Class of Heroes 2 Physical Release [UMD+PSN for $36] order forms up, min-2500 units

Any updates? This may very well be the longest gap between posts in this thread yet. More so, are gaming sites going to get review copies?

Yes. We just got confirmation yesterday that we'll be able to give press who commit to a review of the game access a week early, starting 5/28. As for embargos, I detest them and what they do - they're one of the four horsemen of the gaming apocalypse. Pretty sure MonkeyPaw is on the same page, but it's their call in the end. I'm thinking it will be a "no embargo". In fact, I'd personally love to have a play blog from some of the smaller sites with more time where they blog as they play (minus possible spoilers) through the week.

The list that's committed to a review is a mix of those and smaller sites. About 20 in all so far.

Just out of curiosity, what's the average hits per month for the smaller sites? I love that developers consider these smaller sites versus just going for the ones with 10,000's+ if hits per month.

EDIT: A play blog was exactly what I had in mind once I get my digital code. I don't understand how people can sum up their entire experience over the course of 30-40 hours in a short 800-1000 words.

Well, most major outlets don't really bother with PSP reviews. There's RPGFan(who reviewed BRS), maybe RPGamer, and maybe Destructoid and the like.

Don't forget Siliconera. They also cover PSP games. I'm pretty sure if a review code is sent their way, they'll post a Play Test of it.

Doesn't go off hits, but unique visitors. Looking for thousands monthly, but something in the high hundreds that's well-presented would probably be approved - and I know some have been.

Very cool. I'm at 516 unique for the month of May (4th - 24th). I now have a goal to aim for ;)

I'm at a convention this weekend and will hopefully be leaving with a few PSP games, my poor backlog. COH2 is first on the list!

Sounds like you're on the right track. When I started before the www blew up, I just had a few bbses I posted reviews to. It was enough output to get me in with NEC and Videogames magazine after only about 6 months.

About 2-3 years ago my site was bringing in about 1500 uniques a month (if I recall correctly), but I took down my site due to hosting issues (bad host). About a month ago I relaunched my site as more of a professional business card/resume, but my blog is picking up hits again :)

And back when www took off, I'm not sure how old I was, but we may not have had a computer back then :P

I'll probably do a review as well.
Currently I'm not writing for a site, honestly I'm not sure what I'm doing. But I figure since I'm getting a new game I might as well give it a go.

Question, were the retail versions of these supposed to go out yet or no?

The physical versions will trail the digital release by 3-4 weeks. The digital version will be on PSN 6/4 for $24.99, and those that bought the physical+digital combo will get their download code for it via email.

Can't wait. I'm guessing the Class of Heroes II official thread will be up pretty soon. So is the official word that we'll receive the review codes on the day of the game's release or in advance?

I can't access GameFAQs due to a firewall, but Google suggests an update was posted back in July saying that there was a problem with the UMD manufacturing due to a bug somewhere in the game. I don't know if there is any more current information than that.

Forgive me for not checking the whole thread, but did the game reach the pre-order threshold?
