*Looks back at the post*Dude. Azrael., as in character from Batman comics. Not Brian Azzarello, the writer
I am down for some Lois Lane adventures, even if the premise is pretty much exactly the current Thor run.*Looks back at the post*
So how bout that Superwoman? lol
DC's plan for Superman is weird. Like, they want to bring back classic supes but they don't want to get rid of supes legacy in the New 52 so there just gonna transfer his powers over to Lois and have classic Supes and Lois hanging around as the new status quo.I am down for some Lois Lane adventures, even if the premise is pretty much exactly the current Thor run.

What's the general opinion on N52 Supes?
I already have Unchained, is it worth it to start at vol 1 N52 Superman? Action comics Superman? birthright (if that is even related to n52)?

Real talk, I'd love to get an ongoing with Truth-tier Superman going around doing lower level stuff. Like the moment with the anchor chain in Action Comics, or participating in Mythbrawl. That shit was fun.
so Post-Crisis Superman, the one that was killed by Doomsday, turned to electric Superman, the one I grew up with will basically fill the role of pre-Crisis Superman from Infinite Crisis?
I really liked Truth Superman when he wasn't moaning about being weaker. That really should have lasted alot longer. Hell, since they are replacing Nu52 Supes with Rebirth they could have done it then and had a longer run. Dang, I honestly think I like a Superman who can't fly and wears regular clothes better than the regular one.
I really liked that version of Superman, Hal Jordan in JL Vol 1 was more of a bother than anything (in the comic and in War then again one is the adaptation of the other I guess).I like him. People were pretty down on him for a while, though. He was cocky as hell in Action (and JL volume 1), and his relationship with Lois was... uh, not particularly functional. But I always liked him alright. Though it's looking increasingly likely he's about to bite it, they're giving him a decent sendoff. Super League's been p. good.
No don't read Vol1 Supes. Just read Geoff's run, it's the only good thing about it.
Grant Morrison's Action Comics is pretty great at the start and then gets extremely weird and offputting once Supes gets his regular costume.
and this one is ok?
ok so my little shopping list will have Supes Action#1 and Shazam for sure.
I guess the good way to read them if I were up to date would be the monthlies or something that you get sent through the mail or something.
You know the publications that cost less than 5 bucks apiece or something?
I understand that the DC Rebirth titles have a two year story arc that all books will be a part of, to varying degrees.
Masterminded by DC CCO Geoff Johns, it will begin with DC Universe: Rebirth #1 in May and conclude in the summer of 2018.
Geoff Johns has been having meetings with all the DC Rebirth writers to better align their work with this plan, and to weave plotlines in and out of all the titles.
There have also been examples when DC co-Publisher has laid out plans with a writer, only for Geoff Johns to scotch them all and tell the writer to ignore everything DiDio just said.
With real Azrael appearing in recent Batman & Robin Eternal I really hope DC will consider giving him his own series somewhere down the line.
wait Jean Paul Valley is back ? what issues is he in ?
Rich cooking up that rumor mill again.
Don't really put faith into anything Rich says but I'd be down for a great dc universe story. I came to the game later but I loved infinite crisis's storyline, starting with Identity Crisis and ending with 52. It's really a great long running saga of multiple storylines. I don't know who coordinated all of that but I'd love it again.
9 and 10

Some news DCBros
First is a closer look at The Super-man.
I'm hoping this will be a dark horse title, I've always liked the idea of a super hero set in another country so culturally different than us, written by an author familiar with the culture. Plus I like the design and art style.
Didio refutes BC's latest rumor. He does say every character, I'm sure they've got some events planned but maybe not line wide all the time.
July Solicitations
More on Batman & Joker with Rebirth.
And for King's new twice-monthly Batman series (with artist David Finch), the catalog reveals that a "mysterious hero naming himself Gotham arrives" in Gotham City, claiming to be the city's "newest protector." The book will explore whether Batman embraces the new young hero or not.
Batman group editor Mark Doyle says of the new "Gotham" hero: "He's young and idealistic…like someone who joins the Peace Corps… but goes into the heart of some Third World war zone thinking he knows how to fix everything. One problem leads to another."
And in the futuristic Batman Beyond, the once-believed-dead Bruce Wayne (as seen in Future's End) could be returning just as Terry McGinnis takes back his mantle. (Despite previously announcing McGinnis would return, the new catalog leaves who will be under the mask an open question, and even placing the odds of Tim Drake returning as better than McGinnis returning).
"The AARP poster boy must be close to a century old by Batman Beyond's time. But if Gotham's in need of a protector, Bruce Wayne will answer the call once more-just keep the defib machine and a double does of Centrum Silver on standby!" reads the DC description, however they also allude to Joker returning, asking "wouldn't it be the ultimate prank to pull if the Clown Prince of Crime not only survived, but adopted the guise of his most hated enemy?"
Added July solicits to OP. Cool looking stuff.
Also, I knew Rich was full of it again.
ALSO also, I love New Super-Man's cover.
So, new 52 superman is officially still alive (barring the dramatic cover), but depowered?
Or is it some shapeshifter nonsense?

Alive and de-powered seems like.
Pretty much exactly what I wanted. He just needs to be a supporting character in Superwoman and it will be perfect.
They'll probably kill off Post Crisis Superman in a crisis story sometime down the line and new 52 Superman will take the mantle. It's really the only reason to keep him around.
