Some thoughts on books:
Rocket Raccoon A fun one and done story told by Groot. I couldn't handle it on a long term basis, but it was a fun gimmick for a one off
God Hates Astronauts I love this book so much, it's crude and ridiculous and pretty much everything I could want from a humor comic. I maintain that Browne does the best sound effects in the biz. This issue had some back story on the
family juxtaposed with the impending invasion of Earth. The Impossible backups in the last two issues have been a fun addition to the book.
Justice League 3000 Another month of Giffen and DeMatteis doing their thing and Porter providing some of the most detailed art in a big two book, dude has come along way since his JLA days and fucking up his hand. I kinda wish the last page reveal hadn't been spoiled by solicits, but it is what it is (and it's great)
Tiny Titans And thus ends the Return to the Treehouse mini. I could have sworn this was announced as coming back as an ongoing but I guess DC had other plans.
Terrible Lizard the first issue of what I believe is a mini. It's the heartfelt tale of a girl and her T-Rex by Cullen Bunn. A good first issue, I'll be back for issue two at the very least.
Tooth & Claw God damn this was good and will probably be the best comic I read this month. Magical animal people in a crazy fantasy world? Count me in! In Busiek, Dewey, and Bellaire I trust!
