Alright, Tiamat is as far as i go. I have to pick up a sticky bomb, aim it at a moving target that is shooting fire at me, aim at a torch, and again aim at a moving target that is shooting fire at me. When you go into aiming mode you can't move or aim for shit. I can't believe they built a boss fight around such a broken mechanic.
I'm going to say I found the Tiamat boss fight an absolute pain in the ass as well. Are you playing on a PS3? I have to wonder if it was partially the awful Sony analog sticks, or just dual analog aiming in general.
I have to say, I think the Boss fights are some of the worst parts of the game. I'm ready to fight the Spider boss and I just haven't gone back to the game yet to fight her. Mostly cause I know on some level its going to be frustrating and annoying. I haven't gotten the sense of "WOAH that was an awesome boss fight, it was hard and challenging but so much fun!" from any of them in this game so far. Hopefully soon I'll get back to it.
I'm not trying to say that I don't want a challenge or for the bosses to be hard, or anything like that. I just find in this game, the boss fights tend to be tied to a particular mechanic that isn't as thought out, or refined as it needs to be. The Tiamat boss fight is a prime example of this.
The game has some really awesome parts, its just typically not the boss fights. If you can push yourself to power through the Tiamat one, and continue with the game I think you'll be glad you did. I'm looking forward to seeing what these guys do with the sequel. While I may harp a lot on the boss fights, and some other just frustratingly annoying parts in the game, I actually do like it. I think its just really rough around the edges.
