I restarted three times and it's still "updating" rather than unpacking. First and last time I do this pre-loading thing. And now I'm getting a disk write error?

Verify the game cache, it should sort out the write error.

Wish I had your Internet. I have 20mbps and am lucky if it tops 2mbps downloading from Steam.

It's taking quite a while for my SSD to unpack it too.

I think it's the 1GB download that's the issue.

i had a disk read problem with firewatch and had better luck installing on a different drive. Also saw this thread about a disk read error on windows 10 with fallout 4, where a small file was stuck in the "common" folder: https://www.reddit.com/r/Fallout/comments/3s700u/getting_the_disk_write_error_on_windows_10_here/
