I don't remember the exact wording either.Chapter 4 Challenge
Am dumb, pls help.I don't quite remember what the card said about which treasure chest to open. Now I'm afraid to open them or continue since I'm not sure of myself.

About Ch. 4 I have a question regarding one of the Monokuma Kidswhere trash can has the item I'm looking for? The hint was about a small L and an X....
Hint: Look at the map, notice anything about it?
Solution:The solution is to open the dumpster marked by one letter that doesn't match the shape of the area it's in on the map. This is after one of the optional challenge rooms on the right side of the map in this area, although I don't remember which one.
That one's tricky. It's on the farthest side of the room, second from the bottom, IIRC.Ah OK got it, thanks.
Also about that same chapter which Maiden hasthe child that'll freeze the Beast Monos? Too lazy to restart and check =_=
Yeah, motion controls for precise aiming would really help shooting Monokumas in their weak spots. They're pretty hard to hit.Gameplay isn't all that much so far and I've been playing too much Splatoon so I get frustrated when I can't just tilt the Vita (doesn't this thing have inbuilt gyro?), but haven't died so far or anything, so whatever.
When you get more Bling Bullets, try to equip ones that increase bullet capacity.Just beat Chapter 1 and enjoying it so far.
Just wish Break ammo was not as scarse. Almost ran out...
Just beat Chapter 4,uh, did Haiji just admit that he is a pedophile?
That was probably the one thing that made no sense in terms of how it was supposed to fit into the plot.
They bring it up twice, and then never mention it again.
Maybe just another way of trying to make you dislike everyone except the main pair.
Monokumas are my favourite enemies in the game.Ball
Mainly because they are not that much of a threat, and when they managed to hit you, they made a nice reference. I was giggling when I was hit by them the first time.
ScrewMonokumas though. If you don't nail them, they often come to you with their stupid desperation attack.destroyer
About ammo capacity...I don't think it's possible to run out of essential bullets though...let's say I ran out of break bullets at a crucial junction, there's somehow always a supply drop from thin air on the ground, and I was on despair mode.
This is me on Chapter 4 Despair Mode. Got past the blue building challenege and did all optional ones.If you need a certain ammo type to progress through an area, the game will drop more if you run out. It won't drop under other circumstances though, so it is possible to find yourself completely out of ammo. Luckily you can just run past almost everything in the game outside of challenge rooms and bosses.
The story definitely picks up more steam about mid-chapter 3.Started this yesterday and I'm only up to chapter 2 but it's doing nothing for me so far. The gameplay is just about ok but I was hoping the story might carry it. I adore DR1 & 2, the murder mystery style of them is much more kind of thing but I was hoping that being so invested in the DR universe that I would still love this despite being a completely different type of game.
Does the story pick up later? The hugely over long conversations just aren't interesting. One in particular from the beginning of chapter 2 is about ten minutes long and absolutely nothing happened.
Is this game produced by a secondary team? Just doesn't feel on the same level as the other two games.
I don't mean to be negative, I'm still hopeful that it'll kick in soon and give a reason to care about what happens.
I would say so. Chapter 3 has a unique ending.Does the story pick up later? The hugely over long conversations just aren't interesting. One in particular from the beginning of chapter 2 is about ten minutes long and absolutely nothing happened.
That's kind of the whole point of her character arc. She's a "normal" girl thrown into a crazy situation. She's not supposed to be some sort of badass.I would say so. Chapter 3 has a unique ending.
The main problem I have in the story is the main character is so whiny. She seems to break down and cry every 30 minutes. The other games dealt with despair subtly (plus Toko is fine). So yeah whoever wrote Komaru's part should really never get to write a script again. Hijai is the right balance of weak.
The story definitely picks up more steam about mid-chapter 3.
But the interactions between Komaru and Toko are central throughout.
It's a shame you're not enjoying the Komaru/Toko stuff because I think the general consensus is that it's the strongest aspect of the game. I'm a "story first" type gamer too generally and I think that their interactions are vital to the overall theme of the game. You should find some pretty DanganRonpa style moments coming pretty soon beyond that though.I'm one of those much maligned gamers who ranks story very highly in what they enjoy most and I have never force-skipped a scene in anything I've played. I'm finding myself getting pretty close with this at the moment as these little stop and chat moments aren't adding anything for me and I'm finding myself just waiting for them to end so I can get on and continue exploring. Probably doesn't help that Toko is probably my least favourite character in any of the DR games.
I'll soldier on because I want to be fully up to date for DR3. It's just fortunate that the gameplay is actually quite fun because it's all that's keeping me playing.

I'd definitely recommend sticking with it because it a key part of the DR mythos. As I said before, around min-chapter 3, things start to ramp up.
🐼These posts are giving me hope. Or are you just setting me up for ultimate despair?
Goddammit, how the hell are you supposed to even do thein Chapter 4?Beast Monoku-man challengeI can't even get across to the left side of the arena, the monokumas walking in a circle and the monokuma walking back and forth on the bottom right don't leave me enough time to run and find a safe hiding spot before the second circling monokuma catches me. Can't go across top because of the three monokumas there. What the hell am I missing?
Yes on both fronts. Chapter 5 was actually much shorter than I was guessing (to be fair though, it is pretty cutscene heavy at the end). Chapter 4 felt the longest.I must say, I'm enjoying the game so far, currently at chapter 5 and probably close to the end I guess ? .
This game is definitely not for people who did not play Danganronpa 1 & 2 though.
Yeah, the pacing is really off. The chapters are about as long as the previous games. The thing is the previous games had decent pacing. Here it is 'story -> gameplay -> find an object -> cutscene -> back to gameplay' pretty much repeated until the end.man the pacing on this is really really rough.
I think it is worth a buy if you enjoy DR1. This game was made more for DR1 fans than DR2 I feel.So now that its been a few days! How is the game? Should I buy it now or should wait for a sale? I loved D1 and hated the middle section of D2 (Felt it slogged on for too long; The end payoff was amazing)
Take time to enjoy Feep's beautiful voice acting in Toko's fantasties. I was laughing way too hard.I don't know why but I've bought the game again...
Already platinum'd it a year ago on the Japanese release, but seeing other play it for the first time made me want to play it again. I could've booted up my JP copy but instead I purchased it one more time.
Began yesterday morning, I'm currently in the final zone of the 4th chapter (AKA the farming zone).
I'll platinum it a second time for the heck of it, it's easy to achieve.
Christ the English is so bad. I couldn't find a Japanese audio option in the settings
Ugh. I'll suffer through it I guess.
You can download the Japanese audio from the PSN store for free.
Huh, I think the English voice acting is pretty great, maybe a little cringeworthy in the beginning. It's nice that they have the original voices downloadable though.Christ the English is so bad. I couldn't find a Japanese audio option in the settings

You'd have to start a new file to switch voice tracks though FYI.You, mightynine, are my hero.
