Double fuck. I tried to use the app on my nook and it say I had to update it in order to make in app purchases, and when you go to the update it says the update disables google app payments.
I have a google wallet stashed full of googlebucks that I add to monthly so I can afford to buy stuff on comixology sales. I have £37 in there atm because I topped it up on payday and another £25 one I hadn't added to the wallet yet that I was given as a gift by someone who knows I use it a lot, and now in addition to the price increase I gain for living in the UK I'm not going to be able to use the damned money I have set aside for comixology? So what the hell am I meant to spend it on?
I mean, I guess I can spend them on freemium shit in some of the free-to-play games I play but I don't want to :|

There were always going to be teething problems in a big takeover and transition. It's still preferable to long boxes full of floppies and, for me, being able to read comics on the bus without some eejit going "IS THAT A COMIC? THAT'S FOR KIDS! ARE YOU A PEDO?" (this really happened, it was not a pleasant trip).
And you can't buy comics on iOS because Amazon doesn't want to give Apple their 30% cut for in-app purchases.

Can't help but wonder if Apple's arbitrary censorship policies were involved in this decision, too. That was obviously an untenable problem.
I'm sure the money was the biggest factor, but wouldn't be surprised if the censorship problem made it easier to pull the trigger.

reread the first arc of Harbinger and this shit rules. only real complaint is that Faith doesn't feel like an actual person as much as something that just spouts off nerd references. they were on to something good but they go a bit overboard with them

Read the first issue of Batman Beyond 2.0 and just that alone was more interesting and well written than anything Higgins has done with Nightwing. I think I shall continue with this.

Can you not just use your Google money on the standard Marvel and DC apps? I have no idea if they are tied to the Comix app so sorry if this is a stupid question.

I had gone completely digital and have been buying exclusively through Comixology and the iOS app on the whole was a great experience. Completely ruined the app and the whole process. Fuck.

I really enjoyed Spiderman: Family Business. Read it in one nice and relaxed sitting, probably took an hour and fifteen. The experience was similar to watching a solid popcorn flick. Smart dialogue and incredible art. Outside of Peters face looking off in a few pannels, it WAS pretty marvelous. The artists did a great job showing Peter in action with good motion and detail.

I highly suggest you look into the Justice League Beyond as well. As someone who loves Batman Beyond 2.0+, I really, really love that too.
