I'm happy about the more episodes because it means more Chuck, but I hope that NBC decides on this sooner rather than later so that the writers can build the entire season off of one story arc instead of the original 13 like they always have.

And the people who bitch about "zomg NBC stop doing more episodes the story will suck!!" are still going to watch the show regardless (a la Heroes) so this makes it even more awesome.

I don't see it happening. I just don't. Chuck has always been a consistent under performer in ratings, and I think NBC wants to get rid of its poor performers and start fresh. But, that's assuming we're talking about a smart NBC.

Granted, I'll take even more Chuck no problem, and I wouldn't complain... but it'll be really tiring again if have this uncertainty at the end again. It's the perfect opportunity to close out a show with minimal fan backlash.

Agreed. Chuck's been screwed over story-wise because of NBC pulling this shit for the past couple of seasons. End it at 13 with the proper ending.

Meh. Given the source on that and the plausibility of the rumor, I'm skeptical that they'd even entertain extending the season. I'm not going to worry about it for now.

I love Chuck as much as anyone, but even I'm ready for them to end it with 13 episodes. Hopefully they are tight with a good, consistent, and coherent story that delivers a proper conclusion.
