Just finished reading Milligan's X-Statix run. Great series but I really hated the ending
American comic books totally suck at the 'killing off at the end' aspect.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Captain Marvel, Red She-Hulk, Journey Into Mystery, X-Factor, Gambit, Scarlet Spider, and Venom on the chopping block sooner than later.

Dark Avengers is ending with 190 I believe.

And I would bet that Morbius is the first Marvel NOW title to get cut, unless the upcoming Spider-Man guest-appearances can save it.

I didn't know some of those books were selling like shit, I've really enjoyed parts of Scarlet Spider and Venom :sadface

That's the only way the series could have ended.

Morbius is an absolute abortion and along with Ways Thunderbolts is the worst book on the market. I want to know who thought it was a good idea to have the whole comic be about homeless Morbius, get a sandwich, find some clothes, stumble on a ghetto turf war, be homeless and find some clothes. awful, awful, awful.

Sounds like early Spawn. At least that had creative twists.

Hey finally something of Cassandra Cain is releasing.

I was thinking about buying the chess collection anyway, now I definitely will.

She should be higher than a pawn though.

Morbius is the only NOW book that I can see getting cancelled before issue 12. However, I wouldn't put it past Marvel to retool it instead of cancelling it (Superior Morbius Team-Up now featuring Superior Spider-Man), so that they can continue to state that they have not cancelled any of the NOW titles.

Maybe they'll fold him into a team book. Morbius and Dr Strange take on the supernatural horrors of the universe!

I would buy that book so hard they'd be like "YO, why'd you suplex that book??" and I'd be like "I didn't SUPLEX it I just BOUGHT it" and they'd be like "Oh ok gotcha"

the only thing i don't like about low selling books, besides comic readers being lame and letting something i like die, is the chance that it ends in a rushed fashion from a quick cancellation.

No longer boycotting the Wolfenstein franchise
Srsly. Who bases their purchases on how many other people are buying something?

A surprising number of people... a lot of people are spurred to check things out because they want to be part of the conversation.

Also, as said, success makes something more likely to continue, thereby making it seem like a worthwhile investment. Of course, in the comics world, success also often means the story will never end.

Yep, though i'm way behind. Still liking it after 6 issues and after i get caught up on Fatale i'm going to read 7-10. Tangent: After really liking Fatale #4 and 5, 6 and 7 were an iffy start to a new story arc.

My comments got a little misinterpreted though, I don't actively avoid low selling titles from Marvel because they aren't selling well, they just didn't interest me enough to buy them monthly and their trade program doesn't punish me for waiting like DC does in case i change my mind/it gets great reviews.

Also, Marvel Zombies Supreme on Marvel Unlimited went into the "flip through" mode by issue 3, not a great addition to the marvel zombies universe. On to Space Punisher 2-4 on MU after not REALLY liking the first issue, but i'm curious and it's a mini.

I certainly love me some JOCK. Snyder describing him on the podcast was hilarious

link is here btw if anyone wants to give it a listen: http://smodcast.com/episodes/scott-snyder-of-cowls-and-owls/

it's about when Death of the Family was starting so he just mostly talks about Court of Owls and how he got to work on Batman and how he basically shat his pants when he found out he'd be relaunching it with new 52. Pretty good listen.

I think I'm definitely going to be grabbing those Star Wars: Legacy collected edition hardcovers Dark Horse is going to put out. Loved the series, would love to have it all in a few hardcovers as opposed to the dozen or so TPBs.

aren't they smaller than normal HCs though? that would bug me...they are, from the solicit, going to be 6x9 dimensions.

Martin also probably has at least a few issues done - he basically been doing this and some coverwork for Marvel since he tapped out of Daredevil.
