Not Dubai?
But I want a Planet of the Apes remake there one day after the city sinks with a giant statue used ala the Statue of Liberty in the original.
I'm confused, I can't figure this out. If those distances are accurate then the numbers on the bottom are a lie.
Needs more Angel of the North.
the education system havn't instituted it.
The thing that gets me is how the Statue of Liberty sneaks out of last place thanks to its huge pedestal.
Might as well put Christ the Redeemer in first considering he's located at the top of a 700 meter tall mountain.
Needs more Angel of the North.
None of those ain't got shit on these
I wonder how tall those would be in real life?

The Colossus of Rhodes was the coolest.

Someone need to make this. Giant statues are awesome
Needs more Angel of the North.
Genghis Khan's statue in Mongolia is also pretty impressive.
I wonder when we will get a giant statue of Hitler.
The total cost of the statue is estimated at 25 billion rupees ($300 million) and will be funded with public funds and private donations.
Don't get why people are calling it ugly. It's commemorating an old, bald man
Old bald men are ugly. This statue is hideous. Making it absurdly huge just makes it worse.
They should use that money to clean up their stinky ass country. At least fish out the dead bodies from their rivers and beaches.
I'm not sure who you'd want them to commemorate, though?
Winston Churchill wasn't exactly a looker either, and yet:

And yet here's an ugly statue of him? I prefer statues that are beautiful and celebrate ideals, not people.

And yet there are statues of him everywhere. Ugly people do things worth commemorating. Shocker.
