarah fight scene was amazing and the Buy Morons entrance was great too

Speaking of Big Mike,
what's gonna happen to him now that Morgan is the Manager?

There haven't been any released spoilers about Big Mike, but he is still listed in the opening credits and
he is listed to be in Monday's episode according to the synopsis.

Just watched the second episode. Lou Ferrigno and Old Spice Guy? Did they get a budget increase or something? All-around amazing episode. Also douche-fashionista Chuck was awesome.

NBC has released the official synopsis for Chuck vs the Couch Lock:

Elsewhere, Morgan (Joshua Gomez) works up the nerve to reveal a potentially dangerous secret to Casey. Yvonne Strahovski, Sarah Lancaster, Ryan McPartlin, Bonita Friedericy, Vik Sahay and Scott Krinsky also star.
Also, the title for episode 4.09 is Chuck vs. Phase Three.
