Probably one of my all time favorite episodes, with the sole reason being:

"Jeff, do you ever miss Ace of Base?"

"Always"

I've had an unnatural appreciation of Ace of Base since I can remember. I almost died when I heard that line. Absolutely fantastic and the only thing that would've made it better is if they'd have come into the Buy More with an Ace of Base song.

Also, holy holy shit and Sarah tonight. Absolutely smoking.

I know. Just...DAMN. And again, especially the panties and button up shirt at the end. Drool.

Zach Levi is an asshole that he gets to do scenes like that and get paid for it.

Does anyone have a link to the website that tracks the music in each episode of Chuck? The one I've used doesn't appear to have updated in awhile.

I'm specifically looking for that last song.

I post all of the songs every week, since Sepinwall always has them listed. But beyond that you can use ChuckTV (although it hasn't updated yet for season 4) and I think NBC's website has them eventually.

Edit: The last song was "A Girl, A Boy, and A Graveyard" by Jeremy Messersmith.

Good ep - not sure I like it as much as last week, but it was a lot of fun. Put another one in the win column for Lefrak and Judkins. I'm very curious to see some episodes from the new writers, and I hope they can continue the awesome.

One thing that I thought was odd looking back at the logline is that Sarah Lancaster and Ryan McPartlin weren't listed even though they appeared in the episode. That seems weird since as I think RevoDS pointed out a week ago they always list the title characters if they are going to appear.

I might start compiling them in the OP if people are interested, but I assume that ChuckTV will update their list pretty soon when they have some time.

Iirc, they listed the actress that plays Alex in the opening credits, but she didn't actually appear this week. Pinchot just getting a single line was odd, too.

- Rob Riggle to appear this season.

Exclusive: 'Chuck' enlists Rob Riggle

Actor-comedian-ex-Daily Show correspondent Rob Riggle is headed to Chuck, sources confirm to me exclusively.

The shocking twist? He’s not playing a character named Greta. I swear!

Riggle will instead guest star as Jim Rye, a super smart, intensely positive, and slightly crazy CIA agent who’s brought in to help Chuck become an even better spy.

He’ll appear in this season’s eighth episode, which also features a guest turn by fanboy icon Summer Glau—who will be playing a character named Greta.

Loved it -- another great episode. The model wasn't much of an actress but that isn't a huge surprise. :lol

Amazing episode, I loved it from start to finish really. I'm in agreement with Solo for once! Chuck's back!

True. She did appear in the Previously on Chuck bit though, so perhaps that's the explanation for that one.

Yep, I was really surprised to see Captain Awesome and Ellie tonight. I'm guessing they either changed how the lines work for this season or whoever wrote it screwed up?

By the way, we likely won't see ratings today because Nielsen is doing some quality testing (apparently related to tracking issues with ABC's Washington affiliate reporting no viewing at all with men 18-34). No ETA on when we will see them.

Yeah, I was just about to mention that. I heard they'd probably have them up in the afternoon, but we'll have to wait and see.

(Wipes mouth of drool). Yes, Levi is still an asshole for getting paid to work under those types of conditions.

Yes. She is still the most perfect woman on television. And I usually prefer brunettes. (Although I prefer Yvonne as a blonde. That wig doesnt work).

-Can't wait for the songs compilation of this season, great great music.
-The quality of the show is back, I was slightly disappointed with the premier, but this was great.
-All the characters got a lot of showtime, lots of great plot points running.
-Yvonne is lookin fine.
-Action scenes, especially cat fight, was great. Humor is overall back too.

how much do i love this show? I've now decided to show up 5 minutes late to my monday class i have at 8pm just to watch it live and support it

and you know what? after seeing hot blonde vs. blonde action in this episode, no one can convince me it wasn't worth it

What a TERRIFIC episode. Chuck, and Sarah bounced off of each other SO well throughout, especially while sneaking into the hotel room. Also, Chuck slapping Lou Ferrigno with the Tranq Glove killed me. Soooooo good.

Episodes like tonight are why I love this show. Talk about a perfect episode. I'm glad it didn't take long to bring Jeffster back, they are pure comedic gold. Just when you think Sarah can't get any hotter, they do an episode like this where she is mind blowing gorgeous!

evlcookie

but ever so delicious
Consistency error, why was sarah wearing different underwear after putting on that dress. For shame!

Great episode, So glad chuck is back and in form.

In the Previously recap it showed Linda Hamilton Shooting Dolph but I don't remember that happening, was it cut from the premiere or did I just miss it somehow?

It was the last shot of the episode.

Everything about this episode was awesome. Wish the Old Spice guy would stick around longer. *lol at wanting to work at the Buy More*

And Jeffsters triumphic return... How many tranqs did Jeff end up getting shot with? :lol

The last quote from Jeff too....couldn't stop laughing. :lol

The scene with Chuck and the gloves... this episode was just full of good moments.

And do I need to say anything about Sarah :D

Season 4 is off to a great start.

Short synopsis is up for 4.05, "Chuck vs. the Couch"

Chuck must decide what he is willing to sacrifice to find his mother; Morgan reveals a potentially dangerous secret to Casey.

I assume the Morgan thing will be the Casey choking him scene from the preview. Can't wait until that scene.

I know. That situation and scene have been my most anticipated thing about season 4 since they introduced the possibility of it last season.

Thanks. Added to the OP. Do we have an official title for 4.05 at this point? I've seen three different ones for that episode.

Good point. IMBD and Wikipedia are both showing it to be "Chuck vs. The Couch Lock." Not sure if there has been a confirmation on what exactly it is yet. Although the two following it, "vs. the Aisle of Terror" and "vs. the First Fight," everyone seems to be in agreement.

Edit: And now I am seeing "Chuck vs. the Couch Look," although I don't think that title makes any sense.

That's the one I've seen the most, so I guess I'll stick with it for now.

I guess we will find out Friday when the NBC press release comes out. I was going to check the source of the short synopsis, but SpoilerTV just sourced themselves.

Edit: ChuckTV shows “Chuck vs. the Couch Look” so I would think that is the correct one.

Great episode, but I really hope they don't jepordize Chuck and Sarah's relationship over this marriage/baby issue. I had to deal with their back and forth teasing for 3 seasons and I was eternally happy to see them together in the later part of season 3, but now it just seems like they WANT to create friction between them again (lieing about searching for his mom, not unpacking her clothes and now marriage and a baby).

As Casey said last episode: "Oy Kavult."

Awesome episode again this week! I love that Chuck is back to its light hearted roots. Don't get me wrong I really enjoyed Season three but I am happy that the show is back to a more fun tone. The old buy more crew reclaiming the store was classic. :lol

Overnights are in, and from my reading of it Chuck looks close to what it did last week. The Event dropped a bit but still did pretty well. We'll know more later when the fast affiliate numbers arrive.
