What a great episode...

Love how Morgan and Chuck reflect Casey and Sarah... Morgan's the comedic equivalent of Casey's bad-ass military spec-op guy (dressing up like him, breaking his own thumbs, calling Casey sir, shocking himself), and Chuck's the lighter version of Sarah's more traditional spook/undercover type spy.

The only things I'm going to read until I'm caught up are ratings chatter. Even without being a Chuck fan, its ratings are easily the most interesting thing about the show.

And as I said on TVBTN, if Chuck can get to 100 episodes, it will be the biggest win for bubble shows since I've started following television. Huge, huge win.

Granted, if it gets 22 this season and 22 next season, that's only 98. But I assume NBC would throw it another 2 episodes just cause if it came down to it.

Have they changed the 'rules' with respect to syndication? I've seen a few things here and there with people quoting a lower number of episodes that shows had to reach (high 70's / low 80's), but I haven't heard definitively if that's the case.

88 is more of the norm these days, but people still like 100 more. Doesn't change the fact that 100 is much more significant because it's, well... 100.

Oh man, the helmet. I can't remember the last time I laughed that hard at a TV show.

One of the funniest/most bizarre visuals ever. :lol

Thanks for the info.

How long does it usually take for a new episode to get on NBC.com?
It's up now.

- NBC.com

They put them up sometime at night, but I'm not sure exactly when.

Absolute classic of an episode, I knew the Morgan/Casey thing would be cue for some hilarity and they did not disappoint. It's kind of funny that Morgan and Casey have way more chemistry than Chuck and Sarah did last season. :lol

If the rest of the season is as good as it's been so far, we need a back nine. My Monday night depends on it.

- ChuckTV.net put up the music list from last night
Episode 4.05 – Chuck vs. the Couch Lock

“Dead Man’s Party” by Oingo Boingo (Casey’s funeral)
“Day Like This” by Time Again (Casey takes down his former team and escapes)
“On Sale Now (as Heard On Chuck)” by Daniel May (Jeff answers the phone when Casey calls in a Code Red)
“Shop Till You Drop (As Heard On Chuck)” by Billy Martin (Morgan tells Casey he and Alex were together but are pretty much over now)
“Second Hand News” by Mates of State (Morgan gives Casey an invitation to his party; again at the party)
EDIT: Links to Amazon and iTunes via the link.

What a great episode last night. It had damn near everything with some funny Jeffster moments, Awesome & Elle making appearances, Casey was just plain amazing as was Morgan, and the Chuck/Sarah relationship drama was nowhere to be found. Oh, and Eric Roberts was in it :)

Probably one of my favorite episodes in a while.

Ratings from last night:
TVBTN said:
Approximately 5.26 million viewers tuned in, pulling a 1.9 rating in the 18-49 demo. That may not be a glamorous number, but when so many other Monday shows have been free-falling, stability is impressive.

Looks like Chuck has pretty much stabilized to a 1.9, at least for the fall. If we do have a back 9 in the spring I would be interested to see if it changes any or if this is pretty much the max audience Chuck will have.

After a lousy and hard Day at work this Tuesday turns to an awesome Tuesday. First there is a good Change of a Back 9 for Season 4 of Chuck. Than i saw an awesome new Episode of Chuck. And to push it to the max my "Nerd" Shirts from Zachery's Nerd Machine just arrived. :D

Breaking: NBC picks up 'Chase,' orders more 'Undercovers'
by Michael Ausiello

This Just In: NBC has given a full-season pickup to rookie action drama Chase. Additionally, the net has ordered four more Undercovers scripts. Oh, and the Chuck back-nine news I reported yesterday? It’s now official, only I’m now told it’s back eleven! That’s right, Chuck‘s fourth season will be 24 episodes long!

24 episodes, eh? That means they got in the extra 2 episodes that they would need to hit 100 with a 22 episode 5th season, right?

Yup. If they do 24 episodes this season, that would get them to 78 total.

And you still don't think Clark flew from the windmill.

(But I've never mentioned haing almost t-boned someone on the way to work.)

Clark didn't fly from the windmill.

EDIT: Back 11 - The fuck!

I'd like this to be the final season though.

As would I, but sadly the extra 2 eps added seems to all but guarantee NBC will give this a 22 ep 5th season and then promptly shitbin it after 100 eps.

Whoops, I actually let out an audible cheer and now everyone in the offices around me are wondering what's up.

YES.

No way. Full order of a 5th season, go out with a bang, and I'll be somewhat satisfied.

4 seasons is too short for a show of this caliber, especially with the first season being so short. 5 seasons would be perfect.

I'd agree with this. Full final season, going in knowing it's the final season and writing accordingly, and we can actually get a satisfying ending.

5 is a good number, I'd be happy with it. Heck, it's 3 more than I thought we might get at one point.

I would like this to be the final season, but the prospect of a built, planned for final season sounds good too.

Edit: I don't know if this show would do good in syndication, however.

Hell, FNL just got pulled from ABC after only a month :(.

I was wondering why they weren't showing it anymore on abc family

Some shows do really well in syndication, some don't. We won't know until the show reaches that threshold and channels can start buying it.
