Yeah I hate that new 52 origin but what can you do. They have also shown pictures of her as Jokers therapist so maybe we shouldnt jump to conclusions.

Also, my god look at this scantily clad lady.

So Perlman is writing the Cap Marvel movie and whatever the deal is with Labyrinth, I assume the Gamora comic is cooked already. .

I don't agree with her statement that Harley CHOSE to be a villain of her own will. Did she forget that Joker psychologically got her to make that decision?

You also gotta love that salt thrown at the Batman games. lol I always knew Arkham fans and comic fans were at war each other.

ughhhhhhhhhhhh i want this so much

knowing DC they'd put him on and then have like Brett Booth draw it
You say that like it's a bad thing.

If Remender wasn't doing Deadly Class I would like to see Wes Craig on art.

Dr. Harleen Quinzel went into psychiatry in part to discover why her abusive, con man father did the things she did. The Joker used her past and her personality against her to garner sympathy and admiration. It’s a classic case of an abuser grooming his mark, luring her in an subtlety testing the boundaries to see what she’ll tolerate. Over time, the ante is upped until you have the Joker LITERALLY trying to kill his girlfriend.

This doesn’t mean Harley Quinn is a pushover. She chooses to become a supervillain. And there’s the rub. She CHOOSES it.
It isn’t foisted on her against her will. Harley’s smart and tough, yet vulnerable and damaged. Yes, Harley’s relationship with the Joker is abusive. Part of her relatability is her dichotomy of being a bad ass and making terrible choices.

Except for the part where Joker grooms her and pushes her towards being a supervillian?

It seems pretty clear that the author is treating those as two distinct ideas, that yes Joker lured her into an abusive relationship, but she then chose to become a Supervillain.

Which is kind of bollocks, frankly. Harley Quinn is not, and has never been, a particularly good symbol of female empowerment. She's a psychiatrist who gets manipulated into a relationship with her patient (already on SUPER FUCKING SKETCHY ground there, that doesn't get talked about enough), and then broken to the point where she becomes a supervillain, because in fiction torture makes you evil.

Cho is never gonna let this go is he?

Not until people stop throwing money and attention at him over it, no.

Look at the money that thing is selling for...and now you know why he keeps doing it.

I agree with all of this.

I see in the most recent solicits he isn't doing the art for Hulk. That book has already had delays for each issue. Maybe if Cho put more time into his comic work and less time into try to rile up fanbases he might finish an issue on time.

That ass isn't phat enough. Your better than this Cho.

Correct me if wrong but she was never a good psychiatrist right? Didn't she basically have sex with her professors to get good grades?

ftfy

That was a Mad Love thing, right? Doesn't necessarily have any bearing on her N52 character, unless I'm forgetting something.

Whats the story behind that Cho stuff?

I do like that art, not gonna lie.

He drew a hyper sexualized Spider-Gwen and then Robbi Rodriguez wanted to fight him or something?

And then Bleeding Cool posts everything he does ensuring it will never go away

He drew cheesecake art but no one was pissed, then he did a Spider WOman cover and people flipped out.

That's not Cho.

What happened is, that cover sparked a firestorm (artist is some kind of porno artist or something?), and Cho latched onto the controversy with a bunch of stuff, and is still pretty much riding that high.

Didn't Robbi Rodriguez wanna fight him over a Spider-Gwen thing? I swear I read that in one of the threads

Yeah, that happened.

This whole thing is dumb as hell tbh

That's the manara cover. He parodied it to piss people off.

That's not even a quarter of them. He seriously can't let it go.

It was Milo, dammit but actually, why the fuck is Cho still being a prick about this? The Controversy creates cash model?

Well that Thor cover posted earlier is about to sell for $1000+ so...

Cho isn't holding a grudge(or at least I don't think so), he just likes money.

Frank Cho 'pushes the envelope' like Saga is 'shocking'

Basically, I'd expect a 12 year old to create what he creates and think its funny not some grown ass dude.

The worst part about Cho is that he could be a legit good erotica artist but instead he makes 'sexy' drawings that are vapid, insipid and boring no matter how fundamentally sound and skilled of an artist he is.

How about we talk about Michael Cho instead? Here's an amazing piece. Very Darwyn Cooke-esque

Tatsu looks so fucking BALLIN'.

This may be the best look she has sported in...well EVER.

As for Harley, I am not a huge fan of the look, but I will freely admit that 'sexy' suits the character.
