Seriously, a lot of crybabies in this thread.

Is it that bad that we want to over companies money, yet they refuse to work for it? Okay.......guys I guess another round of layoffs at a beloved studio is okay with you, right?

I checked out The Witcher 3 on Pro the other day. And it already looks excellent and upgraded due to DRS and is now a fully locked 60fps everywhere - so I'm really happy with where that is. Its great now as is on Pro.

But Cyberpunk, whilst improved, still has performance drops in some areas and despite looking a bit higher res over base PS5, still looks pretty inconsistent. I went from hating Cyberpunk at the start on release, to loving it by the time they released Phantom Liberty. So all I can do is hope they change their minds at some point. They'll know by now with the reaction, folks certainly want it.
I played a lot of hours in CP2077 on PS5 and the performance and graphics didn't bother me one bit. In fact I thought it looked amazing. I dunno maybe I'm just not this level of gamer anymore.

lol right four years of post-release work, full ports to XSX/PS5, complete overhaul of the game's mechanics, a GOTY-tier expansion pack, that is "refusing to work" for your precious $15.

Hey I have plenty of games in my backlog so I'll be fine. If they are fine with a few million less dollars then more power to them.

They're probably sick of Cyberpunk 2077 right now & want to move on to something else but they could at least have a few outside contractors do a patch .

I think you're vastly overestimating the cost vs reward here. I don't think there's any data to support millions will be lost over not continuing to patch a 4 year old game for a console a small fraction of players will have and an even smaller fraction will have their decision (of those who haven't purchased yet) made based on "Did they make a patch for this specific PlayStation?"

Most of the people begging for a Pro patch already own the game on PS5. CDProjekt Red gain little to nothing financially from creating a patch and are smart enough to realize it.

I think they could sell 50k more units which would easily justify the patch cost and have a healthy ROI

You honestly think 50k units sold will be missed because although the game was updated to PS5, it wasn't updated to PS5 Pro? If you could support that claim, cool, but I don't think there's even 5k people who haven't purchased the game that care that much, let alone 50k

Makes me wonder how much work has to be done in order to make a patch for the PS5 Pro.

I would have assumed it was a matter of changing some values on some .ini file to increase resolution and graphics, but I guess I'm wrong.

Yes I do, you’re not going to be able to support the opposite claim it wouldn’t either

They working on a PS6 version, just dawned on me. We will have a Cyberpunk PS6 native version, watch. Pro patch would make that less impactful.

Same reason RDR2 never got an update.

The burden of proof is on you for claiming it. Most the people complaining in this thread, for example, have admitted to already buying the game. There is no proof these mythical 50k missed sales exist. CDPR knows this. Any sensible person knows this.

They are working full bore on their other projects and said they were done with 2077 months ago. At some point you have to cut the cord and make a decision that the game is what it is.

You can still buy and play one of the best games on this gen on the PS5 Pro.
this to point 1 they are done but imo if they are doing a mac port just go and put i a pro patch as well.

There’s no burden of proof on discussing a hypothetical, which is all we are doing - speculating

Probably because of this

That's a pretty small slice. Now do the Pro slice out of that, and then do the slice of Pro owners who haven't bought the game yet. We're talking like 6 dudes. We've seen by some of the artifacting in Silent Hill and Jedi Survivor that doing such a port isn't a straightforward process. I suppose they just don't see it being worth the man hours.

So inept that their inhouse engine still have the most advanced rendering pipeline of any game (on PC) and are actively helping Epic developing Unreal Engine 5.
So? You forget what kind of shit state CP2077 was released in? And how long it took for them to release it unbroken?

I prefer they don’t patch. Boost version is almost 60fps locked. If they make a patch I’m betting AW2, SH2 will happen again.
Wait? How do you enable boost mode or does this just happen natively on pro? I was holding off on playing it waiting for a patch but this might make me play it next!

Besides they have switched engine and I don’t think they want to dedicate resources anymore on the old one that they won’t use in the future

You select it in the PS5 Pro settings in the display sub menu (I think).

Edit: this is wrong. I was talking about PS4 enhancement. PS5 Pro will just do it for you on PS5 games.

Natively. Games don’t require a patch to have improved framerates and improved DRS resolution. You can also enable a slight image quality improvement via the PlayStation menu for PS4 titles.

Eh too bad. Guess buidling a pc is still viable for me next year. Phantom Liberty is still no 1 of the year when I beat back in jan on the ps5.
