Not usually one to complain but general gameplay feels far slower than DR1. Chuck feels and moves more like a tank and the frame rate is often brought to a slide-show (especially when viewing fire effects).

Is this really using MT framework??

You can upgrade your speed.

This game does not use MT Framework.

It takes a bit, but once you get the chainsaw, it's home sweet home. Then you make the double saw, and it's this new home rocks! The loading for entering the safe house is annoying, but that's my only problem with it so far. Framerate seems good to me, and looks like it's a nice chunk of content for $5.

Are you using a VGA cable?
no, HDMI

edit: just bought this, already noticed texture pop-in, object pop-in, mediocre framerate.... overall it looks worse that dead rising 1, not sure why though :-/ i think it's the lightning

The loading and framerate are both totally bearable, end of.

I see the cornerstone of gaming journalism that is IGN didn't like it. They seem to criticise DR2 for being DR-like (load times, survivor text etc,), which - as a big fan of the original - seems like a good thing.

I'll let you read the review for yourselves anyway. Iguess 400 points is too expensive for some people...

Tried the demo of the paid demo.

Still feels like a paid demo. Which isn't bad, because I like Dead Rising, but yeah... not going to drop $5 when in a couple of weeks I can get the full game on PS3. Sorry.

Just finished it and I really enjoyed it, the load times are a bit annoying but overall it improved over all the little gameplay things that hampered DR1 like the aiming and survivor AI.

Will go back to grab the rest of the achievements later on.

I never enjoyed DR1 because the terrible tearing but I love case 0. They have to do more about this kind of demo/prologue or whatever, is brillant. I'm going to buy the game thanks to this.

Strap on your hooker ...
Finished with the A ending and rescued all survivors (not on the same save, though). Pretty good for $5! I do kinda wish there was another optional psycho to go after or something, though.

And the fixed camera angle on the ending motorcycle escape was HORRENDOUS.

Where do I use the Shed Key? Unlocked all the other stores but don't what its used for.

BTW you can climb up Dumpsters to get up places. Spent about 6 game hours before I found out.

I hate having to ask this as opposed to finding it myself, but I've reloaded a save file several times now, so screw it; where can I find some more Zombrex for Katey? I gave the one I had to a survivor, so I need more. The only one I know if is in the pawn shop, but it's $25,000, and I only have about $12,000.

Bob doesn't give me any new tasks until 7.00pm, so I can't seem to find any more survivors to get some money.

If somebody could help me out, it'd be appreciated, but please spoiler the answer for the sake of other people. :)

EDIT: OK, I just realised you can bust open slot machines for money. Hopefully that should cover it.

If you haven't already, you can find Gemini's gems near a yellow car in the quarantine zone. That gives you $15-20,000 if memory serves me correctly.

Um, Case 0 is a 360 exclusive, and it's not going to be released on the PS3 in any form. This is the only way to get this content.

The poster could have an Xbox AND a PS3.
I know... shocking.

How do you make the double chainsaw? I haven't seen anything that would work as a paddle.

It's directly across from the gas station along the right side of the building to the right of the police station, if that makes any sense

No point really then, he won't be able to import anything.

My only real complaints with Case Zero are the weird delays between pressing a button and the menus actually reacting. =/ I hope the full game isn't like this.

So far I like it but....

-Why the hell is using weapons not mapped to the right trigger? I thought Canadians made this? Come on.
-He moves kind of slow. I kept pressing other buttons hoping one would make him move faster.
-Graphics I thought would be a little better. Doesn't look better than recent games like Resident Evil 5 and Devil May Cry.

For what it's worth I expect the loadtimes on the PC version to be like the other recent Capcom games: DMC4, Lost Planet, SF2, Resident Evil 5 all have loadtimes of like 2 seconds max on my PC, which isn't even that new.

So ... I guess doing this kind of thing is GAF approved awesome sauce?

Release "extra chapter that could have been included in the full game" before release of the game = so cool of the developers.
Release "extra chapter that could have been included in the full game" after release of the game = fucking awful, damn greedy bastards.

Downloading now, 400pts is an really good price for the value that it seem to bring.

Completed it. Absolute bargain for 400 points, especially given the replay value to level your character up and the fact you can use him in Dead Rising 2. The only real complaint I have is the framerate dips a lot, particularly during the finale.

I wasn't a massive fan of Dead Rising 1 (despite getting Frank up to lvl 50) and a lot of my biggest complaints from it seem to be fixed - mainly the awkward controls, screen tearing and save system (shush).

The end credits music :lol

Played the demo of the demo and I'm pretty optimistic for the game. It felt like what one would expect a Dead Rising sequel to feel like. It seemed quite polished and the controls felt good.

I think I'll likely buy Case 0 and play through the whole thing.

Beat it twice with A and D endings. This game is fantastic. Im so so soooo excited for DR2. Oh and the only bad thing I can say is
the motorcross bike cam/controls were pretty bad, I just crashed into everything

- Guns are LT+RT. Objects with a melee attack is X. Isn't that how most games work?
- Your speed will increase when leveling up (but only in the full game since the prologue only goes up to level 5)

But you hardly get guns and most of the fun comes from using the objects so it would have been better if everything was mapped to them and I really don't see why it could not be used for both. I would much rather drill or swing a chainsaw with the right trigger instead of pressing a button. And at least give the option to map them.

Ahhh, good to hear about the speed.

HANDLEBAR - Jason + Archie have it behind the department store. Trade them a broadsword from the Hunting Store for it. Jason + Archie will only appear after 3pm.

It took me about two hours to complete the campaign. It definitely felt like $5 worth of content. I'm gonna go back later to get all of the achievements. It's going to be fun to 100% this!

I'm for Case 0-like downloadable prologues. If Blue Castle Games/Capcom ever does something like this again they have my money. I hope Case 0 does well for them. And now I'm confident that Dead Rising 2 will trump the original Dead Rising gameplay wise, structure wise and feature wise. If Dead Rising 2 gets the casino mall, humor, characters and quirky psychos right then it's going to be gold.

is there a timelimit to complete objectives? The tensions of getting everything done in time was a great meta game of the first dead rising along with planning where i needed to save. If it has both of those intact i will get the pc version for sure. better controls is a plus but i did not think they needed to be upgraded.

I totally appreciate developer make prologue like this for a cheap price. I hope more publishers follow this route. To all the 'demo' haters, if this is a prologue to a franchise you love (imagine Halo Reach prologue or one single CoD multiplayer mode), you would bow down like a slave and ask to pay to get more.

I think this is a perfect way to get fans to wait for the upcoming game, newcomers to pay tiny bit to get a taste of the series (that is far more than a 20 minutes demo and actually have a resolved conclusion, and not an abrupt message out of nowhere asking you to buy the full game)

the graphics are pretty terrible in this, right? Everything is a shade of orange. DR1 looked better. I do like the weapons better in this one.
I don't think Dead Rising looks better than Case Zero. Graphics are to be expected with a semi open world and that many zombies on screen. Seriously, the amount of zombies greatly outnumbers the first DR. That said, I think the game looks great and the animations are much improved from the first game. Having a ton of fun with this and cannot wait for Dead Rising 2.

Just finished it. So epic. Love Chuck so much more than Frank, and I just know I will enjoy looking at his relationship with Katey in the final game.

So good. So so good.

Thanks for the list. Been playing it all day. The forumla is all here, which I'm pleased about. Nothing but zombie killing fun like the first. I'd say the graphics overall are a slight notch up, but there is some FR issues here. Only real issue I have at this point is the loading. Fix that and I will be a happy man. Oh yea Chuck is great. Will have to wait and make a judgement call on Chuck or Frank when it is all said and done. Oh yea and I like where they are headed with the story early on.

As far as I can see, you can only download Case Zero to your 360.
in the games for window live marketplace i'm seeing nothing.

DO NOT TEASE US SO MR NELSON.

i would download the SQUEE out of this on pc.

Can't decide whether I should try and hook my 360 back up, from what ive read of peoples views I get the feeling it will be worth it.
