Same here. I can relate so much to her. I really hope Marvel makes movie with her in phase four.

I'd be down with Marvel shoe-horning her into a small role (even just a cameo) in Inhumans and then giving her an early Phase 4 movie.

At the same time, I wouldn't mind them waiting until we have over 50 issues of her solo series before picking an arc that would work for the movie.

edit - Since I'm at the top of a new page, I'd like to remind everyone that our new IRC channel is active for your off-topic needs! Come join us and hang out for a while. :)

Same here, I was just thinking that she could be in Inhumans. I also hope her series goes past 50 issues. My favorite comic series, and my favorite superhero by far.

It has already been explained that everyone on the island was inverted.

Yes but show us what the thinking is internally. What is tony trying to accomplish. What is cap trying to accomplish. WHY are they doing this. We know HOW it's happening, yes, but WHY are they taking these specific steps.

IT HAPPENED FINALLY. Terry is officially in over his head and the worst possible outcome happened: he ran into OG Batman. Let's count Terry's screwups:

Should've destroyed any trace of the robot that came with him in the first place.
Thought breaking into Terrifictech so soon was a great idea.
Fought Mr. Terrific and got exposed.
Should've killed his accomplices in the first place.
Needs to recognize that ALFRED AI is either Braniac or Brother Eye.
Ran into Batman

The story is finally moving forward. Lois Lane parachutes into Cadmus Island while Red Robin leaves to search for his ex and Terry meets Batman for the first time. If there's a point in history where Brother Eye won it's clearly Tim Drake going to save his ex instead of going to Cadmus Island.

Really light week. Only like 5 books total.

I didn't pick up a single Marvel title this week. That hasn't happened in a while.

I read Axis tonight, thought it was better than the other three issues at least. Was kind of fun. But Kluh is ridiculous.

Although I did realise that continuity is completely screwed, shouldn't Tony be hunted at this point? Cap was still young in Avengers when he declared war on the Illuminati, and here they are now and nobody is mentioning it. But whatever.

there are two parallels right now.. the present & the supposed 8 month time skip.

Iron Man is getting an ongoing based on his current actions so I'm sure they're going to to expand on it in the coming issues, and the Avengers are just trying to take control by any means necessary even if it means going through the X-men and Shield.

I'm just starting to read Death of Wolverine. Question:

When did Logan lost his healing factor - anyone can point me to the appropriate series where it happens?

I get that but it still doesn't fit. In Avengers, it ended before the skip with Young Cap telling the others that the Illuminati had reformed and that they were going to fuck them up. This means that anything involving FalCap (and Unworthy Thor) should be taking place at the time when the Illuminati are wanted, it's in the time skip between Avengers 34 and 35.

It's not like it matters that much I guess, but it just struck me as a bit clumsy when I was reading it tonight.

That and I don't know what is going on with Hulk at all. What is Doc Green? Why was Hulk dumb in axis when he's been smarter recently as Hulk. One of the reasons I never care for the character, they're always messing with his status quo.

The past two Wolverine series both by Paul Cornell deal with that, they are twelve issues each I think.

So, I'm not entirely sure exactly where Axis takes place time-wise, so I can't answer most of this...

But Doc Green, I can answer! So, basically, Banner got shot in the back of the head, suffered enormous brain damage and Tony Stark injected him with Extremis to fix it. Later on, Banner found out that Tony Stark mucked about with his gamma bomb right before the test that originally turned him into the Hulk, got super pissed about it and tweaked the Extremis virus so that the Hulk would be smart enough to take Tony on. This all turned out to be a misunderstanding, of course, but the Hulk stayed smart and got full control of the body.

This is my reading, anyways.

Avengers happens before and during this whole deal. For most of it, Banner was still working with SHIELD, but in the last two issues or so, he was replaced with Doc Green. I'm going to guess that Axis takes place after something happens that gets rid of Doc Green or before or I dunno. I have no idea. It's probably not in the current timeline.

I circumvented this issue by not giving a shit about Axis.

Gotham Academy 2.

First off, it was fantastic. Wow, Cloonan and Fletcher are really good at making an engaging story with great dialog. The art is fantastic. What is so great about this book is, it would great without being attached to Gotham. Being set in Gotham just adds a fun later to the whole thing. Might be one of my favorite DC books after only 2 issues.

Batman vs Batman Beyond - don't fuck this up writers!

I thought Lois was going to the cordinates which would be Green Arrow Island? We're at the halfway mark and it will be fun to see how this leads into Convergence.

Finishing up my Archie comics stack, I read through the 7th Mega Man trade last night. And it was... okay. I don't know, maybe it was the drag from how long the Ra Moon thing was going on, and that it just kind of ended up going "nope, just straight up generic evil," then there was the way the Robot Masters from 3 didn't get to make much of a proper appearance. But yeah, a little flat and didn't catch me as well as the rest of the series has in the past.

Whenever I can manage to get rid of this massive headache currently afflicting me I'll start off Hellboy with the first Library Edition, but I'm not 100% that'll happen tonight.

Thank you for posting this... I forgot to add it to my pull list! I hope they have a spare issue when I go to my shop tonight.

Which do you like more at the moment, Gotham Academy or Arkham Manor? These and Gotham by Midnight have me very hopeful for the future of Bat-Books.

So early in but I like GA more for the childlike adventure the book has.

Clearly, I'm wrong and do yourself a favor and stop reading solicitations in case you don't want to be spoiled.

What are your thoughts on the end of Futures End 23 with the Brother Eye foreshadowing? It foreshadows everything that could happen over the next 17 issues. Watch this turn into the Days of the Future Past universe.

If the end of this series doesn't end with a complete retcon of the dark future explained in issue 0 then I quit all future DC crossovers. Is there any chance of a Batman Beyond origins series?

Arkham manor is pretty dumb in concept, but it's definitely the fun and awesome kind of dumb.

finished We3 that I picked up during the CMX sale. damn, that shit is hardcore.
Were tears shed, homie?

Some thoughts on books:

Rocket Raccoon A fun one and done story told by Groot. I couldn't handle it on a long term basis, but it was a fun gimmick for a one off

God Hates Astronauts I love this book so much, it's crude and ridiculous and pretty much everything I could want from a humor comic. I maintain that Browne does the best sound effects in the biz. This issue had some back story on the
Royal Tiger doing things
family juxtaposed with the impending invasion of Earth. The Impossible backups in the last two issues have been a fun addition to the book.

Justice League 3000 Another month of Giffen and DeMatteis doing their thing and Porter providing some of the most detailed art in a big two book, dude has come along way since his JLA days and fucking up his hand. I kinda wish the last page reveal hadn't been spoiled by solicits, but it is what it is (and it's great)

Tiny Titans And thus ends the Return to the Treehouse mini. I could have sworn this was announced as coming back as an ongoing but I guess DC had other plans.

Terrible Lizard the first issue of what I believe is a mini. It's the heartfelt tale of a girl and her T-Rex by Cullen Bunn. A good first issue, I'll be back for issue two at the very least.

Tooth & Claw God damn this was good and will probably be the best comic I read this month. Magical animal people in a crazy fantasy world? Count me in! In Busiek, Dewey, and Bellaire I trust!

Finish it. Be strong

Alright Korrupt, GH and others. CMX discounts for DC books is now moving into the future end tie end books. Besides Grayson what other books are worth picking up?

Batgirl if you are into Gail Simone finishing her run on Batgirl. It was an amazing issue and made me quite emotional.

I guess Harley was alright.
