The [real] comics Doomsday is exactly like Lex. It's the kind of monster he would create.

The creator that beats and tortures its creation, so much that the creation's hatred becomes instinctual.

man why do people hate comics doomsday

Huh?

Comic Doomsday is one of the most popular villains.

In anticipation of Suicide Squad, I made Katana in Soulcalibur V a few days ago. I figured she'd be the most fitting character to put in there.

Unfortunately, the mask I used doesn't cover her whole face...so, I just pretend it got broken in battle. Hah. There were other options, but none were good. I had also made classic Harley Quinn a few years back, though I might fix her up soon. I'd make more characters, but I ran out of free slots a long time ago. I had to delete an alternate version of a character I had made before just to make Katana.

Speaking of Katana, did you know that they already put her movie costume in the comics? They also gave her a short sword to carry alongside the Soultaker, also like in the movie. I wonder if anyone else will get their movie costumes in the comics at some point. Maybe give Harley hers for like one issue, since she's always wearing something different in them.

I don't know that I'd call Doomsday popular. I don't necessarily agree he's most hated either I guess....just kinda there. Just a big mindless plot device.

I think most people are fairly indifferent

Wonder Woman definitely looks like the movie version.

Superman, not quite as much. He looks like a mix between the classic and New 52 versions, though I guess the ends of his sleeves look like the movie versions. I don't like that they gave him blue boots, and I never liked the red belt. I think red boots and a yellow/gold belt would look better.

And since she was brought up...I only liked New 52 Supergirl in her action figure, which I have. I like the new TV-inspired costume more.

One thing I like about Rebirth...everyone no longer has those pointless tech lines all over them.

I love her Suicide Squad design, so I don't mind.

Without watching Man of Steel? Yeah, I guess. All you really need to know going in is shown early in BvS.

Would still recommend just watching MoS though.

yea, MoS.. okay, I'll probably watch it first. Didn't know if it would be worth it. Just being movie lazy haha

Is it okay to watch BvS without watching Superman?

It's not completely necessary. In regards to the plot for BvS the ending of MoS is covered in the opening scenes. What you need to know is already in the film. I think one should watch it though to understand where Clark as a person is coming from mentally. Assuming things go the way they look like they're going MoS, BvS, and Justice League are likely to be a Superman trilogy story wise. BvS sorta assumes you have though in regards to a few characters as they aren't introduced in a way to fully explain who they are. Similar to Pepper in Avengers. She's there and may or may not be important but her introduction is way back in Iron Man 1.

Has there been any word on who might be composing the Justice League movie?

I'm listening to the Dark Knight Returns soundtrack right now and my god its amazing. I wouldn't mind seeing Christopher Drake take a swing at it.

Interesting. I thought Junkie was confirmed long ago.

If anyone is interested, the Suicide Squad Funko Pop! figures are now available from Hot Topic's website: http://www.hottopic.com/funko/?q=suicide squad
The top two are exclusive to them. There's also a Rick Flag, which is missing from the picture. They'll all be available in stores when they open in the morning. It looks like they'll have more than just that, too. I saw one of their stores post this on Instagram:
GameStop might have the figures later, too. They're getting an exclusive prison Harley figure.

Also, here's some new shirts:

should look at jon ottman or somehow get zimmer back for justice league.

i'd kill for affleck to recruit trent reznor/ross for batman. the ominous soundtrack would kick so much ass.

I appreciate the reference.

Speaking of Suicide Squad, any guesses as to who in the Squad will survive? My guesses are...
  • Harley Quinn
  • Deadshot
  • Captain Boomerang
  • Killer Croc
  • Katana
  • Either Rick Flag or El Diablo
I could see Rick Flag's death being used to have Katana step up from bodyguard to the one who keeps the Squad in line. But at the same time, they may want to keep Rick Flag around for later films.

Katana's also a member of Batman's Outsiders, the Justice League, and Birds of Prey...they can't kill her off now!
This. If Rick Flag ends up dying, I could see Katana (as stated earlier) stepping up to fill his role. But considering this image...
..., I'm starting to think that both Katana & Rick Flag will make it out of the movie.

Yeah this is definetely the winner team. Those not in this photo are dead.

Diablo's going out in a blaze of redemption, Rope Guy is getting killed off in Act 1 to demonstrate that no, Waller is not bluffing about the bombs in their necks. Probably going to be talked into trying to escape by Boomer, who will absolutely survive, because the universe is not kind enough to the rest of the cast to kill him.

Rick Flag ain't gonna die, Tom Hardy was suppose to be take that role.

Well unless Re-writes happened

Maybe that's why he pulled out? Or because the character is people no one cares about? To be honest if Tom Hardy is going to be in the DC Film Universe, they need to give that man something to chew on. Something meaty.

Rope Guy and El Diablo are totally dying. In terms of body count, there are a handful of fodder soldiers for that. Although, I'm imagining Harley and Deadshot somehow disable the bombs and go free. Croc and Boomerang get tossed back in jail.

He pulled out because The Revenant went way over schedule. He mentioned it in a interview.

I'm glad he pulled out for sure, but I don't think he's lying, The Revenant had a big production problem that became a marketing device later on to be honest

Was it the Revenant that forced him to miss out on this?

I know it was partially the circuit for Mad Max that put him in a crunch

I think it was the combination of the two. I know reports said the Revenant was supposed to finish in February or March of last year and it's rumored to have went on until August. Add in the Mad Max press tour and it's easy to see why he was forced to drop out.

Yeahin an interview Tom Hardy blamed Alejandro for overshooting for Revenant for missing out on Suicide Squad.

“Warner Bros. is my home studio and I love them so I was really bummed out. I wanted to work on that and I know the script is really fucking alley and I also know what’s gonna happen with The Joker and Harley Quinn in that; I won’t give away too much…it’s fucking alley. And that whole territory is something that I would certainly—I mean, everybody loves The Joker. Everybody loves The Joker. Will Smith is a dope guy, but everybody loves The Joker and that’s gonna, I think, be a very important film for fans.”

“There’s a very practical element as to why I’ve missed out on that foray, which is because Alejandro [G. Inarritu] has overshot by three months in Calgary, so we’ve got to go back out to Patagonia or Alaska to continue shooting The Revenant which has turned into a much bigger beast than we thought, but that also looks exceptional.”
