I should buy it then, 3 million people can't be wrong
EDIT: Yay, that's also the 3 millionth thread on Crimeson Desert
Thats amazing news, it means those initial 2m sold copies announcement wasnt just one and done, 3m sales makes game definitely already profitable, maybe not huge success yet, that will defo come with future 4 and 5m sold copies achievments which are almost certain at this point![]()
Yeah, they can start with the DLC's now!It probably means the game already made 210$ million in revenue. Take 30% for the platform holders, and that leaves 150 Million.
So it's likely the game has already covered it's cost of development and is already generating profits.
Welpalso, CRIMEson ? lol
The game budget should be 220 mil.It probably means the game already made 210$ million in revenue. Take 30% for the platform holders, and that leaves 150 Million.

Okay make half the crew bugfixing and polishing and the other half start with the DLC's...mkay?I think they still need to spend a couple of months polishing and fixing bugs.
They hit that hype just right huh. It's all timing and a little bit of luck can make even the most mediocre game sell a lot.
We are grateful to share Crimson Desert has sold through 3 million copies worldwide. To everyone who has stepped into Pywel and shared this journey with us, thank you. Your feedback continues to help shape the experience, and we will keep working to make the journey ahead even more enjoyable for our players.
Hmmm that's 4 million a year since release in 2011. Crimsin Desert needs to sell another 1 million this year.Doesn't matter because skyrim sold 60 million.
It's not about copies sold, it's about the engagement in the Marathon CCU thread.this is VERY NICE for first game from an unknown developer. Sony would love to see Marathon sold 3 million in 3 days
Should be done next weekend.Crimsin Desert needs to sell another 1 million this year.
Seems like judging a 100 hour game by the first two hours was a mistake

So, game gets decent reviews/scores and the shares...drop? Now game gets amazing first week sales and shares...?
I clearly don't understand stock market logic
Apparently, I don't get it. I'm happy for people that do though. The game always looked like "throw spaghetti at the wall" the game. Which I guess is pretty accurate with those "previous employees" coming out basically saying random things were being added that didn't even make sense all through development, lol. "Hey, we like that, we add that." Without any of it being cohesive with other gameplay decisions, mechanics, etc. They hit that hype just right huh. Quit buying trash
Its a better game than Dragons Dogma 2. Make of that what you will.Apparently, I don't get it. I'm happy for people that do though. The game always looked like "throw spaghetti at the wall" the game. I may eventually check it out due to curiosity when it drops in price in the far future, but personally I can't imagine paying full price plus for a title like this.

I got absolutely nothing out of DD2, lol. So, for me, anything is better than DD2. So, I believe it, but for me that probably isn't saying much either, lol.Its a better game than Dragons Dogma 2. Make of that what you will.
I'll likely give it a shot when it goes on sale, I haven't completely written it off, and that won't change. You have to play this man, the game is worth the launch price a 100%. One thing is the impressions you get when watching some gameplay in youtube, another is to experience the game yourself. Trust me this game is good
