You're talking about Saga right?
Anyone else read Spider-Man/Deadpool today? Joe is back!
I find myself really looking forward to some of these Marvel books
The Green Inferno is such an epic pile of shit it makes X-Men 100th special look like great book. I fucking spent $20 on this shit. FML
I legit don't know what The Green Inferno is
Eli Roth joint
Oh, was that the one where people were kidnapped by natives or something?
I don't know what that isAlso, I don't see Giant Days being discussed. I thought we all agreed that book is good comics.
I don't know what that is
It's real good comics.
So doctor strange had some pretty interesting revelations for magic going forward. I never looked at Magic as being a multiversal thing.
Yo Messi is Harleys black book any good?
The Complete Calvin and Hobbes $60 (orig $100) https://www.amazon.com/dp/1449433251/?tag=neogaf0e-20
The reviews for The Far Side looks great and safe to buy, however the ones written for Calvin and Hobbes are great but with flaws. The binder and pages falling out seems to be common issue and for me, as ill be a first time reader, I don't want to be too gentle nor do i want missing pages.
Does anyone know if this minor issue has been fixed recently? The publication date says 2013, but the comments go back as far as 2005. I dont know if they addressed the issue or not. How can I find out?
To be clear, I'm not a comic collector nor a huge fan, I just want to experience the comic in its entirety without the bindings falling apart on me.
I thought the kate only issues were average and the Omnibus is definitely overpriced but I liked the run.So ready to dive back into Hawkeye again. Just need to have my Omnibus delivered to me before I set up the thread. I genuinely hope it catches on, because man what a treat that book was.
Hawkeye, Superior Foes of Spider-Man, and Waid's Daredevil are perfect in my eyes.

What thread are you talking about?

edit: I believe the Green Arrow HC by Jeff has 200 more pages for 1/3 the price so I will definitely pick that baby up this month. I wanna see who had the better archer run
I'll probably join in. I love Hawkguy.
Is that Superior Foes omni still coming? I have yet to read the series but really want to.
I was going by Amazon pricesI have the first OHC, but not the second. I don't know when I'll get that one, so I may participate in the thread for the first half.
I am getting the Green Arrow Lemire deluxe tomorrow. Can't wait. I haven't read Hawkeye by Fraction (besides the first issue) or GA by Lemire. Some great stuff to look forward to.
Also, the Hawkeye omnibus is $100 cover ($55 on instocktrades.com) and the Green Arrow deluxe is $50 cover ($27.50 on instocktrades.com). So it's half the price rather than 1/3rd, and the Hawkeye omnibus has 88 more pages than GA deluxe.
Hawkeye omnibus is UNDOUBTEDLY overpriced, considering you can get the two OHC with the exact same content for a good deal less than the omnibus, but it's not quite as crazy as you thought, haha.
2 Spider-Man/Deadpool codes.
I was going by Amazon prices
Hawkeye is 87 bucks for 552 pages
Green Arrow is 33 bucks for 464 pages
I was just rounding but damn I thought Green arrow had more pages. I don't know why marvel is charging so much for this ombnibus though, probably the only book I felt I didn't get my moneys worth from
Edit: is this reading party the same as the other thread where you guys read stray bullets?
yeah I wish I waited and just bought the two HC and saved myself 30 bucks.Well, regardless, GA deluxe is a good deal, and Hawkeye Omnibus is a bad deal. That's why I'm buying the two oversized-hardcovers. They're the same page size, and the two together are a little under $40 (again, on IST, who is usually far cheaper than Amazon), which is quite a bit more manageable than $55.
2 Spider-Man/Deadpool codes.
redeemed the second one, which is the best one, thanks!
Gove Katie Kate her own ongoing pls.
I'd read that as long as it had a different art style than the Hawkeye books.
Freeza! Did you read G Willows letter at the end of AForce? Kelly Thompson is the co-writer starting with #2! Yay so good.
For future reference, "Pakistanian" is neither a language, nor a word.
Come on, DC. It's like a two second google search...
Which one was she again? Jem and one of those Carol books?
Oh man, that's just embarrassing.
War of Kings is making me really not like the Inhumans.
Crystal is ok tho
Not an Annie Wu fan? I thought it fit perfectly.
Totally Awesome Hulk #2 still awesome. Chos art is lovely
Btw, my Batwoman bombshell statue went from picked to out of stock again today on dcbs. It's ok I didn't want the statue or need the money. It's only been 2-3 months.
The newer comments might be for the paperback collection. The HC collection came out in 2005. I own the HC (I was actually reading it again during the holidays) and I didn't see any of the binding issues some of the reviews have mentioned.
Oh man, you're in for a treat. Calvin and Hobbes aged so well, I think it's even better to read as an adult. Makes me feel nostalgia and wonder when I read it now, even though I missed most of it growing up.
I have the complete C&H and haven't had any problems. I think the packaging is great!
To clarify, I have the paperback editions.
I have the paperback Calvin & Hobbes collection and I haven't experienced any issues with the binding.
I'm a huge fan of C&H. Even before I was a "comic" reader, I loved C&H and had several trade paperback collections. I still need the complete collection and hope to get it someday.
Anyway, the negative reviews about the complete collection are, a) a TINY percentage of the overall reviews, and b) regarding the hardcover version. You've linked to the paperback, which, as far as I can tell, doesn't have the issue. I mean, really the hardcover doesn't have an issue either really when you consider that the complaints about it are only 1-2% of the reviews.
