I think I can see what's going to happening with Superior now, considering that marvel screw up from a few months ago. Love me some 2099.

Also Spider-Man is probably the best dressed hero in comics, dude really has no terrible costumes.

DC fucked up with Static, which is a damn shame. That and they have terrible writers on their teen books. Seriously Trigon again?! Didn't we just have like 3 Trigon stories in the last five years already. :|

So I figured out what was up with Scott Pilgrim on Comixology, customer support emailed me back saying it's region locked so I guess it's not available in the UK. Annoying! I have the black & white editions and wasn't really looking to pay £15 each for the hardcover editions just for the color art. Booooo.

Here's the Infinity cover treatment... looks like the red band is staying.

I'm not too familiar with the character but weren't they planning to do that pre-New52?

Yeah, he was with the Titans for a bit between Final Crisis and New 52.

DC's problem is they too often don't smartly develop characters in the bigger books before trying to give them ongoings. Then they tank and the character gets tossed to the side.

Marvel's covers are beginning to look like the art for GOTY video game rereleases.

And where'd Charles Soule come from? Has anyone read his indie stuff? Jumping on Swamp Thing, Red Lanterns and Thunderbolts in a short time.

Seems to be the norm with indie writers thesedays. get a one good series and then write like 700 books for th big 2.

nick spencer had like 7 different books coming out at one point

Yeah, but I actually heard of that dude before he got snatched up by the big two.

So anyone tried The Eight Seal by James Tynion IV?

Cool stuff! Loved the art.

And did I mention that it's free?

If you liked it you could support the team and grab the digital version at Comixology for just 1 dollar! The art is higher res, and the reading experience is much better since this is was thought as a digital comic from the beginning.

Give it a try guys!

Cool story so far. The art is a bit iffy at times, tho. Postures and angles feel forced for lack of a better word, but those faces are fucking terrifying. Sheesh.

Edit: Oh wow, the artist is a gaffer (!) Don't take this as negative criticism, I actually dig your work :)

Lol, you could never say anything worse than I say about my own work. My art can be very stiff at times but I'm always looking for ways to get better, and I really appreciate your honesty. Thanks for checking it out!

Uggghhh those Infinity banners are ugly. Wy you do that Hickman? Gonna be awful with Marvels shitty paper quality, shit isn't even two ply.

Announce the Inhumans already.

I'd prefer that at this point.

Ock rants and raves the exact same way every issue so it would be nice to get Peter back.

I think he's pretty fun right now. He's still changing, after all.

Probably going to be permanent or until Amazing Spider-Man 2 comes out.

I can't see this being permanent. Peter is way big and important to drop permanently. How long did Superman stay dead again? And Peter has had a history of identity crisis, he'll get over this.

I haven't read comics since I was in high school, but I saw a TMNT comic app on my iPad and said why not.

I ended up dropping $30 in an hour on $2 comics. I had to force myself to stop.

Anyone else reading the new IDW Turtles comic?

Yeah, it's awesome.

You should get the Secret History of the Foot Clan mini too, best stuff to come out of the IDW TMNT.

Went to C2E2 today and got Daredevil #1 and #2 signed by Mark Waid along with #12 (Samnee's debut issue) signed by Waid and Samnee. Those are going into my holy grail pile.

Picked up a Daredevil Essentials covering 1971-1973 on a whim today. Really looking forward to digging into that. Also got the $1 Morning Glories #26. If it's half as incomprehensible as y'all say it is, it will at least be interesting.

Is that the yellow costumed DD?

No, he's in all red by this time. This is the Vol. 4 Essential. I think he just wore the yellow very briefly, but I've never read those early issues.

I worked with him on an Indy anthology a few years back. He's a great guy, hard working, really dedicated. I think he came from a law background. He ended up "breaking in" via Image I think.

He's also writing Ult Comics Ultimates.

Nah Big Baby Failkov is....

For someone who liked Mark Waid's Dr. Strange run and the recent Rocketeer: Cargo of Doom...,

is Indestructible Hulk worth reading? Is anyone liking it?

It's pretty fun. Hulk tried to get his fuck on with a blue atlantean chick, also he's currently wrecking frost giants. Take that as you will.

I was really digging the first few issues, but I've been kind of meh on it lately.

Glad I'm not the only one with that feeling. I really liked the first two issues and stopped after that. Jumped back on with #6, and I really wasn't feeling it as much, though Simonson's art was nice. I'm guessing the rest of the issues up until then kinda lost momentum with Banner's new direction as a character?

Anyone else not digging Guardians of the Galaxy? I want to love it, but it feels kind of hollow to me.

I think that and Cap are getting dropped.

I'm the opposite. The first arc with Yu was pretty underwhelming (esp. compared to Daredevil) but I was really feeling the issue Simonson drew.

Thanks. Ill try out the first trade next month. See how it goes.

How so? I really dig the direction, and his lab assistants are only getting more interesting.

So after that Marvel #1 promotion I finally got around to checking out the first issue of Avengers Arena, holy shit. I'm surprised that they can get away with this sort of thing! I've read Runaways so I know a couple of these characters, but I'm assuming that all these characters have been around before, I can't imagine how they can be put into a battle royale without some big consequences
or a reset at the end
. Pretty interesting that they'd do this. Like the art too.

Book is amazing. Best aspects of LOST but with superpowers and sentinels.

Pie and Beans

Look for me on the local news, I'll be the guy arrested for trying to burn down a Nintendo exec's house.
Yeah, Avengers Arena is some good shit. Its overshadowed the limp return of Young Avengers to like the power of 10. I really hope it doesn't have a lame reset ending.
