I always thought reddit had a rather large troll following though. My theory was that the trolls would be a smaller percentage so even if trolls downvoted everything, there would be more people to vote up making it still positive. I'm not saying you should rate everything, but anything cute, thought-provoking, educational, or helpful should be preserved.

Why is PVP so laggy for me
I think my machine is fairly similar (Radeon 5870, Phenom X6 1055, 4GB RAM). It almost never drops below 60fps with maxed out (in-game) settings at 1080p. I think they did a pretty great job at optimising performance.
Which reminds me, it's going to be so nice coming back for another play through for the inevitable DLC content.
Artorias of the Abyss was the best DLC I've ever experienced by far.

Well this is the thing, I'm not doing anything else and my connection is pretty good. It's almost unplayable though.
Dual Katanas and a bow. Also binoculars to stare at the Emerald Herald
Why is PVP so laggy for me
At least 70% of the duels that I had untill now were laggy.
Today I had a duel with one guy that I almost kill (his health bar was practically empty) and without seeing any healing animation (just after a backstab), his health recovered almost completely.

There is lag every now and then but nothing that makes it unplayable in my experience.
What is your networking setup like and have you scanned for malware recently? It could also be steam being terrible.

Classy (totally do it too, don't judge me). Bows are a good edition to melee characters I don't like katana's myself personally though.

It absolutely is. Maybe we paid for it in world design and smooth connections between areas, but there was definitely something gained.
I salivate at the idea of the "A-team" getting back together for Souls 5 and combining the scale+production values of Dark Souls II with the connections+world of Dark Souls and the polish+creativity of Demon's Souls. That game could ascend to the tops of "Greatest Game of All Time" lists even more dramatically than its predecessors.
If Project Beast somehow meets that description I'll still play it and be happy, though I will always grumble about having to buy new hardware for it.

If you don't mind me asking, what section are you in? That should give me a good idea of how much further you have to go.
Took me roughly 53 hours to clear dark souls 2, and that's coming from someone who has 200 hours of experience in OG Dark Souls under his belt.
I have a situation, and it's really frustrating. I was playing the Shaded Ruins, I had two shades in there helping me. 2 of us jumped down the hole, cleared out the Basilisks and I opened the door to Ornifex, the other Shade dropped down from above and angroed 3 of the lion soldier dudes and they jumped down after him. They killed ORNIFEX?!!
I've looked online to see how I can revive her, no one seems to know with 100% certainty.
I've been back to this area 3-4 times and her grave isn't in the room.
Any ideas? Please tell me this has happened to someone else.
This area seems to be loaded to fail, I mean if someone jumped down, freaked over the amount of Basilisks and opened the door in a panic, she'd be killed again...
It's suspicious since she is super valuable...

This game is an invader's dream. Being able to go to any bonfire and invade from the bonfire most while people are hollow is just too good. I really think if there was an infinite use Red eye orb the invasions would be over the top. In NG+ you can buy one for 10k and when you hit your level cap you make that back fairly easily.
I know a lot of folks are sour on this compared to Dark Souls, but I'm enjoying it exponentially more by virtue of it being so well optimized. I'm getting a smooth framerate constantly in this, so I'm able to enjoy it more. Even with DSfix, it could only go so far towards optimization of Dark Souls on my laptop. I won't be able to truly appreciate that game at a fully playable level until I get a big boy PC.

Should I transfer my VGR points over 20 to ADP then?
It is indeed huge. I'm suprised that it is this long despite it being my third souls game.

And after 48 hours binge playing this game I have completed my first run through with my Knight. All I can say is that this game is packed with so much content it was insane and easily justified on purchasing this at full price on Steam. I loved the journey on picking up the pieces of the story as my character progressed further in the madness and exploring the lore I had come across.
Game was tough as nails at some parts though but I am glad I had help from some online bros Will soon do NG at some point. Can't wait to see what will be next!
