Circana May Release Will Be Delayed Until Jul 10th, Will Debut an Aggregated PC Best-selling Titles Chart

Fantastic news. The more data the better!

So what's the reason for the massive delay? Results would be almost 2 months old at that point.
I imagine it will take time to collect and agregate the data from all the different PC stores, and establish a process for how it is done.

- The reason for the delay is stated quite clearly in the OP. They've taken time to add more data from a wider array of sources.

- Factual data does not change. Are you making any major decisions based on the timely release of this data?

They're reworking the data to go back to 2020 I think.

It's a strange decision to not do this independently. So release what you were normally doing since you have that data then aggregate the additional data with them going back to 2020 anyway to include that month like all the other previous months.

Not really no. They haven't mentioned that as a reason at all. It shouldn't even be a reason because it's additional data that they're doing and could have still released the May data that doesn't include those additional stores yet, then have them added in July like all the other 'historical data' going back to 2020.
I'm not basing a major decision on May results but it would have been good to know the performance of Elden Ring Nightreign and Doom TDA while it was still new and relevant.

They don't have to go back to 2020 just yet, but they do have to redo all the months so far in 2025 so that the annual charts are updated.
