The removal of rag doll corpses has led to some truly hilarious scenes. I don't know if this can be topped.
Has this game sold a million?
Just figured it out. Works very well. I am getting the occasional weird tip but for the most part this works while getting rid of the bad flicker of other SLI profiles.

Those ENB screens are some good screenshot porn. Bit heavy on the effects, and from my own experience I can already see that it's not super great in motion, but it sure makes for top tier screenshots. 
On an unrelated note, someone just told me that I apparently killed not one, but two NPCs so far without noticing. One even was a merchant!

For those who don't want to risk breaking good treasure.
Mimics have a white border at the opening (it's actually their teeth). So you don't have to hit it to check anymore.

I've defeated (names may not be correct): Last Giant, Dragonrider, Old Orenstein ( or whatever the name is ), The Persuer, 3 Sentinels, Flexible Sentinel (the one on the boat ), Last Sinner ( giant soul ).
I really don't know where to go next...the only place I see right now is the big door in the Giant's Forest, which needs some ring to open. There's the statue holding the lever at the start in Majula, but I don't have the item to revive it since I used it on the guy that trades Boss Souls. There is also a door besides that same guy that I cannot open.
I've gone through the levels again and I just can't seem to figure this out . After the Last Sinner I went to the bonfire in the prison cells, which then leads to the underground cavern where the boat arrives ( dead end if you go through this way ). After the Dragonrider I end up on the other side of these underground caverns, which lead me back to the cells in the night castle.
I'm basically on a loop =\

I just started the game on PC, after over 110 hours on PS3. And..
This might be a stupid question, but I have never seen this icon before. What does it mean? Appeared right after character creation.
You can toggle between running and walking with ... Z or C or something.

you should check out the tunnel that goes to Heide's Tower of Flame again...(do not warp to Heide's bonfire, go from Majula)

talk to the lady until she decides to move to Majula and then look for her there.

just for anyone eyeballing the Soul Spear Barrage spell. don't bother. it might come in handy on a boss fight or two, but it's pretty useless otherwise.

To an extent, yeah. Though I've gone back and played DS1 and Demons recently. As I mentioned, I think the increase in bonfires/warping from start makes DS2 much easier.
I'm loving it thus far.
Just beat the boss in Undead Purgatory, and that was awesome!
Though, prior to that point, a lot of the bosses felt like cheap imitations

of the first Dark Souls. The Old Dragonslayer fight really fucked with my perception of how wild Ornstein and Smough really were in the first game- that to me was the best boss fight of the last game, and I had so much trouble until I beat it that I almost gave up. The Belfry Gargoyles also felt much easier than the original fight. And some of these other fights involving three of the same enemy type seem a bit uninspired.

If you fully drain your stamina, you have to wait until it refills completely to run again. (or do another action in between, like rolling, or something)
Who did you kill to get it?
hmmm wasn't able to do that one.
I've noticed that if you drain it completely, then it won't register until your stamina gauges charges back up.
It registers every time if you don't let your stamina drain all the way down.
Are you referring to
Huntsman's Copse
If that is the case, I must have missed the ember.

Does anyone know if there is a fix for no sound through HDMI bug? I can't bring myself to play the game if I can't experience half of the atmosphere.
The ember isn't in there, but that place leads to the location where the ember is.

You should check out the path forward from Heides tower of Flame. It's the other location accessible from Majula.
find a summon of a cleric ... lighting spear takes off a lot from him. the first appearance he can be killed with 4 or 5 hits.
Beat the game several times, this one really doesn't seem to do or unlock anything. If it's water it might be useable to water yourself down so the poison doesn't affect you as much. However, if that's the case it's better to just burn the windmill.
