I had a vision, one of what the world would be like without will they/won't they or relationship drama, and it was glorious. It was this episode. Seriously, when was the last time we had an episode that wasn't heavy on either? Fantastic episode. The Morgan/Casey dynamic was great, Jeffster was hilarious, the guests stars were fun, the plot was entertaining, and if you happened to miss the final scene and part of the laser scene, you'd have never known Chuck and Sarah were dating. They need to continue like this.

- does anyone actually buy Eric Roberts as being young enough or Joel David Moore as being fit enough to be special forces? :lol
- Morgan: “if there was one word I’d use to describe John Casey, it would be forgiveness. Big, gun-loving, commie-hating forgiveness” :lol
- Jeff: “Don’t worry, I know that dumpster” :lol :lol
- good music selections in this one
- man, Alex is the best new edition to this show in ages – it is impossible not to love her
Trust me, it's possible.

A bunch of stuff for Monday's episode leaked or was released by NBC. Word on the street is that these are filled with some *big spoilers*, so watch at your own risk.

- Chuck 4x06 - behind the scenes - Story
- Chuck 4x06 - behind the scenes - Footage
- Chuck 4x06 - Sneak Peek 1
- Chuck 4x06 - Sneak Peek 2
- Chuck 4x06 - Zachary Levi Interview
- Chuck 4x06 - Linda Hamilton Interview
- Chuck 4x06 - Robert Englund Interview

As always, if you want to discuss the clips, please use spoiler tags.

I won't really discuss the content, but didn't seem that bad on the spoilers to me. I didn't read the interviews though. Still plenty to see! Can't wait!

Ah, ok. I haven't watched them myself, so I was basing the spoiler warnings on someone's comments from another forum.

You were just playing it safe. There are some that consider a character sighing is a spoiler.

Loved that this episode was more Morgan focused. Chuck was less of his dorky self this time, which was really weird and refreshing.

Apparently The Signoff will be replacing Chuck and the Event during December. Which means if there are no other breaks we should get to episode 11 during the fall and have 13 episodes once the show comes back in what I assume will be late January.

Boooo. I was hoping they'd get through the first 13 by the end of the year. My guess is that things will really be ramping up around episode 11.

- From ChuckTV.net:
Chuck Pre-Empted On November 8

NBC just announced that Chuck will be pre-empted on Monday, November 8 for a “Matt Lauer Reports” news special. That means whatever cliffhanger we get at the end of “Chuck vs. the First Fight” won’t be resolved until Monday, November 15. Earlier it was announced that Chuck and The Event will be off the air in December to make way for reality show The Sing-Off.

Before you start gnashing your teeth and saying “NBC hates Chuck”, remember that they just gave it an 11-episode back order. Perspective!
Grumble, grumble.

I don't mind a one-week break. It'll be a boring monday, yes, but that's basically the only consequence since unlike previous seasons, Chuck has no ratings momentum to be killed by the week off.

But I have a mini-rant to do. ChuckTV is extremely short-sighted by even mentioning the possibility of NBC hating Chuck. If there's anything these four seasons have proved, it's that NBC execs love them some Chuck. They waited three seasons in hopes that it'd break out (remember the massive promotion for the S3 premiere?) and only just accepted that Chuck's audience is what it is and won't shrink or expand significantly anytime soon. If Chuck were an ABC/CBS/Fox show, we wouldn't be having this discussion right now.

I don't know about you guys, but I'm extremely thankful for what NBC has done for Chuck. No, it hasn't always been handled properly (the infamous post-Superball preemption for instance), but they've clearly always loved and supported the show (hell, seasons 2 and 3 got back orders before even airing their premieres). There are many shows I could agree with "The network hates X!" arguments, but Chuck is far, far from making the list.

As much as NBC has fucked up nearly everything in the last few years, they have shown they love Chuck. It isn't the huge hit they want it to be, because it is obvious that they love it, but they are at least keeping it and finding a way to make it work. I do wonder how it would fare on another night though.

So if Chuck's off the air in December, does this mean we won't be getting a Christmas episode?
Probably not. It would have been written before these decisions were made, but I don't think NBC would want to show a Christmas episode in January.

This Monday doesn't seem so bad, so with Chuck tonight, it's like Christmas in October!

Just for you, Solo.

You'd have still said it had I not brought it up last week :lol

Anyways, third or forth week straight I won't be seeing it live. Hopefully catch it tomorrow.

I have high hopes for tonight. Robert Englund should be a lot of fun. The only two guest stars this show has wasted were Christopher Lloyd and Bronson Pinchot.
