I don't think performance/quality mode has any effect on NPC density on series x, its just the way the game handles it needs some optimization.

This took me so many tries to get right without killing anyone, I should have recorded all the attempts, some are ridiculous, like I put down an unconscious body and it drops through the floor and DIES on me... fucking ridiculous... finally get it and then... I didn't get rewarded? It at least didn't tell me what the reward was.

However, when I came down the basement 2 enemies were pretty much back to back, making it impossible to attack without being noticed. No devices to use the distract enemies skill either.
There are numerous Quickhacks affecting enemies’ vision and sound e.g. you can make them deaf or blind without breaking stealth then move in to finish the job.

Soooo how do you get bullets in this game? I'm always almost out.

I had the same issue until I discovered they can be crafted.

You can also purchase them at weapon shops.

I see. I guess I have to develop that tree more if I want to try stealth in the future. Thanks!

Anecdotal, but I believe it does have an impact on NPC density.

Took this footage on my Series X on quality mode (Skip to 0:26). Notice framerates drop into the teens when zooming into the crowds as NPC's spawn and de-spawn. Don't have a clip of performance mode handy, but there was a stark difference between the two modes in terms of overall count.

...and walk away. Clearly.
For real. I don't think I've ever come close to running out of ammo for any of my guns. I loot a lot (like, EVERYTHING - ashtrays, playing cards, etc.), to be sure, but that's the sort of game it is, imo. If he's not looting enough to keep stocked up on ammo, then he's probably missing out on all kinds of other goodies.

I'm pretty sure one of the mansions with a samurai helmet on the gate was suppose to be ours but it was cut. Even in one of the CGI trailers it showed V getting it.

..
it work kinda weird way too, when you walk to some group that would be not happy with you , with this weapon they not see you as treath you cant even attack them until they go to combat mode, and when i walk with it to enemy i was like stealth i could grab them , though i was standing .... wonder how else it could be used... lol

That Sinnerman mission..it's probably about 10 minutes long, but it was more intense and engaging than entire main stories I've seen in almost every video game. And it's completely optional/skippable ( you have to go against what the original goal of mission was...I expect a lot of people ended up doing this).
The writing is just as good/or better than in Witcher, but First person camera and these dramatic moments, really hit you hard.

Wasn't this game supposed to have different types of ammunition for our weapons?

Like hollow point rounds, flechette rounds, explosive rounds and special bullets that heat-up when fired specifically to take down Borgs and Mechs?

Took way longer than ten minutes for me

Pretty good breakdown. People who think this messy release was a cash grab to get holiday bucks are wrong, CDPR didn't care about the holiday release, the botched launch and the bugs are all symptomatic of a culture problem within the company of crunch, pressure, and deadlines, which in turn means sloppy code fixes, cut corners, limited implementation of features, and ultimately leadership that is unwilling to bend to accommodate.

CDPR's leadership didn't want to release an unfinished game, but they also created a culture where no one felt comfortable saying that they needed more time. Management said "just get it done," and took it on faith that it would. Crunch culture is at the heart of all of it.

And it makes it harder to fix after the fact, too, because it's built on a shakier technical foundation.

This is a great video and I will probably be making a thread down the line which will link to it. The caveat is that, while his claims are plausible and his explanations sensible, the specific evidence is flimsy. So much remains unknown at this point. One can try to assemble a seemingly coherent story with the bits and pieces publicly known or rumoured, but critical info remains confidential at this point, including details on the alleged reboot.

As an aside, CD PRojekt has had an open position for Automated Test engineer for gosh knows how long (source).

Drop a katana on the ground before the match and equip it when in fight. Slice your way to victory.

Ah fuck. I saw that pistol but left it because it looked too girly.
No No NOOOO!!

Go back and get it dude. It's god tier. I stacked as much status effect mods on my gear to up the chance of setting goons on fire with this pistol.

Now every 2nd bullet that hits an NPC sets them on fire PLUS I stacked my pistol headshot damage to highest possible so I'm always aiming for the head. This combo does crazy damage.

Sometimes I shoot them once and hide so they start burning and I get those burn damage ticks.

What's the DPS on that sucker?

Man the Dream On quest was incredible. I wish the game had more of this corpo-level craziness, because at the end of the line basically all missions are Street Kid.

I loved the characters, and the twist was nightmare fuel. So good.

Also the layers in this city are just insane. I found this huge city park, it's so crazy to have this serene park with the crazy brutalist architecture in the background.

FUCK I LOVE THIS GAME !!!!!!

I'm trying to build a Stealth Netrunner (hacker) build. There is some things I wish i changed that pisses me off like having Skippy smart pistol do bodyshots first and then switching to permanent headshots after your first 50 bodyshot kills.

^^^ This choice is permanent so if you tell Skippy to do headshots first, he will then do 50 head shot kills and after that he switches to body shots for rest of the game and this decision is irreversible. I made this mistake now Skippy only goes for limbs which makes him kind of useless. When I start my 2nd playthrough I will choose differently.

Tell me about it.

The different layers to this City, for me is the most incredible thing about this game. Have me running over fucking rooftops then double jumping to a street ledge above or sliding down off the side of a building to the street below. Its like Mirrors Edge on crack and in combination with the soundtrack.

Yeah I mean I don't think this guy even played Cyberpunk (he didn't seem to realize Keanu was in the game and not just the ads) he's just piecing it together from articles, but the stuff he's talking about definitely squares with what we've seen and heard, even back in the Witcher 3 days.

Ironically, it's similar problems to bethesda and EA, an insistence on using in-house tech but a a work culture that is not conducive to creating a solid technical foundation.

Just finished it. Will gather some thoughts and write a mini review here.

But all in all, not really great impressions.

So I bought the game digitally when it released on PS4 and I’m getting a PS5 this week.... if it’s not on the game page anymore will I be able to download the PS5 version? Or will it automatically update to the PS5 version. And I know it’s not the actual update but I hear it runs much better on next gen consoles. Would suck if I have to wait until Sony puts it back on the PS store if this is the case

Should be able to download delisted games if you've bought them in the past. However I'm just going on my experience with the PT demo and that was only on PS4 and -I believe - can't be downloaded on PS5. But that was kind of a unique circumstance.

You should be fine. I think. But Sony.

Is it possible to get rid of that jerking that happens after a while of zooming / ADS with sniper rifles?

They are cyberware mods. I picked one up that was incendiary rounds, I just don’t know how to apply it yet. I’m guessing it’s because I don’t have the proper ability or perk to use it.

Those are for the arm cannon cyberware you can buy. The different type of rounds got broken down to different damage types each weapon has I believe. Mods for weapons are really boring in this game barely anything changes beyound slight stat ups.

You can get a weapon mod that removes vertical or horizontal (don't remember which) sway that might help.
