I liked Thanos Quest about 100 times more than I liked the actual Infinity Gauntlet event.
Is the Samurai Jack comic just picking up where the show left off? I watched it all the time but I don't really remember the order of things or anything.
It's absolutely fantastic.Anyone check out Lazarus yet? Any personal opinions about it?

Unless I'm mistaken, it's just the Justice League books -JL, JLA, JLD. I don't think there are any tie-ins.
-Second, I have not received anything from anyone on a potential "Bullhorn" segment in months. And, unless someone speaks up now, I'm just going to retire the concept from the OT until someone comes up with a better one. The idea of honoring Bandit's way of doing the OTs while still doing my own was a nice one, but it doesn't seem to have taken off.
started reading immortal iron fist. It's hard to believe the art is done by the same guy that does Hawkguy. except bandaged rand... he looks exactly like bandaged hawkguy.
So on CBR Marvel said a completely new character will begetting an ongoing. Wut.

This is an awesome, awesome series so far.
Would Angela be "new"?
who the fuck wanted this character
No one. I'm not sure why Marvel even bothered buying the character. Spawn sold 16k issues last month. People stopped caring 10 years ago.
What about Youngblood, is that still a thing that exists

It's as good as you would expect a Rucka/Lark collaboration would be.Anyone check out Lazarus yet? Any personal opinions about it?

Keeping up my trend of reading and talking about stuff you have read years ago/talked about to death. I started reading Y the last man. Its good, I think. I read half of the first volume.
What's it about?
I love that series. So much so that I bought the deluxe hardcovers. ALL OF THEM.
I just checked, there are 10 volumes of that....holy shit.
So I read the most recent issue of Ultimate Comics: The Ultimates. I hadn't read this series since issue 8 but it seems like it has gone of the deep end.
Paul Smith still draws comics? I thought he disappeared in some tragic black hole after the '80s
Rucka's first two arcs were enjoyable, the rest didn't do much for me.
Speaking of vintage comic characters...
What did everyone think of the Rocketeer/Spirit crossover?
Gals and guys, three things before I head out:
-First, the last day of the month of July falls on a Wednesday, which as you all know is New Comics Day. Sooooo... when do you want me to post the August OT? That Thursday, and everyone moves their discussion of their 7/31 pickups into the August thread? Or wait until Monday the 5th to post it, and everyone starts off clean, talking about August books they're looking forward to?

The idea of honoring Bandit's way of doing the OTs while still doing my own was a nice one, but it doesn't seem to have taken off.
-Third, another gentle reminder: I AM NOT MAKING THE SEPTEMBER THREAD. I've got firm plans around Labor Day, so I'll be taking a break and will resume making the OT in October.
