The shadows are so bad. So I died in the demo and there's no retry, got booted to the main menu.

The demo is super short. I literally ran up the main street, found some Zombrex in an ambulance and that's it, demo over.

So, myth busting:

No you can't play freely in the trial version: it ends when you finish the first "mission".

So, just 1 mission, no save option and 1 area - that's what you get for the trial. But honestly, for 400 points you can't simply go wrong with this one. DR1 was one of the biggest disappointments for me ever but i kinda got the hang of this one instantly. Definitely day 1, even 1 the frustrating time-limit.

it runs smooth, can get a little sloppy when there are some particle effect ands a lot of zombies here and there, but it runs smoothly. And yeah, it's not pretty but not bad either. Especially with this many zombies.

And they fixed the crappy gun controls, you can now move and aim freely. But you still has to stand still to throw something.

any idea where i can get 400 us ms points? (i have a credit card)
if you are in the US you can buy them from the zune app I think, in 400 chunks.

I will be picking this case zero up once I get some points a day or two from now.

I tried to buy it, but it keeps giving an error code so I downloaded the trial.
Monday Night Combat the other week took until about 1:30pm gmt before it could be bought, it was annoying as shit while all my other friends were in a party playing online :(

Well, this feels like Dead Rising all right. Shame about the erratic framerate, but the village seems big enough to explore and combining stuff is fun. Definitely a steal for that price.

Glad the horrific screen tearing from the original seems to have gone.

What the hell is with the running speed, I assume you can level this up or something?

If you go into the menu screen you can see things that will level up as you level up. Like say... running for example.

I already like Chuck more than Frank, for what it's worth. =P

I’ve been playing for like 30 minutes now, and I came in here to post exactly this. Chuck is so damn awesome!

And so far I’m loving what I’m playing! It’s extremely fun and runs well.....a lot are gonna be surprised by this!

My lord, the modeling on that little girl's face is rough.

I miss the creepily real face textures of the original.

Anyone else having problems signing into US XBL? Specifically in NY?

I can't sign in either and I'm from the Netherlands. It seems more people are having this issue..

Positve impressions? Makes me hopeful for DR2.

My only complaint so far is that Chuck's running speed is awfully slow, but since that's apparently upgradeable, it's a non-issue. Fucking awesome!

And I just know Fortune City will bring a whole lot more weapon set ups and a bit more variety in locations, so I am not judging DR2 based on what I am seeing in Case Zero, at least on an environmental level.

It's 'up', but it comes up with an error when you go to purchase. I've downloaded the trial and it seems fun. Framerate is a bit choppy when there are lots of zombies on but fun nonetheless. That said, I will miss Frank's shin kicks. :lol
