Green Arrow by Lemire is SO GOOD. I'm halfway through. It is exceeding my expectations. And I'll be done right in time for the Hawkeye reading club, which I'm also very excited about. So much critically acclaimed archery for me to read.

Do they have any comic books about Phil Collins being sent on secret missions to stop the end of the world? I'd read it.

That's Hopeless for ya, granted, Spider Woman redeemed him but wow, that Arena run sucked.

Nah, bruh. Avenger Arena was good comics. It's too bad people get so twisted up about it, because their favorite pet character got hurt or killed (because you know in comics, that shit is permanent) and can't see dat classic YA dystopian struggle into adulthood.
Also Deathlocket is goddamn brilliant.

I've never been so pleased to see and read a Daredevil comic...

I liked Undercover more, Arena was just a big middle finger to Academy/Runaways, yeah killing off Mettle was a dick move. Contest of Champions is doing what Arena did but not fucking it up.

Read the letters section from the guy from Iran.

Cool letter.

Really puts my bitching about not being able to fit enough issues on to my tablet in perspective.

Now that I am once again caught up on everything I actually feel like reading I am going to start doing some re-reads and I am going to start paying more attention to the back matter this time around. Something I have not done much of up to this point.

I got my DCBS order (that they finally decided to ship) of the new Cover Girls Catwoman and the 12" Hipster Batgirl. Really happy with them both.

Meanwhile, Messi still waiting for Bombshell Batwoman.

Future's End wasn't so bad. It was a whole month I saved money by not having to buy any DC books.

Eh on futures end.

Futures End: Batgirl was ass. The assiest even.

It would not piss me off so much if it did not have are really cool idea that is completely WASTED on the book.

Once again I've fallen terribly far behind on my comics backlog. There's just so much to read, and I've been so busy with work.

On the upside, I finally finished issue #3 of my comic book, The Gamma Gals! It's up on Amazon and Indy Planet right now, and it got approved by comixology, so I'm just waiting for them to let me know when it's going to go live. I'll start drawing issue #4 on Monday. It takes me about three months to do the pencilling, inking, coloring, and lettering, so that issue won't be complete until April, but damn does it feel good to have three in the bag finally!

This initial run is just four issues, with issues #5 and #6 being stand alone annuals. Those won't be finished until July and October, respectively. It feels like just yesterday that I was nervously trying to complete a single issue. It's been awesome.

Unfortunately, it's eaten up so much of my free time that I slacked on my comic collection. I'm at least two or three months behind. :(

I've been living vicariously through reading this thread.

Finished GA Deluxe. Ended up reading about 400 pages today. Incredible. Great writing and dialogue, compelling villains, interesting new mythos into the character, and sublime art.

Read all of Zero vol 3, great stuff, moved on to vol 4.

Never buy Kot books. I wonder if Marvel asked Kot to be less Kot on Secret Avengers.

finished vol 4, i'm pretty disappointed and i don't know if i should blame myself for not fully understanding things or Kot for writing something i liked a lot and then no longer enjoyed.

Comics were a mistake and i should not read them.

Read more Valiant stuff up through Harbinger Wars and the first three arcs of Archer and Armstrong, which may just be my new favourite Valiant title. Some of the issues gave me an Incredible Hercules vibe, which is always a plus. It's cool to follow along and see the continuity getting added to layer by layer across the universe, and a lot more manageable too with the smaller number of main titles. I've skipped Shadowman because that was the one title I'd not heard good things about. Next up is the first two arcs of Quantum & Woody.

Island #2 and first story of Island #3 : Way overdue on this. The Daggerproof Mummy was okay in the end, didn't particularly feel it. Similar with Rios' story. Thought the essay at the end of that story was more interesting than the comic itself. Habitat is probably my favourite so far. Similar style to the Prophet relaunch, which I loved, with lovely Roy artwork. Looking forward to more of that. Also liked what Ward and Sheean were doing with Ancestor. Clear parallels to the usage of smartphones and such in society today. Be interested to see where they take it.

Also did a Prophet re-read so I'm now ready for Earth War. Forgot how often they cycle through one bizarre concept after another. Would be interesting to see them return to some of these ideas and explore them in more detail.

Be that as it may, I'm sure this is an isolated incident related to this one item.

I have no problem with the delay. I have a problem with their shit customer service. They were quick to take the money for the statue though. Not once have they contacted me to tell me it was delayed or why it keeps being picked and then un picked.

An isolated incident btw? When did your batgirl and cover girls statues release btw? It was a month or two ago right?

Anyone check out Cry Havoc? I thought it was a pretty compelling first issue. Si also had some "foot notes" for each page in the back of the book, which at first seemed really cool, and then at some point kind of felt a little overindulgent. Pretty interesting that there's 3 separate colorists on the book, one for each "time period" in the story.

December, but my account is set to 4-week shipment cycle.

Regardless even if it is a single incident. Their response has been piss poor over the course of 3 months. Are they seriously trying to make me believe that their stock got damaged and DC might replace that stock and they still don't know 3 months later. Yet their system can't do refunds? I'll just vote with my wallet.

Come on, of course they can do refunds. I got a refund when they prematurely charged me for the Cover Girls Catwoman back in October or November. I just emailed them like "Yo, what's up" and they caught the mistake and refunded me.

Island talk! Yeah, Daggerproof Mummy was ok, meh. I didn't care much for Rios' story either. I hate to admit that I don't love the Multiple Warheads story a lot, either. I just love the wolf and child parts. It's my own fault, though, really. I'm too compulsive for Multiple Warheads. There's so much tiny drawing and printing and I feel the need to read ever bit of it which takes forever and drives me crazy. Having said that, I actually liked the most recent MH instillation. Maybe it is finally growing on me, idk.

I also love Habitat! So great. Ancestor is freaking awesome and probably my favorite multi-parter. Wait til you read the latest chapter! My favorite one shot story is the one of the people at the club with interconnecting stories. I loved that art style and colouring so much I wanted to gauge my own eyes out.

I've only read a few issues of Prophet. I need to properly read it all one of these days.

Gasp I read some comics just now, amg

Last Days of Magneto #19-20 - Mags tries to stop the incursion and its boring as shit. Half is boring flashback stuff and half is Mags fighting off Ultimate Sentinels, in what should have been like 1 issue its being dragged through at least 3 since it continues. Shame because the series was actually quite good.

Last Days of Kamala #16 - This is much better as Kamala tries to deal with the chaos from the incursion. Some funny moments with Loki's protection ward spell, some touching moments with that shitbag inhuman kid she had a crush on, overall a great issue. Art is amazing as usual (when its the main artist)

Each issue he solves the problem by pulling out a full drum kit from his rucksack. It gets a bit boring after a while.

I mean the real problem is that he doesn't really stop villains, he just invites them to sit first row at his concerts and looks at them as he sings a song about the bad shit they did

Hey Messi, did you think of just ordering Bombshell Batwoman from another retailer and having your CC company do a chargeback since you never got her from DCBS?

Nah. I'll likely wait these out and they will eventually cancel it and I'll just leave the statue. The issues with it make it not worth the hassle and I have moved on to other statues. Also running out of space.

i know carol can cause laughter

You have an opinion, I have an opinion.
