I loved WWH gladly bought it yesterday. I will say this is JRJR best work at Marvel since his JMS Spider-man run but his Cap stuff is almost on this level of quality.

Speaking of event comics, how did Fear Itself fare out, as a whole? I read the first issue or two and fell off afterwards, but my feelings were somewhat mixed about it.

I tried reading it a little while back but it's all pretty dull from what I can tell.

they never go far enough. they are forever creating cool shit, only to squelch it and turn it into another generic "battle to save the world".

it was a good read and some good character development, but really they did nothing with Skadi and the hammer wielders like they could have.

I"d just finished reading Planet Hulk and really enjoyed it so decided to pick up almost all the WWH stuff on comixology, then a day later it all goes on sale.

Am enjoying it anyway, keen to check out the new Hulk series afterwards.

Will drop pants for Sony.
I liked World War Hulk. I bought almost all of it except for the Ghost Rider and Iron man stuff I think.

I loved that cross over. you should get the iron man and ghost rider ones. I did like it when the Hulk showed up at Xavier's door. Hulk's fight with Doc Strange was good too.

Just read Deadpool Fear Itself: It's written by the author of Dr. McNinja.

Reading Sins Past arc in JMS' Spiderman run, and I gotta say as much as I like Mike D.'s art, Romita Jr. became much more favourable to me, if only because of the 'cartoony'-like style of his art, and with that the artstyle change feels very dramatic.

If anything the page where Osborn's face then gets swapped for Goblin's always cracks me up, but I still find that
the twins being Gwen and Norman Osborn's children really hard to take in/accept mainly because I don't see how it could ever happen. Then again I've not read any older Spiderman stories yet, and I don't have a very broad idea of Gwen's character

Originally they were supposed to be
Peter
's, but editorial said no. The arc wouldn't have been as bad if they hadn't changed it.

It wouldn't be *as* bad but it'd still be pretty fucking terrible. I think JMS changed it to Norman to fuck with editorial, with the idea that he'd be able to retcon it via OMD. Obvs, that didn't pan out and we've got Goblin twins running around still.

No doubt. Well so long as no one actually plays with them it'll be like they never existed.

I'm trying to write an OT for Mike Mignolia Hellboy series, but am kinda stumped at the Introduction XP
I think I'll try to do it 'backwards' starting with the references and then making it to the introduction...

Hi, nice to meet you, I'm the only person on Earth that loved it.

If you're into Fraction's Iron Man, it's essential reading.

Bought the Stephanie Brown Batgirl run. Going to read it. If it doesn't live up to Stephanie Brown Fan Club hype, I plan to burn it in retaliation.

Any idea when the second issue of Private Eye might come out? I realised that while I assumed it'd be monthly there's actually nothing on the site to suggest it will be, and it might all be dependent on how much they make from issues and all that. Enjoyed the first issue so am looking forward to the next to see where it all goes.

Looking forward to Jupiter's Legacy reviews. On one hand it's Frank Quitely drawing, but on the other hand it's a Mark Millar book. Will need to see impressions before purchasing.

Heard the name. Got all excited thinking, "HOLY SHIT IS IT LIKE A DOPE SPACE BOOK OR SOMETHING?!" Realize it's not. Cue massive disappointment.

I need some kind of spaceship book.

That isn't Star Trek.

Or Star Wars.

Lobdell is like the hardest working worst writer at DC. Anytime he just works plotting/story but doesn't write the issues of what he works on, they actually turn out good.

I think him working plot and Tom Defalco writing works really well actually. Nothing groundbreaking but just solid comics.

Ya, I will probably get this first issue, but realistically, with Quitely and Millar working on the same book, we probably won't see issue #10 until 2016.

How is the current Captain America comic? Any good?

I feel like maybe getting into that.

Should I bother getting #1 - #6?

How about Guardians of the Galaxy? Or is it too early to tell as there has only been one issue so far.

Cap is fucking great. I really had no idea what to expect but there's like 5 Frank Miller nods and an FMA reference in there.

Cap is amazing, it's the best book Reminder is currently writing. Get it, get 1-6. Follow it.

I'll check it out. Already get Saga, not really a spaceship book, I'm thinking more like 50 Girls 50. Weird plot. Cheesecake art. Cool retro hard sci fi.

Definitely check out Prophet. Which 50 Girls 50 are you talking about? The recent Frank Cho version, or the original (which coincidentally was just re-released in hardcover format)?
