I named my xenoblade x character Jen instead of Harley, so many regrets.

I am so disappointed in you right now.

Black Canary and Zatanna: Bloodspell was simply WONDERFUL. Fun, wonderful artwork and facial expressions, and silly hijinks.

What a great little graphic novel.

Fantastic book, truly magic. Dini and Quinones need to work together again.

How about that page where Zatanna plays with the green arrow and canary dolls :p

I went from Jen to Harlequin to Harley and then back to Jen with a heaping of regret. I don't want to start over...even though i'm only 40 minutes in. Those were a long 40 minutes. I thought i was making her really tall and went she-hulky but i think they start the character off as kid height so i'm just regularly tall.

Also Bloodspell is the best.

This may seem kind of lame, but I bought this today after work because I'm a HUGE Pixar fan and didn't know it existed:
IMAG0312.jpg

It has comic adaptations of every Pixar movie (up until Monsters University), with art done by actual Disney artists. It's smaller in dimension than a standard trade but it's not tiny, and it has more newsprint style paper, but it's adequate, and it was only $15 for over 800 pages, soo...

Here's a look at a few pages:

At first glance, I really like the art in most of these.

Silk: Tara Ford's art does not fit with the book at all.

Haven't read yet, but I am so disappointed to see that Stacey Lee didn't draw it. I friggin love her art style. First time I read a Silk (before the issue restart) that didn't have her art, I immediately went online to find out what was up, lol

Anywho, read MMPR #0... I liked it, but it was too short. Could have done without the post-issue extra stories.

That looks really cool

That was Tana Ford too. Stacey Lee is back soon.

That actually looks really great. Where'd you but it?

It was at Walmart. I work there and just happened to see it while I was looking at books today.

I love that they all have different art styles, and they didn't just take an easy way out with barebones panel layouts and stuff. It genuinely looks pretty awesome.

I just looked it up online. It's listed as "Volume 1", so hopefully there'll be more with the newer releases.

This reminds me, did anyone read the little mermaid series by Peter David? I would love to see that get collected in a trade. I remember liking it.

That would be great. I'm reading the first comic right now which is Toy Story 1 (each story is about 50 or so pages), and it's quite good. I worried that the plotting and panel design wouldn't convey the story properly or be presented in such a way that you wouldn't fully understand what's going on if you hadn't seen the movie, but they've done a nice job. It FEELS like a comic book story even if it's the same plot as the movie, if that makes any sense.

Sigh, I didn't win the Powerball...

This week I picked up:
Gotham Academy
Starfire
All of Elektra: Assassin

I'll grab the Humble Bundle this weekend. Cheap way to stock up on Stray Bullets and I get to check out Invincible so I'm thrilled! It also comes with Wolf volume 1, but Kot hasn't joined us yet so I don't know if it's worth my time. Hm.

About to read Convergence, to continue the Earth 2 storyline. I've heard the event is rather average, so we'll see how this goes.
I don't think asking a new poster a bunch of questions to see if their interests align with yours is a great way to welcome someone imo. It only serves as a running inside joke for us and is unlikely to do much for the new poster.

With that said:

Welcome, Enchanter, hope you enjoy it here.
I'll do what I want
Also, All New Hawkeye 3

So all the Old Man Clint vs. Adult Kate shit was pointless?
This sentence makes me not regret dropping the book. I already didn't, but this most certainly helps.
It's a Superman book for people that don't like Superman or Clark Kent.
Except Landis loves everything about Superman, so that doesn't make sense...
So I just read the Decalogue story arc in Bendis Daredevil. What the shit at that baby??
Are you referring to the whole
demon possession thing? Because that was actually one of my favorite arcs.
Secret Six Vol. 2 was absolutely astonishing. Oh my goodness. Wow.

Going to read this adorable little Black Canary and Zatanna: Bloodspell graphic novel, now.
Aren't you a good decision machine today
Just bought my Powerball ticket. After I win I'm going to buy you all a Greg Land print of your choice!
So you're just gonna buy us porn?

Anyone got Recommendations for what I should read on Marvel Unlimited?

You should keep me company by reading the entire Marvel Reading Order ;)

Maybe it's my freshly acquired Dad Vision, but I think this is pretty damn cool.

I'd name them all Cyplops! HA! Sorry, BK :(

How was ANAD Avengers this week? I dropped off after #2, but everyone pointing their weapons at Nova on the cover makes me want to read it, even at the small glimmer of hope he finally stops being a prat.

Gotham Academy #14 was totes adorbz. A collection of little short stories with different artists, with the framing device of Olive and Maps putting together a scrapbook for the year (since apparently the school doesn't actually have a yearbook club).

Would heartily recommend.

Reading Superman American Alien....it's really good.

Buuuuut it got me thinking...is there a major character from DC/Marvel that's probably suited to the shorter form/one off stories (All Star Superman etc) than Superman himself?
