One of the disadvantages of being behind on my comics reading is that I'm still pulling titles I may want to drop like WatXM. Hope the series picks back up

Smallish week for me

- Age of Ultron #6 (it's a train wreck that I am unable to pull myself away from)
- Captain America #6
- Daredevil #25

Maybe Nova #3. Haven't decided yet.

I think I am going to pick up Daredevil: End of Days when it is finished/collected. It seems to be getting decent reviews/WOM.

Looking ahead at next week, I'm getting 12 books, so perhaps it is a good thing that this week is so light :/

So, what's on probation or about to get cut for you guys?

Secret Avengers - first 2 issues haven't been good, this is really close to going
Young Avengers - issue #3 lost all the good will I had for issue #2, it's close to getting cut
Fearless Defenders - first 2 issues were decent, probably the safest on this list with Aquaman
Aquaman - still safe but this arc needs to impress. Just picked this up after the war arc and it's not doing a ton for me so far
Green Arrow - same as Aquaman. The latest issue was better and more cohesive than the previous ones, I'll give it through the start of the next arc before deciding
Sex - issue #1 was pretty average, have issue #2 to read, will give at least 3 issues
Star Wars Legacy: Prisoner of the Floating World - issue #1 didn't do much for me, will give at least 3 issues

Not too bad, considering I pull 47 titles a month and trade wait another 9.

Rad, just didn't want to be shunned for not posting the most up to date ones. Yesterday I had a big haul because I haven't been able to visit a shop in some time.

Plus I'm sure I'm forgetting one or two. But yeah, I'm happy with it. Arena and Legacy are my top two right now because Leigon is an awesome character and I have a soft spot for the Runaways. Also cant wait for Regular Show, I'm rather excited KC will be doing the art.

Old Claremont/Miller Wolverine mini is a kindle daily deal today for $2. Only my paper white supported the panel view thing they have but figured it might be of interest to folk here.

Didn't they solicit the collection recently? Just had a look. The deluxe edition hardcover is in stock at Amazon UK.

Thank you. I still have a ton to get, but I spent more than I wanted to on those, so it'll have to wait. I'm curious if they'll do six-shot spin offs like Marceline and Fionna for RS, but I'm not sure what they would use. Maybe Elieen and Margeret?

Ad how the hell is Peter Panzerfaust worth so much, is getting a motion comic with big name actors and a live action series? Comic is as plain as can be.....

If the response to it is as good as what they got for the Adventure Time series I bet they'll jump on it sharpish.

I mean, it's alright. But it does nothing with the themes and concepts of Peter Pan. I think you can find the first trade under ten at some places. I mean, I don't to dissuade you from reading at least, I would only do that for Fables or TWD.

As long as its good and not just a cash in, I dont mind. I loved Marceline, and Fionna is pretty good as well.
Just because Marceline is one of my favorite characters doesnt mean I'm biased. Totally not. Nope.

Gotta say, I dropped the Marceline mini-series after the 2nd issue. Just wasn't doing it for me in the way the main series was.

edit:

Also agree with Rafa on Peter Panzerfaust. I dropped that after the 3rd issue, in favour of trade-waiting. Haven't got round to the trade yet but what I read in single issues wasn't brilliant. Okay. The positive for me is potentially selling the first print issues for some profit.

Huh, that's a shame. I enjoyed it, and its got some good PB and Marcie friendship time. But hey, to each their own, so all is well.

Any idea when that Graphic Novel is suppose to come out? I believe its about FP, but I just remember seeing an ad for an original story written in graphic novel style.

May 7th. That seems to be the date on Amazon. Only thing I can find on the KABOOM site is that it ships April 2013.

Well shoot. I guess that's that. I'll keep an eye out for it regardless.

Here's an idea, to anyone here, if you could pick a cartoon to have a comic made from it, which would you choose? Bonus points: Would you pick a webcomic artist like they have for AT and RS? And if so, who would you choose?

Claremont & Millar's 1982 Wolverine mini-series is on sale on Comixology. It's the collected edition of all four issues for £1.49 (dunno what it is in dollars)

Holy shit is this book amazing! It's got Ennis' trademark accents, love of america, dark humour, ultra violence, and sex. But what really surprised me that I never read in Boys, Crossed, Punisher, and a dozen other Ennis books is how incredibly his Tulip is and her relationship with Jesse is wonderful. Never knew Ennis had it in him.

Ennis has a weird thing with women sometimes... where they feel like characters Ennis himself would fall in love with. It's probably most evident in the Kit character in Hellblazer where I think he loves the character so much that he has her leave John so she doesn't get killed by the end.

Quickly guys - What is the single best Batman series? I am buying Runaways back issues and I need to buy at leas another ten comics to make it worth it, and I figured the bat needs some love from me, so which would be the best to get?

The only one I remember reading and really enjoying was Year 100 I believe it was called? I realize it was a graphic novel, but I am buying singles right now, so any and all suggestions are welcome.

"Batman" is the only acceptable batbook being published right now. Incorporated is also really good but Batman is something you can pick up the current issue of and really enjoy.
