Maddow really isn't pulling punches on corporate support for democrats and Hillary.
Oh no, the "cut it out" shit again..

This did not work during the regular debate, Hillary. Giving words to your donors is not convincing people..
This time she'll tell wall street they can't get dessert unless they behave. :3

You should maintain a certain level of skepticism towards the Democratic Party. They too are beholden to corruption and dance to the music of their campaign donors, maintain a tight border between the political establishment and any newcomers or outsiders, and make promises that, once elected, they do not keep. Just compare the statements of Senator Obama to the actual policies of President Obama.

Still the lesser evil compared to the carnival of lunacy that is the current Republican party.

My man.

The same assumption was made about me when I had previously mentioned that "I'd sleep fine if we got a republican president".

You shouldn't assume that people who aren't white privileged straight males have to - by default - be a democrat.

I admit I'm making an assumption but that doesn't change the fact that if you & your family (to say nothing of your friends) don't fall under one or more of those axes, then which party gets in the White House (given the candidates we have this cycle) can have a big impact on your quality of life. It's an assumption but I don't think its unfair.

I don't think anyone is ignorant to these truths you are saying. I think the only point is that the Democrats seem able to actually discuss policy. We get very little of that comparatively in the Republican debates (putting aside the quality of the actual ideas)

Thats weird because I thought Hillary was doing well and I don't really support her. She just hasn't ever made me inspired to vote for her.

No he's right. she's doing fine here.

I want your Kool-Aid, bro. There's gotta be some confirmation bias here.

The people in this thread who are very clearly pro-Hillary seem to think this is okay, but everyone else is noticing the spin and dodge gimmick.

EDIT: THAT PICTURE.

If anything, I've found this event thus far to be pretty.. dare I say.. dull?

All three of them have had good moments, and I find myself nodding along as we've gone through it. But nothing truly jaw-dropping.

I wish that the audience for this were larger, just so that more voters could appreciate the seriousness with which the Dems' candidates address these issues. They might offer platitudes or avoid committing to specifics, but they all sound sane, especially in comparison with the fucknuttery coming from the events that the other side has.

I'm not all there right now but how did she get into gang violence?

What?

We watching the same thing? She dodged answering like, two questions and spun them about.

To be fair to her, she is VERY good at that (i.e. dodging questions and spinning them about). She's the best debater - and BSer - out there from either side. And I don't think second place is close either.

Overall, Hillary is talking like a front runner that isn't fighting for votes and she is trying to say too many different things that touch too many different nerves.

She's obviously just trying to hit every possible bullet point she can. If you have to ramble on to get there, thats what you do.

I mean good on her for her position on police violence but how did that answer come from a question about police in classrooms?

I'm all for answers that are geared towards garnering applause, but I feel like she's just grabbing heated topics at random and slapping them together to form a long winded rant...

I feel like Hillary's answers are amounting too much to "we need to have a discussion".

You're running for president; I want policies.

Yep. Her approach to this forum comes from a completely different perspective, for better or worse.

Personally, I don't think her answers are doing her any favors, but they're not hurting her either.

Yeah she doesn't have to make waves. I enjoy politics and she's doing a great job with politics.
