Yeah I wasn't sure how it would be after Johns left but Parker has been consistently enjoyable on it. The class reunion issue is still probably the best but the rest haven't been too far behind.

Hey, always just a personal opinion man, absolutely going to be a different experience for each individual, and I value your opinion, it just goes to show how people can go different ways on the same material. I just didn't think his strength with the characters came across nearly as well. They were all fairly entertaining plot-wise but I couldn't really feel myself becoming attached to any of the characters, and ultimately didn't feel like stories I would bother reading again. I think it's worth adding for context though, that a) these were by no means bad books, just imo not on the level of his original material (and this perhaps made me judge them harsher) and b) I expect a lot from a superhero book to keep on it, just because I already struggle to fit in what I want to read. I literally only have 3 that I'm following regularly right now, and that is in no way an insinuation that I think there are only three good superhero books out there.

I really feel the art has grown issue to issue also. The colors pop more, Pauls details are better. Parker really gets the character. Mera is awesome and as a married couple, they are awesome.

Hahah, oh yes man ,that should be mentioned; Ponticelli is GLORIOUS on Frankenstein, his range is amazing if you consider that and Unknown Soldier. I had no idea he was doing some FBP.

I have a feeling some might label it too house style but yeah, the detail in the panels is pretty impressive, anyone working on an Aquaman book has a higher effort per page count quotient, I feel like.
I really like the design for Chimera. It may be a little typical sea monster, but that attention to details, and the creepy factor is just sublime.
Those two guards faces. Ughnngghh.
And yeah, when you have a power couple who are on equal levels you can do some impressive storytelling without sacrificing either of the characters. It's when the power structure is so different that I feel problems arise; Aquaman/Mera is so much easier to work with than Superman/Lois or Spiderman/MJ

Cost of a drawing tablet is going to be based on the size of the tablet, how pressure sensitive it is, and how accurate it is.

That one is great man, by Dysart as well isn't it? Always hoped he'd come back and do more. I love how that book starts out as an out and out creepy read then just devolves into madness. Tempted to read Outcast after the impression Azaceta left on me with that book, but Kirkman, unsure.
Have you went further with the 40s books? I really liked 47, like alot, then I enjoooyed 48 but it takes quite a tangent from

Absolutely, I think there's a couple problems there. If I recall he was kind of using it as a voice for his Expanding Earth crazymadeupsciencebullshit. Plus he's surrounded by people who basically just feed his ego. He's working on so many projects at once too, probably doesn't help.
Dude is still a fantastic artist, but crazy, BAT SHIT fucking crazy.
Where did you find Chris Burnham? I'm thinking I want a sketch from him the next time he's at a con that I'm attending.

Oh, yes! I'm so excited for Black Hammer. The premise sounds brilliant.
I got this one (which I did a bit of researching on, and supposedly it's much better than the sub-$100 Wacoms) for $40 from Amazon Warehouse, and it's in perfect condition, so that was a total steal. Even new from Amazon it's only $45 though. It's totally worth it. It's everything you could possibly need and it's a much bigger surface area than the cheaper Wacoms.

I mostly just really don't want to drive to LA.
Also, just checking out the LBCC ticket prices and noticed that you can get a Professional Pass to get into the Con for free if you have a "web comic with your name in the credits." Hehehe...
But in all seriousness, not sure what I was expecting the prices to be, but $20 for a Sunday pass is super cheap.

Oh the book is completely bat shit insane, especially with all the underworld stuff and mind boggling inane dialog. However, KoruptData is probably the biggest (or at least most vocal) Bat fan here and I'd love to see his impressions of it. Hell, he found redeeming qualities in the steaming pile that is All-Star Batman.
So, finally, I finished Locke & Key. Now I am kinda sad. In that short timespan I grew really fond of/attached to those characters and the world they inhabit. Is there any talk of more L&K? There are so many more stories to be told I guess.
