Ehh, I wouldn't throw the Celtics under the bus for not trading for him. We've yet to see if he can not be a locker room cancer.

Although obviously if you're the Pelicans you do the trade every single day.

I'm reading things around that Pelicans can't offer Boogie that super extension because of the trade? Is that true?

Boogie and his agent must be pissed at this. No player should do business with this Kings front office, especially after promising to not trade boogie not even a month ago.

They can't offer him the super-extension as detailed in the new CBA, no. That only applies to guys who you acquired on a rookie deal.

They can still offer him 30% more than anyone else though.

I feel like I'm gonna wake up soon and find out this is all a dream.

Or we're gonna find out Tuesday that Cousins committed a felony this weekend or something.

It's gonna be like when I thought the Lakers were gonna get Chris Paul and the league said fuck you.

Ironically a Lakers fan but gotta support the home team too.

The super extension is meant to draft and retain a player for their entire career. SAC didn't want to pay that much for Boogie for whatever reason.

Ah, that's how it works, thanks.

Still, that's a lot of money left off the table for Boogie now.

I mean, worst case scenario for NO, he and Davis clash and the pairing doesn't work at all.

Then Cousins is still a hell of a trade chip this summer and/or next year. Teams and GMs love to convince themselves they are one guy away or can convince a guy to sign an extension.

Cousins with a pending murder charge is still worth more than Buddy Hield and a 1st.

LOL

or cousins will be a pain in the ass and fuck over AD in the process

then again, it is just half a year, so it isn't like the damage will be severe

He's under contract next year too.

Joel is an injury waiting to happen and I've completed soured on him. If he can't even play more than 50 games in a season what good is he

I wouldn't really count Saric as a big but I do really like him

All Noel has is defense. And he's gonna get a big offer sheet come free agency and I don't know if the sixers match it

At least with Ohkafor he still has his rookie contract and you can use him off the bench
The corpse of Elton Brand is better than Jahill

Embiid is one of the best Cs already, let his ass stay healthy...league got a problem

I mean he fucks over AD then what? They don't make the playoffs or struggle for the 8 seed just like they been doing.

This has no downside for the Pelicans.

So if the Kings buyout Galloway and Evans, what's stopping them from coming back? Just asking.

IIRC, you cannot re-sign with a team you were traded from until the following offseason (as in not this offseason, but next).

I may be wrong, but I know there are safeguards in place against that.

Also apparently the Pels are looking to move Terrence Jones now

@ChrisBHaynes

New Orleans now seeking trade partner for forward Terrence Jones, league sources tell ESPN. Mutual decision on behalf of team, Jones' camp.
