Whoops, forgot to post the music earlier. Here is all of it from this week's episode.

"Rad Anthem" by Rad Omen (Break into Volkoff's office, Morgan lasers)
"Got a Nerve" by Grand Vanity (Ellie announces that her water broke)
"Push It" by Salt-n-Pepa (Jeffster! cover) (Ellie gives birth)
"Young Blood" by The Naked and Famous (the final montage)

All I can say is....WOW...fucking fantastic episode.

That's probably up there as my favorite episode alongside the Season 2 finale.

Didn't they find out before filming this episode that they had been given more episodes? I'm really shocked they let this stay so final episode-ish.

I believe they were still writing episode 12 and 13 when they found out. My guess is they already had their plan (as rushed as episode 12 was) and didn't want to change it.

Google tells me it's "Push It".

You are correct. I fixed my post above.

Awesome episode tonight! I would say it is easily my favorite this season, even prompted me to order the season 3 blu ray off of amazon which I surprisingly didn't own yet.

It was a great episode yet it felt like it was compacting so much together and wrapping everything so neatly in 1 hour.... I don't think they knew that they had more eps when they wrote/filmed this.

And it's good to see Jeffster is not getting pigeonholed into only doing 80's rock anthems...they even do old-skool hip-hop, NICE!

That was an excellent episode and it really did seem like a series finale. Honestly, anything after this is gravy. As long as the show doesn't completely go off the tracks after this episode, I can be content with what I got out of the series.

Loved the episode. Volkhoff saying The Contessa had an "old-fashioned ice cream parlor" and then being shown with ice cream later was great. "I should have told you I have a thing about bullets." The Orion tease was awesome. Lester mockingly saying, about Chuck, "I'm cool, I listen to indie music" was fantastic. As for the preview:

Sarah as a belly dancer? Sweet Lord, I might pass out.

I could watch that scene over and over and over.

I liked the episode, but not as much as everyone else it seems. I guess my whole problem with the season so far is that at no stage was Chuck's mum made into a likeable character. So everything from Sarah going under cover to rescue her to her getting in ahead of Chuck in the delivery room fell flat.

Agreed about Chuck's mom part... Everything wrapped too neatly in this one ep

Episode was fantastic and I'm glad they didn't kill Vohlkoff. Chuck fans actually managed to make #Chuck413 a WW trending topic on Twitter.

We cannot be stopped.

That episode was fucking fantastic. Laugh moments, emotional moments and awesome moments all neatly wove together. I loved the closing shot.

Very entertaining episode, what a great ride!

I got all excited with the Orion bit and was punching the couch yelling "Yes! He's alive!" when my wife pointed out that it was probably Chuck doing it as part of his plan. Then I was all, "yeah, that would make sense"

Still, cool that Papa B. played a part in Volkoff's downfall.

I don't know how it never crossed my mind that Awesome's first word holding his daughter would be "awesome" but it was perfect.

My only complaint was the Jeffster bit. I usually like them, but this was a little over the top, even for Chuck.

The proposal was a nice touch, in a hospital hallway with the floor cleaner going - a nice call back to Casey's bit about the location not being important.

Morgan = awesome yet again. The flippers cracked me up.

Last night's episode was so incredibly good. Many things (dare I say almost too many?) were wrapped up, but there's room to move forward.

It almost felt like a series finale until the end!

I know Morgan said he was wearing underwear, but I was expecting to see him in the server room holding his junk when Sarah, Chuck, and Mama walked in.

Agree on all counts. I really liked the kidnapping professor's bit, "are we in a bathroom...?"

Just watched it. Amazing episode with an awesome ending.
I knew it would be Chuck being Orion but it didn't stop the reveal being any less cool. I loved Morgan with his wetsuit and flippers being a Yoga Seal.

Holy wow, I'm honestly surprised at all the love the episode is getting. I thought everything but the final 10-15 minutes was fairly half-assed and rushed. I normally enjoy almost every episode but I just thought a lot of this one was weak.

- I thought the spider thing at the beginning was just dumb and lazy. Maybe it was a reference to something, I don't know.

- Casey muttering about his coat and Sarah at the beginning felt weak to me. I think there could've been a better way to convey that information.

- There is no way Volkoff kept that engineer alive or not in his employ. Yes, I know, very nitpicky but them finding him seemed way to quick and easy. The bathroom question and Morgan's "this is hell" were kinda funny though.

- All four of them meeting up on the boat and the only resistence they meet is two guards and a security chamber? Again, it seemed rushed. Chuck/Morgan did in one day/week what Frost couldn't do in 20 years?

- I loved the Orion references, although I thought it was quite obvious it was Chuck the whole time.

- The cabin scene was good, but the scenario seemed weak. Does Volkoff really just go into a cabin against Orion all by himself?

- I love me some Jeffster, but it felt like they were pushed (pardon the pun) into that situation. It didn't feel natural like the wedding scene when they were called upon to perform or like Ellie's going away party. The performance and song choice were fantastic though.

Anywho, it was nice to see some things resolved and advanced and I can't wait until next week. I love the one off episodes.

Seriously, the spider thing was a reference to either Minority Report or some old 80's/90's movie I can't remember the name of off hand (they shot discs that killed people). It was more than likely Minority Report considering how they moved.

Ouch at the ratings. Not so good this week. I wonder if Human Target stole off viewers (like Chuck, I believe it largely has a male audience) because it had a season high during the same time period.

NBC’s Chuck dropped to a season low tieing 1.7 adults 18-49 rating, while The Cape fell to a series low 1.5 rating on Monday night. Good news at 10pm though, as Harry’s Law maintained its 2.1 rating from last week.

Damn it. Why? Why would that many people abandon the show this week who had watched the past two?

Not quite. They'd never have found their way there if Chuck hadn't flashed on the smashed eyeball thing.

EDIT: I don't know if this was deliberate, but the SUV in the scene just outside the boat had a licence plate of "1PT21GWP". My wife got all excited and had me wind it back to show me, thinking it may be a sneaky reference to Back to the Future (one point twenty one gigawatts, of course). Probably not, and the extra "P" throws it off, but it was cool to have my wife notice something like that; for reference, I don't think she's actually watched Back to the Future and she's not a geek, my influence is obviously finally rubbing off on her. Cool.

The movie you searching for is Runaway with Tom Selleck

True on the eyeball, but I still think the resolution was rushed.

Last night did such a great job of wrapping up the show that I can't figure out where they're going to take it from now. I could see the writers doing away with the evil organizations for the rest of this season and focusing on character arcs and episodic missions; I somehow don't see a new major bad guy coming so soon after defeating Volkoff. Unless he's coming back?

You answered your own question. Last 2 eps were meh, so people didnt watch this one.

The last two episodes were fine. Without any "event" (like an awards show or major sports tournament) going on, losing 15% of the ratings group seems odd. I suppose though there could have simply been more people watching TV last night and thus the numbers are down but the total viewership may actually be close to level.

Sucks for Chuck, but go Harry's Law. Love that show.

I'm of two minds on this one - on the one hand, there were a lot of issues with it and S4.0 on the whole, but on the other hand, it was easily the best episode of the season and the most emotionally satisfying episode in a long time. I have two big issues. First was, is, and will remain to be the casting of Mary Bartowski. Scott Bakula was fanservice casting done right, matching perfectly an actor with a role, and he brought warmth and personality to it and made it memorable. Linda Hamilton was fanservice casting of the absolute worst kind. Sure, its Sarah Connor, but did no one realize before casting her that she cannot act and botox has left her face unable to emote? I think a lot of the season would have rang truer if Mary had been more competently cast. The second issue is the timeline. Within 3 episodes Sarah goes undercover, spends months with Volkov, and they take him down. Way too compressed. On the positive side of things, I absolutely loved the Stephen Bartowksi respect paid throughout the episode, and I really thought Chuck's actions in this would truly have made him proud. The episode ended on such a great note for all the characters too - Casey healing and having a family, Ellie and Awesome having their baby, Morgan being Morgan, Jeffster rocking out, and a sweet Chuck and Sarah scene without any dialogue or bullshit. Well done.

- I liked Ellie's "he's family, and Chuck and I would do anything for family"
- CGI spider-Minority Report thing was LOL-worthy
- Orion reveal would have been awesome had I not already read it in this thread :(
- there is no way this was written as a potential series finale - Fedak/Schwartz didn't even write it!
- very touching scenes between Alex and Casey
- LOL at Ellie directing her own delivery
- it was so great to see Chuck use his brain again for what seems like the first time in eternity and come up with a plan, rather than just going the usual Intersect kung-fu route
- now THERES a Jeffster performance I can get behind!
- really great final scenes

Its that tied with the last 10 minutes of Vs The Colonel. S2 <3

Little moments I loved about the episode:
The picture of Volkoff for his caller ID on Mary's phone.
Awesome freaking out the entire episode.
Awesome's "awesome" when he held his daughter for the first time. That was too perfect.
