Then you would agree that hearing the soundscape in Dolby Atmos is something that you wouldn't want to roll back from👍

It's a game-changing audio format💯

Yea I can't imagine going back now. Obviously the overall sound quality is better, but it adds little nuances that sometimes makes you forget you're listening to a game. I grew up in the city, it's eerie how accurate the sound engineers designed this - the way sounds from far off sometimes seem to bounce around when you pass an alley, that kind of thing.

For all of the weird eurojank CDPR baked into this (which I am sure they'll patch out like they did with The Witcher 3) it seems like they nailed the audio on the first try.

Played some more last night. Went around doing a couple little side quests and breaking up some crimes. I'm definitely having a great time. It's basically scratching the itch that a hypothetical third Deus Ex game would have taken care of if it existed.

The Delamain side quests are delightful! I gotta say I've spent about 7 hours straight just exploring Night City and not doing any main story content, just so enthralled with this glorious open world and the rich atmosphere it contains.

My joint GOTY alongside GoT so far.
It was my favorite sideauest when I did it too. So many references and just plain silliness in it.

Has anyone else had trouble entering the club to begin the mission "automatic love"? The girls at the front don't greet me and the doors won't open. I've tried quitting :(

Played another 2 hours or so last night. This is amazing! And I can totally play at preset Ultra on my 3800x+1080ti rig, looks absolutely gorgeous. Can’t even imagine how awesome it must look on the RTX cards.

Immersion breaking bug. I chose to not have a big ol schlong showing when I created the character, just boxer shorts. But somehow the boxers didn’t make it into the actual game, so when backing away from my first look into the mirror at the apartment it showed me a long haired gruffy bearded guy with what at first sight looked like a pussy 😆
I was obviously naked when reaching the appartment, hadn’t checked the inventory until then. Was I actually walking around naked until that time??

In reality, it's fucking great. I'm surprised how much I'm liking is so far.

Despite the performance on the pro I am loving this game man.

Created a transgender car and I love the game for giving me that option.. not a trans myself btw.. but I am all for mixing and blending!!

This game goes deep man.. I really like that it’s a game that threats you us an adult and is not scared to go to places.

Still at the beginning and going to take my sweet time with it.. but so far it’s much more up my alley the Witcher

Does DLSS look better in some games than others? I'm using auto and I'm in a car chase sequence. It looks really good. Like really really good. All other games I've played with DLSS always look really bad with it on.

Has to be between 6 pm and 6 am. Look at your clock and hit start and go to rest or wait time or what ever it says to fast forward the clock.

Has there been a patch on XSX? It looks sharper and feels a lot smoother? Or is it just me lol
There was a patch earlier today. It was the same kne from PC and PS4 yesterday.

if you hit start on the game from Xbox home and go to manage game it should tell you it’s v1.0.4

Edit: Saw you posted confirmation as I typed this.

Btw that jazz radio channel is the best!!! Hearing Trane while driving through a dystopian neon city in the year 2077 is surreal.. also the full album of Miles Davis- Bitches Brew? That is amazing..

Something that I think can go unnoticed in games like this is the "in-game economy".
In games like this it can be easy to accumulate so much wealth that buying items becomes trivial and meaningless.

Thankfully, I think CD Projekt Red (through 30 hours) nailed it. I find myself scrimping and saving to try and buy things that I really want, and already have my eyes on my next purchase.

DISCLAIMER: It is possible I have missed some kind of obvious money making opportunities, and this praise is unwarranted, but again, as of 30 hours in, I am really pleased.

Ok story took some wild turns just now! One very dad moment. Now I’m like just grinning from ear to ear. Love how they did the story in this, it is a classic cyberpunk style story. This game rules.

Also can we talk about how snappy and arcadey this game is at times? Love the on rails shooting sequences they always tend to be big neon blown out Bloos Dragon style setpieces.

I don't think it goes unnoticed. I just think no one makes a big stink about it.

In some games I sometimes actually hold back on buying upgrades and things so the game doesn't become too easy too fast.

Yeah I spent all my cash to pay back Vik and then the next mission I needed some.

Then after doing a bunch of side missions i spent a bunch of cash on implants and then the next mission I needed more. FML I always choose to spend at the worst time. 😅

Has a big AAA title ever made up the costs of development just from preorders? Incredible feat. 8 million+ sales before release.

I bought the auto dismantle junk items as one of my first perks. The less inventory management the better.
Yeah, that should speed things up. Though there are some rare junk items like jewelry that should be sold as they sell for 700-800 eddies.
But I guess it comes down to convenience vs optimization?

Lol. I bought it at lvl 3 and I don’t think I can untick it, so I guess I’ll have to miss out.

Not sure if I saw it mentioned here or not but Dolby Atmos for headphones is free on Xbox this weekend. Download the app and set it up, sounds great in this game.
The atmos is this game is fantastic. Just Installed some ceiling speakers last week in preparation.

Walking around the city and hearing the loudspeaker announcements and flying vehicles above your head is so cool.

In reality, it's fucking great. I'm surprised how much I'm liking is so far.
I had a corpse get wedged under something that I really wanted to loot but couldn't reach, so I started throwing grenades at it to try and knock it clear. Didn't work, and by the time I was done all that was left was a torso. No arms, legs, or head. Lol

Edit: Can I also just say that the diversity of NPCs and their outfits just blows my mind? Like, sometimes you see duplicates, but the vast majority of the people I see out and about are crazy diverse in their body sizes, hair styles, clothing, makeup, and augments. It's freaking nuts.

the subreddit is non stop comparing everything to gta and they barely focus on the story experience and what you go true when following the main quest line or doing side quests. They are more worried about AI, open world stuff etc
Imagine spending more time moaning Into the void of the internet than actually playing a game.

Think about that whenever you read people's "opinions" online. Do you want a person like that's opinion? Personally I'd rather be playing games.

Yes it is completely normal. I wish there was a toggle widget for HDR on the Home Screen. I have to change mine all the time.
That's so crazy that there isn't! I've tried shortcutting to desktop but doesn't seem to work either- just manual search avail I guess.

I wish the photo mode had a free camera like the recent Assassin's Creed games. Just having fixed angles via the drone, or tied to the first person view is very limiting. Hope they update this in the future.

Hacking these dudes is so much fun.

Another fellow hacker seeing why playing netrunner is so fun. If you specialize further you can literally get to the point where you don't need to fire a single bullet, at all.

In fact, you can sit OUTSIDE of where you need to be, hack all the initial security outside and take em out... hack a camera, take control... then switch between all the cameras and kill everyone in the entire building with hacks. Then disable all the security and finally walk in like you own the place, uncontested, take whatever you want, and walk out... don't even have to draw your weapon.

Makes you feel like a very literal fucking wizard.

I saw a person say the game is better if you mainline the main quest..... this one of the worst takes I seen. The side-quests in this game can be showcase levels for other games.

Yeah there is so much you can miss, but only playing the story missions. They should call that the reviewers run and give you the shittiest ending ever.

Just a thanks for playing title screen when you kill the boss.

i cant imagine wanting to ignore side content after the entire world fell all over themselves for Witcher III for that very reason. one of the well known things about that game was that the side content is just as good and often better than the main story. plus, the more side stuff you do, the better of an ending you can get, apparently.
